You have amazing self-control for not buying that, or just running out the door with it! 🏃♂️
I bet he licked it. 😋
I'd love that option for the three inch version.
That pistol is possibly the single most beautiful thing ive ever seen...
Blued Python is one sexy snake.
Cause I’m a wiley little cuss, I’ve acquired both new Blued lengths in hand. The 4.25” does have 3 vents. Some seem to be losing their minds over that. I love the gun. I have a legacy 6” 1979 and the new blued 6”. Side by side. The new finish is so close to the original, it’s amazing. It makes you wonder how Colt does this for only $100 more msrp.
It’s carbon steel and blued, not painted or coated. It will make you say”it’s nice” over and over. It will. Colt did outstanding job keeping it under wraps until SHOT too.
I have the blue python 4.25 - the vents you either care or don’t - the gun will still shoot just fine
They made it 4.5" so they could legally sell them in Canada because you couldn't have a 4" or shorter barrel there. So what happens, Canada turns around and outlaws ALL handguns! 😅
Justin Trudeau needs to be punished for destroying a great country.
it's 4.25" which is four and a QUARTER
Which should never be abided by.
They messed up with the 4.25 inch barrel. Should have made it 4 inch. New guns don't have the swagger of the vintage guns.
Dang it. That’s a special piece right there. Now I have to find one. There goes the budget
I think Wilson would be smart to make case hardened triggers and hammers for this one.
The new colt python is drastically different from the old the top barrel is bigger then the bottom .
I have the four-inch Royal Blued from the late eighties. I used to carry it sometimes. It's too big to carry. I'll wait for the three inch. Thanks for showing it.
Yeah, 6in is cool for the range or hunting maybe, but a mid length is better for carry. I got a 3in for carry a couple years ago and love it.
Man, that is awesome! The Python is truly, back!
Don Blake
Looks great for a Colt Python Peashooter! I am waiting for a blued Anaconda!
They won't ever make a blued anaconda.
They only remade a blued python. Because the old school one was blue.
There was Never a Blued anaconda ever. They are not going to do it. So u will be waiting forever. JUST GO BUY A ANACONDA ALREADY. lol
@@jdawgpimpdaddyc4374 Already have one.
The .357 is no pea shooter, especially not in a 6" barrel or by pistol caliber standards
@@mtthwpnn it's a pea shooter compared to a 44 magnum anaconda.
the biggest caliber u ever shot for a handgun must of been a 357 mag.
Because that most definitely is a pssycat peashooter.
U might want to stay at 357. 44 mag would be to powerful for your little girly wrists
@@mtthwpnn There is always one.
Real nice! We had a python with the 4 1/2 barrel, blue & amazing embellishment engravings all over it. Unfortunately it was stolen 30yrs ago from our business. We never saw it again. I was hoping to inherit that one. Since then Ive been on the hunt for one just like it again. Some has insane prices and some dealers are telling me to be careful because lots arent as good as the old ones from the 70s to 80's. Trying to figure what they mean though.
I thought I wanted the 4.5 inch Python but after seeing this one I want the 6 inch Python now.
Wow! Love to see a case harden one ..
Just got done shooting my new 4.25” blued Python. Used some of my LEAD casted bullets I made up. None of my four new Pythons or King Cobras like CCI 550 primers while shooting double action.
So glad colt came out with the blued Python. That blue finish looks great. Puts modern Smith and Wesson's blued revolvers to shame, and No Hilary Hole.
Blued, 3 inch, non-fluted cylinder please Colt.
Are you fucking joking me I just bought two stainless pythons because colt told me they weren't planning on making the blued
Exactly 😢
Eric told me to keep watching
WHAT? COLT is releasing a new blued PYTHON? YES!!!!!!!!! YYYYESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR A LONG TIME. oh my gosh this news COULD MAKE A GROWN MAN SQUEAL.
the stainless steel simply isnt enough.
Adopt this 6” snake right now, Yankee. You help dogs. Snakes are animals too. This baby needs a real home shelter. God Bless. By the way I had a 6” blued Python made in the 60’s and it was by far the best shooter I’ve had. By very far. Super revolver.
Definitely buying one.
Beautiful!
Beautiful. But I would wait for the 4" myself. I have a 4" Dan Wesson fixed barrel 357 with a beautiful blued finish. That was the first firearm I purchased back in the early 90's. I still use it as my primary daytime home defense gun.
I have a feeling you would be waiting a long time. Those are scarce.
STUFF IS NOT SELLING BECAUSE OF BIDENOMICS THAT'S WHY THEY HAVE TO BRING OUT EVERY THING THAT MIGHT $ELL
The stainless was great, but that blued one looks amazing on screen. I'm going to have to see if I can get a look at one in person, now that I'm officially a wheel gun guy(I own exactly 1 revolver, but don't burst my bubble).
Does not matter how many you own to be a legitimate wheel gun guy.
The 4.25” Blue Python has 3 vents. Why Colt added a third was in my opinion was a mistake and killed it for me. Unless Colt decides to go back to the 2 vents, then I’m going to wait for the other lengths to come out and pick up one of those.
So which one do you want the most, the Python or the Ruger SR 1911 75th anniversary edition with all of that fancy engraving?
That does look nice. I still want the Henry gunfighter grip revolver but they expect money in return.
Did you tell them how soft your hands are now? 🤗
Sweet.
I like it 👍🏼
Gorgeous
Beautiful
I hope they do same with 3 and 2.5 inch barrel options. Those would be perfect carry options for me, only con is the weight. Still can't figure out why 2.5 inch Python is around 7 ounces heavier than 2.5 inch 686 plus
🤣
I really like the 586 Smith & Wesson model blued is so nice, and this one by Colt the Python in blue. Maybe a comparison side by side is needed.
Just put that 6” on layaway. Just awesome. Noticed that serial number ended in 1942. Mine’s now 1974. Took it because my other Python is from 1978. Another coinky-dink.
Very nice! CZ is bringing Colt back to greatness.
I still need to buy one of the new Anacondas. It looks like CZ is doing a really good job with them. The bluing is georgous. How do you think the CZ bluing compares to the original Colts?
original was a nicer finish, very high polish. This is very dull/satin finish, what a shame.
Never was a fan of the full-length front sight ramp. It gives the muzzle a thick end-heavy look visually that I never cared for.
Hilarious that it’s easier to find an original Python than one of these now.
It makes sense. The original Python was made for 50 years.
And the 6 inch blued is the one I'm getting 👏
I gotta have the 4.5"
Got the 4in. On order. Have a 6in. Made in 1979.
YM, you are a revolver guy. Answer this for me please. When it comes to cleaning blued revolver's. What is the best gun solvent or cloth to remove excess power burns. From the outer cylinder❓
I need it
I told my dealer I will take whichever length blued Python he gets in first. I am thinking he will have one for me fairly soon from what he is saying!
That is some of the best bluing I've ever seen. The only finish I've seen that compares was actually not bluing, but was a spray-on fake bluing. I think it was Duracoat or something like that. Looked amazing, but I always wondered how durable it was, because Duracoat isn't nearly as durable as I would ever want on a firearm. I know bluing isn't the most durable of the finishes either, but at-least it's about as durable as the steel itself. If that is real bluing though... then damn, that is definitely some of the best bluing I've ever seen. (It may have been "DuraBlue" by Duracoat... but I can't remember. It was a long time ago).
Beste bluing? I'm a bit disappointed how dull it is. the original was a very high polish. considered buying a stainless one, but in europe it costs 2400-2600 euro, roughly double the price as a 686. doesn't mean it's twice as good, not even close. Then you have to add another 200 euro for the Wilson rear sight. In stead I've bought an Manurhin mr73, check out the bluing on those beauties! that is how the bluiing on the python should look like. Even then the mr73 is far superior to the colt or any other revolver in every aspect. it's really a bargain for what you get.
I got a new 6" Python about a year ago. Looks like my Stainless Python will be getting a Blued companion.
Same here pal , got 3 inch, 6 inch Pythons and one 6inch Anaconda , now need the blued 6inch 🐍, never ends lol
Is it actually blue? Instead of black paint on stainless. Tempting! I have always liked Smith's slightly more than Colts, and Pythons being out of production until recently answered the question for me, but I like a Blued gun.
nice
Waiting on the blued 4.25 myself....then the 5" SS is next
I can imagine the California version equipped without a trigger.
It's so shiny that it looks like stainless 😯
S&W raised the bar. A carload in every S&W Dealer before announcement. Cross reference the S&W EZ series and the new SD9 2.0.
I dont need another Python, but im buying one anyways
I want a blue 4-inch
I hope they release a blued 5 inch.
I'd have take that one
How much did this retail for?
Yum
How does it stack up against royal blue?
Does the 4.25 having 3 vents in the rib instead of 3 bother you?
The production models don't have 3 vents, only the preproduction models do.
@@joeyates1428 No disrespect ment, Source?
@@YellowFellow86 I've read/saw photos over the past couple of days, one being an online retailer. Hopefully, more will begin surfacing over the next few days to verify my claim. No offense taken.
@@joeyates1428 Thanks for the info.
Eager to see how the new blue finish stacks up to the old.
Might end up getting the 4.25 then, just hope that replacement stainless hammers might be available. Just being too traditionalist in regards to he hammer, I know.
@@YellowFellow86 ironically, I purchased a 4.25" stainless two weeks ago. Would have liked the option of the either.
4 and a quarter, not 4 and a half.
Holy Moley.
Didn't even hear this was planned, let alone released.
Apparently I been living under a rock.
Wait... So now it occurs to me to ask: Is this STEEL, that's blued? Or can they do something that looks like this good of a bluing, to a frame that's actually still the same Stainless Steel underneath, as the ones they've already been producing.
I know, I know, that's NOT how they did it in the old days with the originals. Those were steel, blued the old-fashioned way. (And the old bright-finished Pythons weren't SS at all, right? Those were also plain Steel, just Nickel-plated, if I'm not mistaken?) I'm talking about if it's possible with modern metallurgy/chemistry/processes now, to do a half-decent approximation of "bluing" on a SS gun.
My point being: Did they have to re-build the gun in a new (steel) material for this, or could they just pull some SS ones out of the existing production line, to do this special finishing process to?
So while blued firearms look great they will not withstand time as well as stainless finish ones. I was just loooking at friends 1981 Python Hunter and his whole firearm is covered in rust like material.
I see one available online for $1959 at one of my online stores that usually has the lowest prices. I hope that's not an indication of the normalized price.
Riflegear had it for $1,549. Below msrp. Out of stock as usual.
Scheels is 1499 right now for NOT stainless one. They forced me into it🙃
Put it on layaway 😅😅
Get,2
The Colt spokeswoman said they started shipping these out a month ago. So they should be available soon.
All they ones they shipped have already been spoken for. Because people just place orders online and buy em all up. I am anticipating it will be 6 months to a year before they become obtainable.
@@colinj5291Welp, you were wrong.
@@vilebasterd5729 Yep.
Yep
The stainless looks better
It's not the same high carbon charcoal bluing.
That's unfortunate. Sign of the times I guess.
Well no shit. They can’t do that bluing anymore..
Those grips are unworthy of being on that gun. I`ll have to get a set of Deer Hollow grips for mine, when I pick it up.
Is it just me, or are the hammer and trigger covered in the same finish as the rest? Hate to say, but kinda makes it look cheap without the actually blued h/t
My thoughts exactly. Looks like black spray paint.
But its not the royal blue.
Colt vs S&W? Please make a video!
Blessings, by faith in Jesus.
very nice but stainless is shiny. but that's my opinion.
It makes my old ruger security six look like garbage,
Makes my Dan Wesson look spray painted
I think it would have looked better in royal blue. Not really a fan of black, blueing.
I want a 4.25" IF... there's a version with two vents. I keep seeing 4.25" with three vent abominations being sold.
Bad to the bone
Mmmmmmm, it's so long and solid 😍
🤤🤤🤤🤤
Doesn't look as polished as old original python
The three vent 4.5 inch blue will not sell to Colt fans.
Stainless way better.
So sad they are putting more into the colts and less in to the CZ line😢
Need a blued 2.5
