I like him. He stood up without being asked and helped the host carry the basket. Plus he's funny. The transition from him to CG is fantastically suttle yet so beautifully present.

She loves it, basking in all of the positive and healthy attention. It was an entertaining, intelligent, funny, and wholesome interview. It was a great slice of television.

Such an awesome guy. I think the thing that amazes me the most is the humility. I can't imagine another star that would walk off during the promo part of his interview to serve the audience cookies - he even got in the way of the camera that Steven was talking to lol. Seriously awesome
I'm not trying to be a hater, cuz I really like this show and I also enjoyed the last Childish Gambino album, but check out the New Yorker Interview he just did. This man is genuinely one of my favorite human beings on earth, he's so genuine and wholesome and just a great entertainer, be it music, acting, comedy, or anything, he just entertains.
Man, Childish Gambino, Tyler the Creator and Chance the Rapper, are in my oppinion real good guys. Obviously their music is dope AF but those three I always find them really humble and grounded. Also with their good deeds and charity work. You really can't hate on these guys. These are the kind of New-Age rappers I'm into. Because I find them absolutely not arrogant at all and their priority is not always showing off and all that rapper-cliché stuff. Keep it real guys.
I would love to spend a day just picking his brain, it's so amazing to see someone so creative and talented... there's not that many people who could do all the things he does sooo fluidly and (at least seemingly) effortlessly.
Please don't pick people's brains. That's such a disturbing phrase and an even more unsettling experience. You would love to spend a whole day doing that? He's not a lab experiment. Encourage your innate talents to strengthen and expand and you'll be able to understand for yourself the bewildering and beautiful ability to exercise your genius.
... or the whole thing was planned/staged :) For all we know, Gambino specifically saw that clip with the girl and set up the whole interview so that he could publically meet her and do this.
That seems like the correct theory. Every publicist sets up the terms for the interview, and the guest knows what they’re going to talk about. So the fact he got to meet her because he wanted to makes me even happier.
Nikolas Melo yeah I saw one with some you tubers who talked about it after and it was like litterally scripted, they got every question they would be asked and there were no surprises
Donald Glover seems like such a wholesome and down to earth person, I love it. It’s really nice to see a famous person who doesn’t seem so full of himself

Insane Sharks Exactly! He's absolutely exceptional.. I always make the joke, he's as good as "his father" in A Color Purple.. People seem to mess that up.. Lol
I don't even know who to equivilate him to. He's an incredible writer, comedian, actor, musician. I don't know that there has ever been someone that does so much and just excels so brilliantly at all of it!
Man, I wanna say...shit, I dsont fucking know. Hes also black in front of all of that as well. Maybe rod stewart? Will Smith? Maybe there truly is only one childish gambino..."..because winning and emmy just wasnt enough.."
Will Smith I guess could be the closest...but not really...his music wasn't near as deep...it was plain pop. And while he is a GREAT actor...he's had some really bad roles. So far Glover has done nothing but great. All of his music is amazing, deep, personal and moving....he reinvents his style with every album release. He does comedy and drama equally well. His writing hits as hard as his lyrics....he's even a great singer AND dancer. The man is a phenom.
This video just made me happy. They thing the host said at the end, “lets make some people happy.” Dude that just touch my heart to know that there is still a light In this world. And I know I’m being dramatic, but the way the little girl and her father smiled at the end really brightened my dad.
That had to be absolutely the sweetest thing. He bought enough cookies so she could reach her goal, and then some more so she could have some. What a wonderful young man. And so talented!
It probably gets tiring hearing how great you are all the time especially if your naturally humble. Personally I don't think he cares much for the trophies and trinkets, his whole approach is " I'm doing all this awesome stuff I love doing" and he's smart enough to realize the dangers of getting sucked into his own fame.
Childish Gambino didn’t shoot anybody; he made an important video to show how America is- get people to see things differently. Open their eyes. He opened mine.

Pink sweater, maroon pants, blue socks and Blue Suede shoes. This man has impeccable taste
Exactly my thoughts when he walked out and sat down!
She is adorable 💖
So is he.
Chloe Riley but
I already had a mad crush on Donald now it's next level. That was adorable
he's beyond "triple threat". Just awesome.
pause
Kelly Oubre Jr. I think he's gay. You shouldnt be expecting a "no homo" lol
RIGHT that's the only reason I ride for them. Im no idol worshipper but they deserve all the support.
I 100% agree with this comment
Vince Staples too! Wise beyond his years
Russ Wilcox 👆👆👆
so true ❤
I would love to spend a day just picking his brain, it's so amazing to see someone so creative and talented... there's not that many people who could do all the things he does sooo fluidly and (at least seemingly) effortlessly.
Ikr
lol I think he would hate that
Please don't pick people's brains. That's such a disturbing phrase and an even more unsettling experience. You would love to spend a whole day doing that? He's not a lab experiment. Encourage your innate talents to strengthen and expand and you'll be able to understand for yourself the bewildering and beautiful ability to exercise your genius.
Never knew he wrote for 30 Rock! Watched Community religiously even when it went to Yahoo, so happy for all his successes
Ikr
He has some cameos on 30 Rock, too! Go check em out
@@LBzzz ikr they're hilarious
Funny story, they brought him on to write for Tracey, but he ended up writing mostly for Kenneth (Prob why Kenneth was the best character on 30 Rock!)
This Donald Glover guy looks alot like Childish Gambino.....
@@SB-is4bt You're not very bright are you Sefia?
Tony Rivera I wonder why?
Angus Fraser at least they didn’t do they facepalm shit
Yeah well they're completely different people so just stop
I know they could be twins or something
I think he's very creative and an introvert. I love his uniqueness. It's refreshing.
I’ve had a crush on him for a long time omg.
I've slowly developed a crush on him 😂😭
Annie?
I can definitley see that, I'm heterosexual, but at least I can aspire to be like him :'D he's the best
@@Kiki-qm9jg *slowly developed* there's gotta be a punchline for him in there somewhere lol
i'm a straight man and i find him sexy no 🧢
I feel his humbleness just oozing out of him!
That was very generous of Donald but I feel like they left him with no other choice haha.
... or the whole thing was planned/staged :) For all we know, Gambino specifically saw that clip with the girl and set up the whole interview so that he could publically meet her and do this.
That seems like the correct theory. Every publicist sets up the terms for the interview, and the guest knows what they’re going to talk about. So the fact he got to meet her because he wanted to makes me even happier.
Talk shows are more staged than they make you believe dude 😂 they won't risk putting celebrities into actual weird situations they don't wanna be in
Nikolas Melo yeah I saw one with some you tubers who talked about it after and it was like litterally scripted, they got every question they would be asked and there were no surprises
@@adoniscreed4031 except from the eric andre show
I love his little giggles. It's so good hearing him being happy. Maybe it's just me.
Remember he also was the brain behind Matt Damon being rescued from Mars.
What?
Santiago Barrett The Martian
Rich Parnell
@@flyingardilla143 He's a steely eyed missile man
@@LL-tg2sg OH THAT WAS HIM?
this is so cute ;; the more i learn about donald glover, the more i just really love him
Bro just spent around 500 dollars on cookies
he got it
Its for the kids man....for the kids!
Troy would approve.
Worth it love Girl Scout cookies
His net worth is 12 million. It’s the equivalent of someone worth $120,000 spending $5 so who cares.
Donald Glover seems like such a wholesome and down to earth person, I love it. It’s really nice to see a famous person who doesn’t seem so full of himself
while I definitely don't disagree, he does come off very differently in this long interview/article
www.newyorker.com/magazine/2018/03/05/donald-glover-cant-save-you
Interviewer: Do you look up to anyone? “I don’t see anyone out there who’s better,” Donald said.
I just love him because no matter how talented he is and how many accolades are thrown at him he always looks like he'd rather be at home watching tv
just finished ATLANTA after watching community and here I am, in love with Donald Glover! Love you from IRAN!
I feel you, IRAN. Love back from fellow fan in Australia :)
Best part was her dad escorting her out. Glad that representation was shown. 💪🏾👑
Yes absolutely heartwarming 😍
The most underrated comment ever.
I thought I was the only one that noticed and understood that.
Thats a good representation.. very proper..
Agree!
I love that he even took the basket of cookies from Colbert. He seems like a genuinely nice guy!
He is so shy and the fact that he did try and come out as his "person" is amazing coz not many famous people can do that
This clip feels like an Atlanta episode ngl.
Ryan Njenga tru 😭
This is one of my favorite interviews ive ever seen Donald Glover is incredible
He is so talented! Whatever he accomplishes, it’s not surprising anymore 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Insane Sharks Exactly! He's absolutely exceptional.. I always make the joke, he's as good as "his father" in A Color Purple.. People seem to mess that up.. Lol
I don't even know who to equivilate him to. He's an incredible writer, comedian, actor, musician. I don't know that there has ever been someone that does so much and just excels so brilliantly at all of it!
th-cam.com/video/JCW7LiePmFw/w-d-xo.html
Gambino looks at you like he know's your dad left a scar on you mentally as he left.
Glover looks like he's tryna go home early.
that difference between childish gambino and donald glover is mind blowing
"The many faces of Donald Glover"
Subtle, but effective. Man has got talent.
Gambino never smiles. At least not after Camp
I thought he was gonna do his face from the cover of because the internet when he did childish lol
Im high af right now and that subtle change made me say wtf out loud
This could have gone bad in so many different ways but it turned out so genuine and wholesome. AMAZING!
Damn this man does everything.
Props to him.
nobody can rock a fucking pink sweater like that!!
United States Of Brazil I love your Pedro II's profile. Agreed btw.
thankss, man! preciate it
United States Of Brazil I
Well I look pretty nice in mine
noice!
"Does it make you hungry for Girl Scout cookies?"
"Nah I'm good."
I also thought that damn. It would've been disappointing.
who else is scrolling for a community fan comment and they didn't find any?
Same bro
community wasnt the same without troy
SAME
they are streets below
Scooby dooderino you mean streets behind
Glover mentions magic, Colbert’s mind goes straight to Magic the Gathering. Dude is up there with Elon Musk in terms of celebrity nerdiness 😂
Have you ever seen him talk about Lord of the Rings? Dude's knowledge is encyclopedic.
William Yates LOL yeah, there's a bunch of them. I think the James Franco interview clip is hilarious.
I don’t know about you guys but he just flexed on that whole studio
He is so awesome, cannot wait to see him as Lando in the Solo movie.
He's just so....... decent.
What a champ!
"Do you guys want cook-ays?" 😂 hell yeah!
miapdx pissed muh-self! 😂
dat corky romano reference
miapdx I love how he said it too 😂
I'm fucking dead! 😂😂😂
LOL
Such a beautiful human being.
He gave up his seat for her.
he's so nice, right?
Class Act!
Wholesome Gambino.
"You guys want cookays?"
The difference was actually in the eyes. Donald Glover looked bored. Childish Gambino had the thousand yard stare.
That's the best description of it.😎
CaptainTexican There was a confidence there too. Like "I'm fucked but I know what I'm about".
I made a side by side comparison picture, and it’s most assuredly the eyes.
With just a hint of furrowed eyebrow
FACTS!
1:28 He's reacting to his accomplishments being pointed out as if they are embarrassing moments 🤔
It's called being humble lol
Exactly SoulaAspectTLD. Exactly.
He's shy and humble.. if you call a shy person out on anything they will be embarrassed
i feel like he’s just super chill and introverted
Childish Landino
I get it
Wait til the end to get this reference
You're the goat
Only star wars fans :D
Asap Animation yes!
"Childish Gambino is for the children" - Also Childish Gambino: *Headshots a man*
Reference to “wu tang is for the children” he got his name from their name generation, childish gambino. I’m guessing he’s a fan.
Lets hope the children dont find bonfire or freaks and geeks
He knew what joke he was making, don't play like he didn't.
this is america
Childish Gambino didn’t shoot anybody; he made an important video to show how America is- get people to see things differently. Open their eyes. He opened mine.
