The seal on the outside of the water pump should not separate the water and oil. Just there to stop the oil leaking out around the pump (and possibly water from rain, etc, getting in - which is unlikely). The water pump has a mechanical seal inside, and that is the important one to stop coolant getting into the oil
The buzzing is the fuel pump. It is a pulse pump. It pumps until there is enough pressure, then occasionally to keep the carbs full of fuel. It will cut out after a certain time. As you have pipe direct to the carbs you have bypassed the pump, so it will buzz ever time you turn the ignition on.
The engine is cranking over fine.
Getting the spark plugs out can be difficult. There is very little clearance in the spark plug wells. You need a thin walled spark plug socket.
Remember to plug the vacuum hose from the carb intake to the fuel tap (assuming the fuel tap is disconnected from the bike). Otherwise you have a large air leak after the carbs and it will be VERY lean on 1 cylinder.

That's your fuel pump priming. A few of my bikes are stubborn and need full choke to start. Get a can of carb cleaner and give the air jets, etc a quick blast. While you're there check for spark and make sure they're clean too.

The rattling is your fuel pump priming the system. Check your fuel supply from the tank to the pump (intake screen, fuel filter) pinched fuel lines?
Or... and here it gets tricky. The fuel pump and starter engagement give you a voltage drop sufficiently to not allow the coils to fire the plugs.
Make sure all lights and other electrics are off.
It's a 50/50 fuel or spark. I'd hook up a voltage meter and check the drop during starting first. See in the manual what is your needed coil voltage/ ? Amperage. Cheers, bon chance, Gruesse, Willy T.

To your problem: that noise is clicking starter solenoid, it's clicking becouse voltage is below 12.5V. Your starter is working and turning the crankshaft so it's not the problem. Check for spark (put out the spark plugs and ground to frame to see spark visually) if you have a spark check for mixture in cylinders are spark plugs wet? If there are no spark look for by pass wiring first: clutch, side stand sensor and so on)

5:55 gasoline? Good brake cleaner (like Wurth one) cannot hurt rubbers or o-rings, but gasoline is agresive solvent and not good to use on orings, if you dont have brake cleaner better use kerosine or diesel they are not so vicious

Diesel is OK and cheap. Also for cleaning the chain. :) Can check my content when you can. Cheers bro.

Get a fire extinguisher for gasoline....and electric fires. When trying to start a bike like that in a rented garage.....
PS. That sounds like a pump that goes without juice - but there are no pumps on that bike. So should be the starter relay....check it,...if it's properly grounded ...check for sparks first

There actually is a pump on the bike so it’s most likely that☺️

Nive video. It can be a bit troublesome to wrench on old bikes. To be fair, my old CBR took a lot longer (like actually 3 minutes continiously cranking the alternator until the battery was empty and 10 tries push starting it up and down the driveway) until it fired up after standing for over 2 months at at sub zero temperatures.
Place it next to your running car, jump start it from there and if you have a hairdrier, try to gently (!!) warm up the carbs a bit by blowing warm, and not hot air, into the airbox without the filter in it, so that the fuel vapor does not condensate in the venturi.
Good luck at getting the bike running again. Looking forward to the followup videos!

Before you start removing everything to get to the spark plugs you can ask the previous owner when he changed them if he did change them at all. If he is a honest man, he will tell you about it.
