Just to clarify what Muzan said: the Upper moons haven't changed in 100 years. And the master said the current Hashira are the best since the first ones that used breathing forms.

Yeah , KnY big arching theme could be seen with how muzan and kagaya contradict each other. One is a coward who resist death on whatever cost even hurting others the other one face death and accepts it, doing whatever he can with his live to make it worthwhile

I’m surprised Muzan didn’t disolve the lower ranks sooner. He even mentioned they’re killed off and replaced all the time while the upper ranks hadn’t changed in a century. Still, seeing how easily Muzan was able to slaughter them just showcased how brutal and powerful he is.

I think it's mentioned somewhere that Rui is Muzan favorites simply because they have similar background,so the whole system were made around so Rui can be within reaching hand

I've seen many villains and while I acknowledge their role in the story, its rare for me to actually feel how threatening they are in the plot. DS did a good job with making Muzan feel ominous to the audience.

If I was Muzan Jackson, I would’ve spared the lower ranks. Tanjiro would have got killed by lower moon 5 if it wasn’t for Giyuu. If noone showed up (I’m pointing at the pillars) Tanjiro would have died. I mean, Lower moon 4 is stronger than Lower moon 5 and 6. Tanjiro would have a way more harder time trying to defeat Lower moon 4.
Lower one got killed in the movie.
Its not like tanjiro would bump into lower or upper moons that easily pillars are always asign for harder demons so.
Well if Giyuu didnt arrive on time to save tanjiro then it would be a draw to each other as-

Muzan wouldn't live in perfection and would die after 1 thousand years later while Demon slayer corps wouldn't be able to kill muzan as he has giga regen lol
Rui was the Lower Moon that Muzan had the most interest in, and Tanjiro hadn't learned Concentration Breathing Constant at that point. And as we see in the movie, even after being juiced up by Muzan's blood, Tanjiro and Inosuke still manage to kill the strongest Lower Moon.
Look at it from Muzan’s perspective. He’s been alive for thousand of years.
And In all the years he’s been alive the lower moons keep dying but the upper moons still remain. Why wouldn’t he kill them?
Besides no one of noteworthy power in the story is going to be killed by a lower moon

This is one of those anime that make you glad you are alive today in the same time as this series. We live and so do the creators of the manga/anime. Someday this will be a classic and its original creators and fans dead. Maybe onto another journey. But still, we are all here today experiencing this fresh. We are waiting for more.
The train arc is relatively short but it's a turning point in the series, it's when things start to get serious.

Thanks! Demon Slayer is dangerous to leave up on TH-cam since Sony hits with direct copyright strikes. With that being said we left up the most popular episodes. We actually lost the channel for two months over the summer due to copyright strikes so we are trying to avoid that happening again. Hope you understand!

I think the important part of the coin scene was Tanjiro saying he would have just kept on flipping it until he got the result he wanted.
It both acknowledges Kanao's use of the coin, but it is also shows the user has their own desires, which Kanao denies she has.
Thats actually a psychological thing. Whenever you flip the coin, your inner desires show because your subconscious mind already hopes for a certain result.
