Thank you so much for watching this and appreciating this. It is one of my favorite songs from QR. One that brings me to a different place every time I listen to it.
There are a lot of crappy drum covers of this song on TH-cam. You play with passion, your drum kit sounds like it should (wicked), and you stay true to the original. Thank god no overplaying. It was fun to watch. Thanks for posting.
That was so good. I love this song. You make everything look effortless. I found you on TikTok and enjoy your live sessions. You always make me smile, because you always look so happy. The biggest disappointment I have in my life is that I did not continue to play the drums when I was a kid.
Hi Jeffrey. Thank you for tuning in to my live sessions on TikTok. I am so glad that I can make you smile. I always believe, It is never too young to pick up the drums. and it is never too late to pick up the drums. Chris Adler from Lamb of Gad didn't pick up the drums until he was 21 years old. You did learn drums in your younger years, the fundamentals should still be there. Do not hesitate to continue on your learning journey. As Dom Famularo would say, Onward and Upward!
@@BrandonKhoo thank you for the encouraging words. My instructor was an Elementary school music teacher. She was amazing. She taught kids how to play every instrument in the class. And could play them all herself. Taught us how to read sheet music too. She took us from step one, and taught us all the basics, and worked our way up incrementally. I'm 64 now, trying to imagine how good I would have been if I stayed with it.
Once again, Brandon delivers a fantastic performance! This song is so packed with wonderful musicality and nuance. This video puts that on full display which is wonderful because Scott Rockenfield is, in my opinion, one of the most overlooked drummers of the 80s and 90s. He was never name -checked as one of the greats, but he was so perfect! He served the music, not his ego. Silent lucidity is one of the greatest tracks of all time in rock. Not your typical offering, but so unique and original. Simultaneously simple and complex, orchestral, and with a deep palate of sounds, this holds up today. Thank you Brandon for another wonderful video. Yours is some of the best music content on TH-cam!
@BrandonKhoo a great job both in playing and getting the sound of Scott's kit. The end of the guitar solo is hard to pick from the record (for me anyway) and you got it spot on. You have made my life easier, my band is covering this song so thank you 😄 Fantastic!
Bro , you are bad ass.. you put so much energy, passion and enjoyment in it.. one of the best drummers on TH-cam, i would love to see more content, especially of the 80s and 90s rock.. i cant stop watching your videos, very well done.. are you in a band ?
I feel like it would've been so easy to overplay this song. So tastefully played originally & here as well! The drums sound fab & the playing is spot on, mate! Enjoyed every minute! 🥁
Thank you Shawn. Yes, I do enjoy this song immensely. I can never get sick of it. Every time I listen to it, I discover something new about it. For example. Only after 32 years of listening to this song. I discovered that from 5.26 onwards the cello is playing Brahms lullaby. The band sneakily put that melody in the song as it fitted the theme of dreaming.
@@BrandonKhoo They were always good about sneaking things in to songs. There are songs on older albums that Geoff Tate will talk but can’t make out what he says or some other subtle thing. Anyways, enjoyed it and liked that you paid attention to the smaller details people miss!
Great job only thing in two places end of verse the sonic boom on the bass drum floor tom going into the chorus and the second time really need two anares to get that effect.
Bro this is such a good song. One of my favorites by queensryche to be honest. That was one hell of a video. Well done mate and I’ll see you on TT tonight for your live. RCminer
Great cover . A little overplayed on the high-hat (Some 16ths where there should have been sloshy 8ths, song needs to breathe) fantastic snare sound! Overall really good 4.8 stars out of 5!
Good Lord dude, that snare!!! please please please tell me how you got that sound! i understand you're using a Mapex Machete, i have a Mapex Blade, please tell me how you did it. i see you're using the Remo clear black dot batter, what is you're reso? how did you get that tuning? do you tune each head to a note? if so, which one? drum dial, tune-bot, by ear? ??? btw, great job on the playing, nailed it!!
😮😮😮😮Wow... Wow... Wow.... Great rendition to this masterpiece... Loved it ❤❤❤❤Kudos.
Mesmerized, must have watched this 30 times . So good so accurate. Well done 👍

@BrandonKhoo a great job both in playing and getting the sound of Scott's kit. The end of the guitar solo is hard to pick from the record (for me anyway) and you got it spot on. You have made my life easier, my band is covering this song so thank you 😄 Fantastic!
