except I don't think it's quite that, as destruction and rebuilding something new out of the flames was the intent of the woke movement. Trump's coalition is intent on a revolution, but primarily only a cutback to the original American path or identity; primarily a destruction of executive branch bureaucracy and other interfering influences with the separation of powers and federalism
I love having Friedberg’s analysis because I can’t always put myself in the shoes of a soulless zombie corporation but he has this uncanny ability to give the anti-human view. Even here he ignores Pfarma running the world for nearly 4 years but identifies an obscure person with MS who doesn’t visit the doctor but catches a miracle drug commercial and goes to the doctor. His other point was, not about the endless government money dumped into research programs and grants that the parasitic pharmaceutical companies receive, nor the windfall some of them have in the government making them immune from lawsuits, no, Friedberg identifies the problem as the relatively few individuals getting their healthcare paid for along with the people taken to the cleaners by insurance companies. I’m always impressed with his ability to think outside the box of people with a pulse.
Love Friedberg’s take on a mass extinction event being needed in Federal government. When I was an exec/manager in business, I hated zero-based budgeting - when the CEO would make each exec (cascading down the management chain) justify their annual budget from zero, as opposed to just negotiating a run-rate increase over the prior year’s actual expense. Very great CEOs force a zero-based budgeting exercise every few years to clear out the bloat and administrative creep that naturally occurs within human organizations. Clearly the Federal government has never done this and it is greatly needed!
What happens to to the large group in the Republicans base that depends on entitlements like social security, disability, food stamps, and GOV funded / subsidized healthcare when these are cut?

Also our government subsidises many pharmaceuticals.
What happens when a new ground breaking drug comes out- for example - the MS medication.
Firstly there are press releases from the pharma company to say this new drug has been approved by the TGA ( our FDA) and why it’s ground breaking.
Often they’ll get medical researchers or specialists to do interviews on morning tv.
Then when the drug is approved for subsidisation ( put on the pbs) then they can do advertising about the condition.
Something along the line ‘if you have these symptoms there is new treatment now available on the PBS, ask your doctor if there are any new medication/ device that can help you’
No brand name, no mention of the condition only the symptoms. Sometimes they state who paid for the advertisement - so people know which drug company has the drug, or if the government is advertising it.
But usually there is no advertising because there aren’t that many breakthrough drugs. But I don’t think the MS drug would have been advertised on mainstream channels or billboards. Probably just in pharmacies.
