Bought them in the summer of 23, hardly used them. Not a shoe that stands out, easy to forget. But, your video made me try a fast 5K in them today, and by jove they are great. Fastest time I've run in a while. And they are comfy and bouncy enough for a heavy guy like me. Thanks for this reminder!!

I just bought a pair this week. Did 24km in just over 2 hours today, straight out of the box. Felt really great. I'm doing a 12 hour road event in The Netherlands in March and this might just be the shoe (or my triumph 20's). My previous Bostons were the 9 (800+ km's). The difference between the two really shows how shoes have evolved over the last couple of years.

I bought a pair of Boston 12's a few months back. Got about a 100 miles in them now and love running in them. Feel light on foot and energy wise give nack more or less everything you put into them. I feel like I want to pick up the pace everytime I run in them. The only thing I'd change are the laces and maybe for them to feel are bit more snug around the heel and ankles once I've laced up (but I don't eally notice that anymore once I've started running). Great shoe. Great value.

I bought it on september 2023 to run 10km marathon in it and it was great for those couple of trainings and the marathon itself.
Then I hanged them till today and went running in them again and remembered how great they are and I can't wait to go run in them again. I'm not much into running, much more of a gym person, but I think I will get into it thanks to this shoe.

I think it’s gotta be my next shoe. I’m not plush with cash, so I’m all about all round shoes. If I can do long runs, speed work, marathons in one shoe, then I’m happy. As long as it’s stable enough, then I’m game.

I started running few weeks ago.
My biggest problem with almost any shoe is the width.
Adidas Boston 12 fits my feet very well and i even could insert custom insoles for my overpronation. They are even wider than Altra paradigm 6s in the midfood section.
A traditional lacing system would be better choice from Adidas. Initially i had some problems because of my high instep using the runner's knot. It alway needs a bit of fine tuning.
    The midsole setup is genius.
Continental outsole is on another level.
Overall it's a great pair of shoes.
I've got mine for 100€ and they are worth every cent.

@@EDDBUD the speed 2 was my fave ever. Had 2 pairs. But the 3 gave me crazy blisters on my toes on 2 long runs. Different socks! So I just use them for shorted stuff now. Using velocity nitro 2 for long runs but I think the boston could be perfect for sharing the load especially with marathon effort thrown in. 😄

I just bought these and am absolutely delighted with them. They feel light and super cushioned, and the energy rods really give a noticeable pop. Have to be careful with how I lace them up, but that's a feature of all Adidas shoes for me. Good deal £125 from The Running outlet and then another 10% first order so around £105 delivered.....for a shoe with a lot of tech, its a steal.

100% agree with your review. Love the Boston 12 for easy runs and long runs. Good outsole, but especially the midsole is fantastic. Bouncy and responsive. Not too soft, yet very comfortable. Together with the Takumi Sen 9 for speedwork and Deviate Nitro Elite 2 for racing, my rotation is complete. Either the Boston 12 or the Deviate Nitro Elite 2 would be an excellent do-it-all shoe as well.

Once mine got broken in around 30K they are like a different shoe than out of the box, so comfortable. They are the best shoe I have ever owned for running down hills with speed. Not my go to for top speed in a race or tempo training but can handle anything else. Somehow I have adapted to the horrible laces, too long, too slippery, hard to get flat and a good lockdown, but that would be the only thing I hope they change in the 13.

I also bought my 11's for $50. I "fixed" them by cutting out the little token flat piece of carbon sheet under the heel (directly under the strobel plate, cut through fabric, remove, put insole back in). It makes the 11 SO much more pleasant to run in, because nothing is between you and the LightstrikePro foam.

I was lucky enough to be able to grab a couple of pairs of the wide version of the Boston 12 from Wiggle. There aren't many wide fitting shoes like this, other than the Deviate Nitro 2. It's slim pickings for us wider footed folk when it comes to anything more exciting than miserable RunFalcons. Anyway, I agree with you on the Boston 12. • @noosphericaltarzan
      @noosphericaltarzan 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@r1gav They seem pretty similar, but truthfully the Boston 12 does not fit nearly as well as the SL2 and caused me soleus injury in both legs (left one still slightly sore but not really an issue). I actually have to rotate back from the SL2 to my Pegasus 38 now to let them recover. I can't figure it out. The best I can guess is that the carbon plate does it. I am basically a "recreational middle distance runner who also trains Olympic weightlifting". When running around tempo and threshold paces, I am forefoot to midfoot striking. I think that plate sends shock waves directly into my soleus muscles, but am not sure. My left leg is my dominant leg and the one with the greatest impulse. Anyway.. Boston 12 does not fit nearly as well as SL2 in my opinion, but they really are very different shoes.

I really enjoyed them (and still do) and I agree with most of what you say, but I do have a negative experience to share. They are an absolute bliss to run in for 32k but beyond that point I do start to experience a really painful lace bite; that tongue is not made for marathoning.
Of course I had never gone long enough during my training, and I experienced it for the first time during my marathon race itself, which was a real and unexpected bummer. It didn't keep me from finishing the race, and it didn't significantly affect my running (at that point everything is starting to hurt, anyways), but, boy, was I glad to finish and get these shoes off of my feet!

It's 'ok' but I'm not sure what it's for - the Pro 2/3 (Saucony's Endorphin as well), are great for the tempo long runs and I much prefer the Puma Velocity Nitro (there are loads of great slow runners from everyone) for slow long runs.
