Okay, so I used to play this as a kid, and loved it, but never learned/saw these finishing moves, but always wondered how they looked. Man... First of all, THANK YOU for putting my wonder to rest. Secondly, aside from Orchid's titty-flash and Fulgore's shoulder cannons, these shits SUCK, oh, my god. I was right in thinking Mortal Kombat really had this shit locked back in the day.
It reminds me of those Mortal Kombat fatality compilation videos where they would use either reptile, D’vorah or spawn since they have different colored blood because of tubes demonetization policy.

The gore is something secondary, not the main draw, therefore the Ultimates feel lackluster, because the best option will always be finishing the opponent with an Ultra Combo. You're only able to do an Ultimate if you don't do an Ultra Combo, after all.
Naw, snes was beastly, has incredible potential limited mostly by cartridge size. Genesis can also do a lot with larger storage capacity, except for the limited color palette
Guys! Are there are any fatalities in modern Killer Instinct remake on PC made in 2017? I saw none of them. Those fatalities in old game looks uninspired in comparison to Mortal Kombat.
