    Got the Spartan Blades Enyo today , and it it awesome. It may be priced high , but the quiality is definitely there , and once you feel there blades in hand and see there quiality first hand you understand that these are a different breed of knife.

    Having both, the Izula and the Enyo I can tell that they differ a whole lot. The Izula has a thinner grind thus being a better cutter. The Enyo is a tank. Sturdy, unbreakable and it will not rust. It is harder to resharpen tho. The Izula is the better EDC knife for food processing and every day cutting tasks, while the Enyo on the other hand is rather meant for soldiers. You just never need to worry about it.
    I love both of them for different reasons!
    P.S.: I also have to praise Spartan Blades for their awesome warranty and customer service. You cannot go wrong with them!

    Why is everyone complaining about the price? Spartan makes some of the best knives out there, but that price comes from the great customer service, and you get a lifetime warranty. Stop complaining.

    Wow this is an awesome little knife. I love small edc's I just picked up an esee izula and LOVE it. Use it everyday. How would you compare this to the izula? Btw this guy seems great. Very customer orientated. Wouldn't mind buying a knife from him.

      Curtis is the real deal... Ex Special Forces... a man you can trust! I would say that the ergonomics of the ENO AND the steel used is far superior to the 440C in the ESSE Izula. However, the ESSE Isula in form is more of a backup bushcraft utility blade... the ENYO is form is a good self defense knife first and a utility knife second. Hope this helps. ~David

      UltimateSurvivalTips Makes perfect sense, WOW thanks for taking the time to reply. im going to have to look further into this blade. I LOVE my izula and use it daily but seems to dull out semi quickly. I like the thickness of the blade but this might suit me better. would be nice if they sold scales for it so it wasn't just a skeleton handle. thanks again. love the vids man

      nyinfamous2k2 Esee Izula is a good knife, the steel is 1095 carbon (will rust or stain) with a good heat treat. It's a general purpose blade. Note the price difference $45 from newgraham.com while the Enyo is pretty pricey. Btw I live in Australia and an Izula here is going to cost me about $70 for it with shipping (to get in Aus, its over $100) and ESEE have the best warrenty in the business. Not like you need it if you're smart with your blades, but its good to have the reassurance.

    Looks like a good knife. I've got a couple hundred knives and out of those I've got several good ones. I'd like one of yours, but I'm not inclined to purchase a knife that while its considered a survival knife, it doesn't have a handle which would add to the workmanship,cost and value of it. It also has a 2 and a little more inches of working blade. At $150.00, unless this is a handmade blade I think we've gotten a little over the top with knife prices. But that's probably just me. There are plenty of people that can and are willing to pay ridiculous prices for knives just because someone throws out a few numbers to describe the metal it's made of. I would save up and buy two of these if you could show me things it could do under most normal situations that most other 2 &1/2 inch blades couldn't do. I can sharpen a knife and get complaints from folks that their knives are too sharp for what they want. So while I agree this is a good looking little knife and probably pretty tough. It's to over priced for what's being offered.

    • @malthus101
      @malthus101 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Gunny Sharp I think you're right - I like this knife, but at $150 in the Sates (God knows how much in the UK) it's basically... too expensive! Prices like that make you think of it as some treasured heirloom, not a functional survival/emergency back up knife. It's just too fancy.
      Sexy, yes, Viable? Not really. Will go with an Eskabar, a plain Izula or a CRKT maybe.

    • @gunhead7159

    • @I_Might_B_Wrong
      @I_Might_B_Wrong 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For an EDC knife MADE IN THE USA OUT OF S35VN it is not ridiculously priced at all. What are you comparing to? Because the knives it's competing with are CRK's Professional Soldier, Strider's DB, etc... And it's a LOT better priced than those blades. Keep things in perspective - If you compare this to just about any other USA made neck knife in a high quality powder steel it's going to beat it for the money. If you compare it to a Chinese mass-produced neck knife like the CRKT Minimalist then obviously the price is going to seem absurd, but the cost that goes into making the knife with better materials that take more time to machine by people who actually make enough money to live comfortably is going to push the price up. Period.

    • @I_Might_B_Wrong
      @I_Might_B_Wrong 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** BS. For somebody with the handle "Team Spyderco" you're ignoring the fact that they themselves sold their Mule Team S35VN for $130 bucks and it's quite similar in size and function and doesn't actually have a sheath like the Enyo does. If you just aren't a neck knife type of user then I would agree with you, why buy a knife for $150 that you won't actually use? But if you are somebody that greatly prefers fixed blades and likes this design, the materials, and knowing that it's a USA made product? Then it's a no-brainer. The Enyo is actually very fairly priced for what it is.

      I'd rather pay extra to know my knife isn't gonna snap if I try to pry something with it or have the tip break off stabbing like it would with all the Chinese knock offs flooding the market these days. If you have a job where your life could depend on it functioning properly then you might want to consider a quality tool.

    It's cool, but I'd prefer a better steel. M390 or k390.

    • @danmartin4552
      @danmartin4552 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would not want k390 or even M390 for this kind of knife. Sure they have great edge holding, but one of the advantages of a neck knife over a folder, is the strength a reliability. Both of those are two easy to chip, I would not want to open a can, or pry with those. Maybe s90v.
      s35v is a good steel choice, it has edge retention that is comparable with somewhere in between VG-10 and s30v, yet it is more than strong enough to do most tasks. It is about the best stainless I can think of for this knife.
      Of course if you were to coat the blade... I would prefer CPM 3v, srs101, or maybe even A2 with a unconventional heat treat like Blackheart Knives does. I think all around CPM 3v with a coating would be the best, but that would add to the price.

    • @I_Might_B_Wrong
      @I_Might_B_Wrong 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's nowhere near too much money if you ask me. You get what you pay for. If you like high quality powder steels that hold an edge and won't rust out on you and supporting US labor then spending a bit more on a knife that you'll really use and love will pay off big in the long haul. I'll spend 150 on a knife like this over 20 on a CRKT Minimalist made in China with cheap, soft 8Cr13MoV any day of the week.

    • @bendari
      @bendari 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** Who cares? NOBODY!

    • @I_Might_B_Wrong
      @I_Might_B_Wrong 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      bendari A lot of people, actually... In fact I'd say anybody on blade forums, knife forums, USN, or any other related forum would care about the difference in materials.

    • @bendari
      @bendari 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** Then I guess you don't care that China makes very good knives and very good value as well. Spyderco Domino is $167 on Amazon but the high quality $17 Chinese clone that looks identical to the Spyderco Domino knife. So price wise the difference is $150. There is no way the real domino is worth $150 more than the clone Period. I've collected knives since the 1980's so I know way more about knives then you do. Since you keep abreast of knives then you know China sells millions of these great knives. If the quality was not good then people would not buy them by the millions. So by volume there are more people on the planet buying Chinese knives which makes the tiny amount of people you refer to as unimportant.

    • @I_Might_B_Wrong
      @I_Might_B_Wrong 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      bendari That was one seriously stupid little diatribe you went on there. All you've managed to do is write up a wall of playground level insults, silly assumptions that don't hold true, and toss in one example of a quality product made in China that happens to be popular which is yet ANOTHER example of resorting to bandwagon to support your stance. Your posts are laughable and the fact that you think it's your place to call ANYONE an idiot is absurd because you can barely string together a coherent post. You're like a joke that isn't funny. The more insults you throw the sadder it is to watch you even try to make your point.

      Just because you don't understand where the price is coming from doesn't mean it's over priced. Given that it's made in the USA with S35VN steel, it's competing with the CRK Professional Soldier, Strider DB, and many other high end American fixed blades that cost MUCH more. In fact, I have yet to find a knife with near the same specs that didn't cost more. I'd say that's a VERY fair price when the competition is asking 200 bucks or more while these guys ask for 150.

    Meh, bit too large, blade shape looks too "military" for an EDC which might make the stupid-ass cops in Quebec piss all over my face, and it's over 9000 on the scale of over-priced-ness. But hey, it was made for the military, so I guess all of this really makes it a good knife for what it's designed for. I doubt S35VN is better than S30V though.
