Aha!!.. one of my favourite vintage speakers. They really are a good all round speaker, and when you consider their age, they still sound amazing. Hence why I have a couple of pairs in my collection... Nice review, Big Man.

Bought my pair new in 1978 and they are still in regular use today. Always enjoyed their excellent sound on all genres of music. A pair in good unmolested condition today might be hard to find.

    Hoi André mooie test.
    Deze speakers spelen echt geweldig.
    Echte de oude Engelse sound.
Heerlijk ik hou van de Engelse sound.

I saw a comparison on your channel. b & w and celestion. I do not regret that the b & w is already sold - since I have a celestion that I got free of charge, since one speaker was with dry conders. I liked the celestion sound more. the sound is clearer and more natural. if you changed condensers in filters - you can tell which ones you replaced old ones - if not a secret

Cool. I have a pair in the loft I brought in the 70s and I didn't think they were worth anything.

I heard Tannoy Cheviot in 1977, I was only a kid back then, no $$ to buy any huge Tannoy speakers / Mcintosh c-28 + mc=2105 or mc-2300, Now , Nov-2020, I use US$10 ( or cheaper ) China made PC speakers. Lost most my passion I used to have.

@@haihuachen2627 Tannoy speakers are very expensive, but I found these speakers at a Goodwill store for less than 20.00 dollar I just had to replaced the foams and they sound really nice.

Hi Andrew. Hope you are doing well. I just wanted to ask you how you recorded the audio to the mic device and video to camera at the same time. What i mean is: did you combine audio track and video file in a software?

What about Ditton 150? Seems less common, made around 1980-1984, lot less reviews around. Seems they're very similar.

Using a mp3 player to test and make comparisons? Try a decent turntable and a quality orchestral recording and see how you go.

Cone was rubbing when you where pressing it you should really have them upside down get saggy over the years
Yes you can hear it's rubbing when you're playing not sounding too good you can bend the frame to correct it without dismantling the speaker need to know what you're doing
Maximum din should be 100 Watts I've got a set of Rogers the same as these most of them were 100 Watts
