come to islam, and stop being utilitarian liberals or whatever the moral system or ideology you have. Islam is the only metaphysical and moral system that doesn't generate contradictions. Learn more through sheikh like othman ibn faroq or mohammed hijab or free books (Divine reality and the mirage of atheism, the Burhan, etc) ... and hopefully you guys will understand that this life is made temporary and ment to follow our desires, but to worship the necessary existence, self-sufficient, etc, who created us (through evolution or whatever the theory). There is only one god (Allah). He is not a contingent existence. He is unique and has no partners. He descended revelations to prophets such as Moses, Abraham, Jesus, and finally Mohammed peace be upon them all. Islam structures your life so your din, intellect, family and property is protected. It makes sense and its a way of life that will make you happier as a consequence. Paradise is for ever, this life is temporary, don't be blind. Its just a reminder for those who reflect.
@@MrHouloul Where the hell did that come from lol? Do you even realise there a many religions on this planet who all think the exact same thing about their teachings, their system and their god? I heard this kind of thing a million times from different religious organisations. At the end of the day be glad you believe your own bullshit about allah and your religion, because no one else does. I can also suggest to stop crying in comments about things no one wants to hear, if you hate the freedom and the lifestyle of the West/Europeans then stop going websites we have created, stop indulging in our culture and our creations, stop going where you know you will be offended. @@vitaliyivanov7768 What makes your religion so special or different? thats a good question. Islam is the only logical metaphysical system. It respects the fundamental principles of logic. God has to be omniscient, self-sufficient, and be independant. Catholics and protestants believe god is jesus, which is a big contradiction, so the principle of identity is not respected, done. You cant have someone who don't now be omniscient. a human has a biginning and an end. Jesus prostrated to god. he cant be god, his nature is limited. You cant be unlimitted and limitted at the same time unless you're schizophrenic. Judaism in the story of the oven of akhnai, rabis debated god and god has apologised for his mistake... So their god is Not omniscient, another contradiction... Hindus are polytheists, so how can you have a gods that are limited and not limited at the same time, same contradiction with chriastianism... How can you worship a cow or animals or whatver contingent existence it is. Atheist are materialist, so they believe matter is god, but matter does not have will to create and its not independant, its a contengent existence, so contradictory to the definition of god. if we all had access to Hollywood lighting, special effects, movie editing software and make up artists who can shade and tone average abs into sculpted gods, We sure could look like that in no time.
Used to live in NYC, and while working in BBC Productions in BBC Worldwide, a friend of mine went to Marvel Studios just as Marvel were really ramping it up. She said three things - 1) some actors use steriods, 2) a lot of the action shots include best lighting angles and 3) if that didn't work, in post production they would work on some aspects of the actors body if they could make it work (like highlighting/shadows/ etc). Now I saw Northman, and I remember Alex from HBO Generation Kill - the guy was always in good shape and his body is not too crazy for someone who is in good shape, trained hard and looked after himself. Some of the Hollywood folks are definitely juicing
Most are juicing. He was probably juicing. It’s kinda necessary for extreme transformations in short time frames, so it’s not a criticism, just part of the process.

@berzerkr blitz Absolutely. I know from person experience, I’ve done it natural and I’ve done it juiced to the gills, and the difference isn’t as huge as a lot of people seem to believe. It’s a big improvement for sure, but there’s a sentiment nowadays that EVERYONE who’s lean with some muscle is juicing. The only reason I’d assume this guy did was because of the time frame required for a part in a movie.
@@gregoryking4796 Exactly. Whatever this video says, it's a half truth at best. They probably had little time between Skaarsgard's prior production and this to get the body. It's the same all over Hollywood. It ain't five meals and kettle bells or regular gym training.

I have the exact same height and build as Alex Skarsgard, I always felt my ribcage was tiny, but seeing him being appreciated for his physique makes me feel much better about my own. Us ectos need our rest days.
I noticed in the film that Alexanders posture was terrible, basically his head was always jutting forward and hunched. Was this done intentionally to mimic a wolf or animal of sorts? Was his posture like this was because he was flexing his shoulder muscles during filming?
If you read any sagas a lot of them talk about dudes walking with their head low like that when they're angry I think it was meant as a call back to that

I never click on vids that pop into my feed. But this movie comes out here (in New Zealand) may 19th and I'm VERY much looking forward to it! Excellent work and great video. Thanks for including all the photos and random clips :)
I have only two criticisms of the film: 1. The draugr fight shouldn't have been played off as fake, since none of the other mystical elements were in such a blatant way. 2. Although we don't know much about Slavic religions, we know enough to have made Olga's character more authentic (e.g. invoking Morana, Veles, Stribog etc instead of "the earth" or "the north wind"). Other than that it was really great.
Wow just so the trailer for this. Love Robert Eggers and this cast is amazing so will defnitely see it in the cinema soon. Amazing you train all these top actors. He looks insane in the movie clips. Must be a dedicated guy whos commmited to the role and physical transformation. I was wondering does he take any PEDs. I know every at the moment in Holiday is getting called out for not mentioning that they often take PEDs prior to this sort of muscular transformation. What do people think?
He def takes PED. As a bodybuilder myself I can safely say that if you wanted this physique you would need to work atleast 8-10 years, but this guy and every other Hollywood actor can do these kind of physiques in a year… Still alot of work done, But it is not those exercises or the 5 meals a day which made this. I would even say that some people with bad genetics would not be able to become that big in their lifetime.
Why can't celebrities admit they use ped and other supplements nobody will shame them at all about it. But not telling people they are taking those things will put pressure on a average person who has no knowledge of them that they are not working out hard enough or anything.
To anyone wondering if the Northman is worth going to see...it is! One of the most original movies in years. Definitely Alex's best performance yet.

I like that you have also included the rest times for the exercises. Really simple, concise and to the point. Thanks Magnus.
come to islam, and stop being utilitarian liberals or whatever the moral system or ideology you have.
Every or atleast most different religion thinks they are correct and other ways to live your life is wrong. What makes your religion so special or different? I heard this kind of thing a million times from different religious organisations. At the end of the day be glad you believe your own bullshit about allah and your religion, because no one else does. I can also suggest to stop crying in comments about things no one wants to hear, if you hate the freedom and the lifestyle of the
West/Europeans then stop going websites we have created, stop indulging in our culture and our creations, stop going where you know you will be offended. Or better realise your religion doesn't mean anything and live life on your own terms. Either way, get lost.
Only islam is clear about its monotheistic belief. And only belief that respects the fundamental principles of logic. So, NO, not every religion are the same, islam is above all religions.
Super pumped to see alex skarsgard in this movie, him and his brother's are some of my favorite actors currently.
cool!
I really love the workout routines this guy gives and I can’t wait to implement them. However, to all the average physique guys out there that might be gullible and stumble upon this video. You’re not gonna look like that in weeks, or even months. Keep at it and maybe you will in years. Even if you don’t you will be healthier and look like a beast in your own right.
To all those average physique guys, you already look like a beast! Working out is a tribute to what your body can do
You ever heard of noob gains? If u have good genetics you will definitely look good in a few months. You are clueless af
sipping on the kool aid
if we all had access to Hollywood lighting, special effects, movie editing software and make up artists who can shade and tone average abs into sculpted gods, We sure could look like that in no time.
You wanna look like that, it's gonna take more than good food, good sleep, and a good program
He looked SPECTACULAR. Truly one of his c r a z i e s t most riveting roles. So damn captivating. ⚡
@@jizzlemack9927 But... you then have the coaches and the actors promoting themselves talking about random exercise routines and silly diets. That, i believe, deserves criticism. Because it is a lie.
You’re definitely right- but let’s not forget that stuff isn’t some miracle drug that’ll turn a lazy slob into a stud, it’ll just make the results from the work come faster.
No shit xD
the footage of this movie is so epic!
Can you give a detailed schedule, doses, what was on /off , what on discontinuation etc?
This is the real workout they won't admit
@@gregoryking4796 Exactly. Whatever this video says, it's a half truth at best. They probably had little time between Skaarsgard's prior production and this to get the body. It's the same all over Hollywood. It ain't five meals and kettle bells or regular gym training.
@@thevideorium2665 right and the ENTIRE purpose of this video is to get the trainer more clientele
You did a great job with Alexander. The guy looks like an absolute BEAST
yes he does!
I found Magnus when looking up Alex's program for Tarzan and never looked back, I wish I could train with him for a month
Damn, if I win the lottery, I'm getting a personal trainer.
Nice video man. I wish I could do all these exercises, but I am still really fat and unflexible. Have been trying so hard recently though. Going to gym every day, and I got great meal plan from Next Level Diet. I hope I will slim down fast so I can start with calisthenics. I believe in myself, that's the most important thing IMO.
weight loss is predominantly about diet.
keep going man you got this
Good luck man dont complicate it and find yourself some good shows or games to play when you crave food.
You got this brother! Keep at it. You are on the path :)
Just wanna give you support man! Keep exercising and keep up with your healthier diet. If you ever falter in your faith come back to these comments and know that complete strangers are happy to see you succeed!
Also try some yoga (like Alex in the video!). Not only does it help with your inflexibility, it can be pretty intense depending on the regiment you take. Good luck!!!
Both of you did an excellent job
Wait wait wait let me guess... Chicken, broccoli and rice 5 times a day and working out 2 hours per day 7 days per week?
Either that or tuna and ramen, brah.
Jealous jabronis up in here
2 hours a day isn’t remotely close to enough to achieve half that transformation
@@MeowingWhale Lol what the amount of time you train doesn't really determine what your results are gonna be. You're gonna make more progress training 1 hour a day than 2...
Yeah! And he gained 30 lbs of lean muscle in six weeks! Completely realistic!
That's a good program, lots of complex dynamic movements and the results are incredible.
the results are crazy!!

Thanks for participating in The Northman
It's a fantastic movie
You did a great job! And Alex is such a hardworking person, I admire his determination! Thank you for sharing his training. Can't wait to watch The Northman, the premiere is on April 29 in my country.
You're in for a treat. The movie is fantastic in every way.
was already hyped for this movie but it is only now i realize that the Northman is played by the one and only Eric Northman. too perfect
haha yes!
a lot of celebrity trainers do super weird exercises that really don't add any training value so I'm glad that you stick with what works!!
Also Skarsgard looks great!! Super intimidating
Where are the compound movements??? This video has 1 exercise that’s decent for putting on some muscle.
@@lahorimunda18 compound movements are great i agree
Just saw the movie. Extremely bad ass! Dude is ripped
It's so nice to get actual content, instead of just random workout clips (without any explanation) like in many other "Train like Xxx" videos. Thank you for that.
You did a great job & are a beast yourself! Will def check out more from your program.
yes he explained it very good
dude good job man, amazing movie dude looked like a beast!!
Man you trained him to be a bare wolf! Awesome job bro! I loved this movie so much, Alexander has to win awards for this very believable Viking persona!
he did a great job training him
Great Job Magnus 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Magmus, I played (multiple) sports most of my life (HS varsity and college, etc ...), Powerlift (until life got screwed up the last few yrs, had 40inch quads, etc... and training to break a bench press record (max bench was 425lbs, before the aforementioned)) and more. So of course I realize not everyone powerlifts (or honestly is "cut out" for it). With that said, I didn't like your lifting suggestions, they're two light and not enough sets and you didn't mention "negatives" which greatly enhance size and more importantly Strength. Though for the "average person" and "newbie", it was ok and appropriate to start out with. And, I do highly appreciate the need for agility training and the abilities of agility & range of motion - these techniques you showed I did like and suggest others to listen to you on them. And Remember y'all, Form IS Everything! If you want to gain max results, size, strength, agility and Avoid Injuries - Form is Everything!! ... If its too heavy for you to workout with (including "maxing out") while keeping good form; then do Not Force it - work up to it!!
What are "negatives"?
Him scaling up the wall with the axe looked so insane, dude was shredded
So proud!! 🤩
Thank you!!
Love these videos very helpful 👍🏽
Great film Eggers did an amazing job.
Alex plays the best Vikings 👍Awesome job on getting him ready!
yeah :)
Just saw the “The Northman” for opening night and Alex’s physique was TOP NOTCH! Will easily steal awards in 2022 but the preparation you gave him months before that you’ve been keeping everyone informed about easily showed. Was super impressed before the film was released but on screen was a totally different monster! Great work, look forward to more of your clients absolutely crushing on screen 👏🏼🎥🍿
“Easily steal awards” what movie did you see? It was all over the place and paced terribly
@@cosborne06 You clearly don't watch arthouse movies, or maybe you just don't enjoy them. This movie was amazing and will 100% win a few Oscars. His last movie won a very competitive Oscar despite it being much much less of a mainstream movie than this was, and this one is likely to win more.
@@ainmon5875 to be fair Oscars don't mean a damn thing anymore. If you like the movie great, but there are still objective flaws
@@cosborne06 pleb
@@cetus835 I'd like to hear about these objective flaws. The only issue I had with the movie was a single scene where I struggled to understand a few of the words.
Alex's traps in that movie deserve their own Oscar nomination
I was curious about his training after seeing the trailer
One of the most accurate depiction of Vikings ever in the video
Damn!!!! His shoulders look freaking monstrous!!!! I've been complimented on my shoulders but damn!!!! Dude is definitely ripped in this movie!!
YES! YES! YES!!! And some people say being an actor is easy money! pfft...this is astounding!
Honestly Alexander Traps were the best I've ever seen in my life.
Really efficient work outs and he explains each exercise extremely well and in layman’s terms for anyone to understand it
Gosh, I've been wasting my time with heavy compound lifts for years. Instead, I should have done light weights in medium rep ranges for six weeks! No wonder I've seen so little progress putting on weight.
He is on the sauce, bro.
What would be medium reps ?
@@BruceWayne-de4gm around 10-12 reps is medium I suppose. Below 5 would be low. Above 15 would be high.
Just to be sure, my comment was all sarcasm : ) This guys' advise goes against everything I've seen for building lean muscle.
@@Dawarlord34 tomato, mustard?
Genuine question. Why is this exercise selection preferable to standard bodybuilding and then add all this rotator/hip stuff at the end? Why not just focus completely on muscle building first and then focus completely on the rotators and hips?
Massive transformation. Congrats
I love that you acknowledged him as a hybrid. i would kill to transform into that!
@Magnus Method love these videos of behind the scenes fitness training for movies.
I love you…simple… you are the miracle on sets on most movies… respect ✊
Well done Magnus!
This is sort of my dream job as a personal trainer... Someday...
hope you reach your dream job!
This movie is awesome and Alex looked and performed amazingly
You forgot to mention the secret sauce you added to the chicken and broccoli…
Im getting older and need to get in shape after 2 years lockdown, i will try this
Meekus has come a long way from that freak gasoline fight accident.
I have the exact same height and build as Alex Skarsgard, I always felt my ribcage was tiny, but seeing him being appreciated for his physique makes me feel much better about my own. Us ectos need our rest days.
Alex is such a legend!
Excellent; Positive; Comprehensive; Focused; Genuine;
I noticed in the film that Alexanders posture was terrible, basically his head was always jutting forward and hunched. Was this done intentionally to mimic a wolf or animal of sorts? Was his posture like this was because he was flexing his shoulder muscles during filming?
If you read any sagas a lot of them talk about dudes walking with their head low like that when they're angry I think it was meant as a call back to that
@@peteschaub7561 I’m starting to think that was the case, that posture with the arms bowed out is an aggressive stance.
POWERFUL COACHING/TRAINING!
About to hit it up rn...
Both you& Mr. Skarsgard did a fantastic job! This was extremely impressive and just reveals the amount of dedication and perseverance actors must have in order to prepare for a film and also the amazing trainers that help achieve what is required.
You did such an amazing job! Mr. Skargard did a phenomenal job becoming his character; I believed I was watching a season in this characters life.
I never click on vids that pop into my feed. But this movie comes out here (in New Zealand) may 19th and I'm VERY much looking forward to it! Excellent work and great video. Thanks for including all the photos and random clips :)
I have only two criticisms of the film:
Seeing the actual routines makes it obvious that actors truly would be fucked without access to pharmaceuticals
I would even say that some people with bad genetics would not be able to become that big in their lifetime.
kul att se hur du lägger fokus på vad han faktiskt ska göra under inspelning.
his traps in this film are unreal
what kind of test did y'all use?
Why can't celebrities admit they use ped and other supplements nobody will shame them at all about it. But not telling people they are taking those things will put pressure on a average person who has no knowledge of them that they are not working out hard enough or anything.
Maybe because most of them don’t!?
Amazing!😍 I’m gonna go see a movie with my friends in a few days!!!!
"He likes to eat food." same bro. I eat food almost everyday tbh.
I would LOVE more videos detailing diet/training for Alex!
Appreciate the workout. I will do it at least once every week!
