Flying Qatar Airways Private Jet - Qatar Executive G650ER to 50,000 Ft

- After viewing the new experimental Gulfstream G700, I was invited to a flight onboard the Qatar Executive Gulfstream G650ER. Qatar Executive is the private jet division of Qatar Airways.
There were a few unexpected surprises in store, outside of the usual splendid luxury onboard a private jet. The G650ER cabin was extremely quiet, much quieter than any commercial airliner. The pilot also flew the jet to draw the letter "QE" in the sky over Doha at 15,000 ft.
After a buffet lunch, the G650ER climbed to 50,000 ft which is a higher cruising altitude than all other commercial airliners. It was definitely a personal high for me! (my actual highest altitude was going supersonic on Concorde at 58,000 ft)
The Gulfstream G650ER flight not only showed the luxury and privacy of business aviation but also the aircraft's performance. The G650ER was able to fly faster, higher and quieter.
She said...."the truth is that it was a really great experience to have shared with the whole staff of Qatar, in particular the atmosphere was incredible, the food was delicious, the comfort of the seats, the luxury that one sees and the beauty of the interior design of the plane. Its marvellous..Really!"

When you know the price of the microwave, you can say WOW! It seems normal, but it must be certified, and then it becomes very expansive.

The Cuban lady demonstrated the unfolding table only because she wanted to avoid being touched.
I wouldn’t be surprised because Sam was too close for comfort! And then she eventually moved away...some people are mindful of their personal space, especially when around people they’re unfamiliar with. Good on her!

Thank you for this Sam. This is a Great move by Qatar Airways. The cost of owning a Private jet can get out of control.
It definitely makes more sense to fly Private only when needed to and spend on Private flights only when needed too. It's a great move. Not to have to worry about maintenance costs, and simply pay and fly. I love that!

What a stunning aircraft. I know that they often tend to look similar but I have to say that of all the executive aircraft companies, I personally think there's something that puts Gulfstream planes slightly above the others. That being said, I wouldn't say no to even a turboprop VIP plane.....

What a beautiful video, the only thing sad were those A380s parked (seen during landing)...can't wait for Covid to become a thing of the past so I can travel to Doha!
A380 production had already been discontinued maybe a year before covid so it was doomed anyways
(Airlines keeping their A380s if they alerady own some but not replacing them at the end of their life)

I was in Doha for an extended amoutn of time. It is very nice there. THe working class is pretty downtrodden and ill-treated, but overall the country was enjoyable. Many luxurious resorts and $30 drinks. haha. This was a fun video.
