Just remember that those belt keepers on the idler pulleys has notches in the arms that belt guides supposed to seat in

Been offered a lawnflite MTD LLG165 H, was warned belts are horrendous to replace and costly. Looking at your vid I can see why. Have a husqvarna which are awful machines but belts easy to replace. You've made up my mind stay away from above model

Would Pulley Cover 783-06424 A -0637 fit. Part of the Cover where you screw the bolt is broken and I assume that is causing the belt to always slip out.

(I'm an MTD Products Dealer) With out the model number from under the seat i can't tell you if that part would work, feel free to reply with your model and i'll look it up for you. With out the cover's the belt won't stay on as the cover acts as a belt keeper and pinches the belt onto the pulley.

Do I have to take the deck off?

  • @flamer38544

So dropped the deck, took all of as should, replaced belt and now the blades will not engage

Update, I had the belt not properly connected and I also had the spindle tightened down way too tight.
