- Polygamist Mormon apostle Orson Whitney published Elias: An Epic of the Ages in 1904. This vintage radio program (?) has a reading of one of my favorite sections. Often the early polygamists get a bad rap-rightly so, for many things. But when I hear Canto Three of his poem, I can’t help but think that Whitney sincerely believed in Jesus. You can read and download the entire poem below.

Believed in Jesus Christ but treated God's daughters like cattle. Hmmm I'm impressed.
They should have known better. Sadly, I’d bet that some of them did know better.
@@IBelieveJoseph some? seriously?
The picture of Christ on the cover makes it less shareable for me personally. Not meant as an insult, but thought I’d let you know.
Thank you for the feedback! I wasn’t certain about that image myself. Tomorrow I will see if I can change it.
It worked! Thanks again for telling me.
@@IBelieveJoseph thank you! This one is great!
Awe....Perfect message for the Easter season 👌😇😇😇
Not sure if that's the direction you were going but that's where it landed😅.
As far as whether they believed in Jesus or not... I would say definitely NOT the leaders. I believe they thought they were God themselves.
I was aiming for Easter! I also thought the “radio” show would be a fun short one before I finish the next “Myths” video.
We very much enjoyed it👌
Believing in Jesus AND believing they were God themselves were not exclusive if they were polytheist, which they were.
