I can't believe Donald auditioned for SNL and they turned him down. He's so talented and I'm glad everything worked out for the best because look at him now.

Whoever has been in charge of casting the last 5 or so years since Bill and Andy left has been shit, I think it was shit a couple years before they came on too, hard to remember that far back. Donald used to be part of Derrek Comedy and that shit was actually better than SNL, it was just a web series though. You either need to be famous, which is why he is hosting now, or you need connections, and I guess he didn't have connections.
He wrote for them for many years, Tina Fey actually had a lot of influence on him.
Donald Glove woul make a great Emmy's host because he can sing, dance, rap, play instruments and he's a comedian, writer and producer.

This is the best episode I've seen in a long time. It's great to see someone with "real" talent break through. I'm a Star Wars fan and the main and only reason I'm hyped for solo and think it's actually going to be good is this guy. His massive upward trajectory makes it seem highly unlikely that he's going to be involved in anything that's going to fail right now.

Glover is hands down the best entertainer I've ever seen in my life. Fuckin guy can write anything. Hip-hop, comedy, poopy pants, werewolf coming of age. He's got the chops, hopefully someday he'll write for SNL someday...

For those of you who didn't know, he played the clarinet absolutely wrong. It was backwards & didn't have a reed on, so no sound would have even came out. Somebody thought about that joke. I appreciate that.
