I started a month ago with zero equipment. I invested $115 bucks on post cards i designed from VistaPrint.com. Handed out all 1,000 on foot and riving past high grass lawns. I got my first job offer $225 cut grass and customers backyard was a jungle needed major shrub trimming. Then i bought equipment $400 used. Got 5 customers so far. Not a lot but it's only been a month.

"If I fail... Its on me" Thats what made me take the step as well. I got tired of big bosses in big companies who dont know me making bad decisions and causing me to fail. Thats a powerful motivator.

Good video and you did it right brother. That's how I did it pretty much. Blows my mind the amount of people I see rush right out to spend all this money on equipment with the "hopes" the work will come in....

Thanks for the video. I love the motivation. Got my ole 98 f150, new 6*12 trailer. Got that same husky handheld blower, sthil weedeater, chain saw, but, only have push mower. That will change soon about a mower. You hit the nail on the head in your speech at the beginning about the jobs. I hate making someone else money. Been a heavy mechanic for a good bit. Made some ok moneys, but, worked soooo hard for it. I'm ready for this endeavor.

I got very, very lucky I only had a few landscape jobs in my life... I said I'm done with this than I started mine the first time with my father and my sisters fiancée (now husband). In 2002 - 2007 than I was not sure if I really wanted to do it.. when to a school I did not wanna do, THAN I got another damn landscape job. Lol. And stayed there a few yrs than realizing I can't stay away from this lol. Than RESTARTED my company again in 2016 of August. And here I am now.. I have a feeling I won't be doing anything else but running this BAD BOY. I have ATON of experience in both work and business.. HERES TO BOTH OF US IN GOOD CLIENTS AND A GOOD YR!!! Good luck Spencers lawn care.

Good shit man!! I started my lawn care business in 09. I got lucky. The first year I was making more than enough money. 2nd year i bought a new (used) truck, new commercial (gravely) zero turn and an enclosed trailer. Last year bought a house. Getting new customers all the time. I am no longer the cheapest guy in town. My customers get me new business even tho my prices are higher. Working for myself was the best decision i ever made.

Can you make a video about the evolution of your landscaping trucks. How you went from the F-150 to the 1500. And what is the best landscaping truck for lawn care. What about proper trailer hitches and receivers for the 7x12. Can you discuss the different class of receivers such as the popular Class III and proper ball size. Thanks.

Hey appreciate the knowledge you pass on. I'm getting ready to start a little mowing business. I've got about 25.000 but don't want to blow it all on new equipment. I was thinking about getting in a mower for 5 or 6 k and would appreciate any suggestions. I've been considering a hustler raptor 2021 or exmark radius but am open to suggestions. I may even entertain going a step above these what would you suggest. Thank you beforehand for answering this......oh yeah I just plan on getting some residential properties nothing to big all at once....Thanks again.....

i am thinking on getting a push lawn mower and weed eater. and gonna start mowing yards. the reason i want a push mower is well, because i don't have money to put into a riding lawn mower wished i did. i use to mow this old ladys yard and i finished her yard i'd say about an hour or so.

yeah I started out the same way 4 years ago. kinda did it as a little experiment to see if it would work. I just moved up to a commercial mower last year pz 6034 Husqvarna love that mower opened up the world of new opportunities.
three things I noticed that was kind of alarming the first is what you spent on your trailer that is an outrageous price and you got totally ripped off for an example I got a Brand New dual axle 6 by 12 7000 GVW trailer for $2,200 at Lowe's last year during Father's Day I got a new 6 by 8 trailer 2400 GVW for $800 to tow my new mower!
second thing is unless you have another person mowing with you you do not need to tow two mowers I understand if you keep it on for two storage but leave the second one at home if you're not using it save you a ton of money on fuel.
and third and final I noticed your license plate said Ohio you are getting a ton of snow this year might want to kind of break out into the snow and Ice management business. it is well worth it started out the same way had a snowblower and a shovel 4 years later still have the shovel LOL but I also got a Arctic Cat 400 with a plow then moved up to a 2500 HD Chevy Silverado with a plow and both of those are paid off food for thought

hello, I just watched your video about collection of money from non paying customers. first you send a register mail demanding payment in full, 2. You go to your local justice court (small claims), file a claim usuallv $50 or so to file, keep the teciept for the registered mail including a copy of the letter sent, and the post office will give you documentation they signed for the letter., 3 go to court. in the letter you have to give a reasonable time frame for payment in full 10 days or so. And state if payment isn't made in full, you'll take it to court and the customer will be liable for court cost and attorneys fees.
usually once they are served a summons to court. They pay, because if a judgement is made in court , it'll be on their credit report for 7 years, educating the customer on all of this may motivate them to pay. good luck. But keep all documentation, if you go to court . the expenses will also be added to your claim, hence, the customer has to pay court cost including the $5 mailing fee, if you win in court and they still don't pay, the same court will garnish their pay. If you know who their employer is

I currently push mow 2-yards ones a Acre the other is maybe half a acre.
Got 4-more yard I can cut 1-acre each. Twice a month so thats $600
Thats a starting point, so decided today I would take them on and get into lawn care. I need a riding mower for this. And I only have a 3,000 limit at Lowes. Can't get credit anywhere else. So 3,000 is my budget and its lowes only. I get 10% off so basically no tax.
Am considering the Husqvarna Z254 23-Hp V-Twin Dual Hydrostatic 54-in Zero-Turn Radius Lawn Mower.
But I know nothing about mowers. If there is a better bang for the buck or what I actually need. I would like to move up to cutting 10-acres a week. But don't know if this one handle that. I figure would handle what currently have for sure.
But again I don't know. If could please provide recommendations on current mowers Lowes has, I would really appreciate it. Don't wanna buy the wrong one. Thanks y'all for any help.

Use some glue dots and stick them on trash cans. Everyone has to bring in their trash cans just like they do the mail.
