There’s concern that having two Doctor’s in different shows running at one time would be confusing for people but as long as they call it something like ‘8th Doctor: The Lost Years’ I think it would work great! McGann was so good in The Night of the Doctor we need more of him on screen! 👍
If Matt Smith was up for it, a spin off where they show off more of what he did on the planet Trenzalore would be awesome. I remember seeing somewhere that if matt had stayed for series 8, the time of the doctor would have been the entire series. I feel like that gets around acknowledging any specific continuity, and could be interpreted as a reference to The Five Doctors or The End of Time, so it wouldn't confuse more casual fans.

For me it would be a Tegan and Nyssa series. However rather than have them already together and have it be another legacy character investigates Aliens show, S1 at least would be the story of how they reunite and got together. It would be a mix of a Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy and a Romcom.

I love the one you pitched with Ace, making the "final" classic adventure has such an appeal to it, especially with Disney de-aging and the 60th anniversary, it just feels right! Personally, I'd love to do a UNIT centred show with everyone associated over the years returning for various episodes of their own. This means you would be able to showcase Martha and Jo etc. Maybe crossing over with Torchwood etc as well. I ESPECIALLY love the idea of previous monsters UNIT faced coming back, I think Axos would be a perfect one as they only appearead once and could be UNIT's arch nemesis! I think the Gallifrey makes so much sense, and that could be it's own series imo. Romana and Leela heading up both sides of Gallifreyan society in a "golden" era before the buildup to the time war it would be awesome to get more of a look into normal Shabogan society outside of the Timelord high council.
It would be great to get some of the non-Earth based classic companions back while we can. An anthology series following the companions we can still do would be great
Big Finish being ignored would be so disheartening they add so much to the lore. I think they would make your show even better. I love your outline. I'd watch it.
If they hadn't passed on, I'd have loved to see Sarah and Harry reunite. Or an episode where the super great ancestor of Jamie McCrimon digs into his family history and wants to figure out why his super great grandad was spotted in the 60s, the future or other historical periods when he was from 1745. Now that'd be thrilling!
If we get Animated Big Finish "Scherzo" needs to be animated using the "pencil art" of A-Ha's "Take on me". An almost featureless world with just Charley and 8 walking in a circle in the choppy pencil art would be so spooky.
Funny, I thought about an exact same spin off series! I took it one small step further in my head though. I agree there should be some companion "follow up" stories and love the idea of a 6th Doctor meets Mel or an Ace and 7th final story, but I feel the series should start with David Bradly as the 1st Doctor's last day on Gallifrey... just before he leaves with Susan as Episode 1. (with a recast for younger Susan or De-age Carole Ann Ford). He can even have a scene in a Gallifreyian coffee shop where he's telling a young incarnation of the Master that he's decided to leave Gallifrey and take the Hand of Omega with him. The Master would be angry with the Doctor because he's "abandoning his friend" with these other plans that do not include him! Now you have a Master that has resentment toward his "old friend" origin story. Then Ep2 have it jump to a Martha present day story. Then after a few other companion stories, or past Doctor and companion final untold story, have Susan back and do her 8th Doctor Big finish story as an episode. The clincher in this series would be it could have a story arch that spanned across all the different times in the series to build up to a finale episode with say Omega (since RTD is so good with those) ... and that can even tie into the current season of Ncuti's Doctor timeline! I even have a name for this spin off... "Time Streams" :D
Season 2 Pitch: 1.Polly, This could be an episode where she faces off against something like a war machine 2.Grace 3.Amy and Rory 4.Seargent Benton 5. Ian, (If William russel hasn't passed on) I'd love a slice of life with him teaching, and sharing his stories at the support group and perhaps dealing with the death of barbara perhaps

Jackie's Big Finish stories with the Meta-Crisis Doctor are pure gold and really explore the character in a beautiful way, it goes into how she thinks and feels about her role in her life and her family's lives. We even got some insight during Love and Monsters which was actually quite good. Jackie gets slept on and I think seeing her again - if given the attention it deserves - could be such a good idea.
Great idea Josh! My dream spin off would be cop comedy mini-series. Silly human officer (Simon Pegg or Kevin Hart?) with hardcore Judoon soldier solving cases across the galaxy. And the chief of this space police would be great cricket fan played by Peter Davison (a parody of Fifth Doctor).
As always, I love your videos and here, you show a strong grasp on what could work with the existing audience as well as pulling in new viewers. The anthology format is a great one to keep people coming back. I like all of your choices: Susan, Martha, Jackie (yes, that's my takeaway from it), Jo, Romana and Leela (although I'm also not a Gallifrey fan, there is something there), and Ace (although I'm not a fan of de-aging so I'd rather see her now). Martha would be my favourite episode. Or Jo. Or all of them! :) For me, I'd also love to see Turlough. Even though he had an unusually conclusive end to his story, I feel that exploring that world would be wonderful, even just for an episode. And of course I want more Nyssa. Lots of Nyssa episodes! The spinoff I'd most like to see is... this one! I think you've hit on the perfect idea.

Love your videos! Susan returning to the series, or a spin-off is long over due. Is River Song her grandmother?? Hmmm I would like to s series about the 60's companions, set in the late 60s. Did Ian and Barbara marry or have children? Did they have a 'time-baby' ( like Amy & Rory)? A romance between Polly and Ben, or even with Dodo? Or is Ben bisexual? (sorry that's prob just my fantasy series). Is Polly Wright, the niece of Barbara Wright but they have never discussed their time with the doctor? Did Victoria Waterfield or even Tegan's Aunty Vanessa help with the creation of UNIT? Who were Ace's parents when she was born? What did all these characters do during the 1969 "The Invasion" (of the Cybermen). I've probably thought about it too much!

Yeah, and even if that video and the show's versions aren't linked, everyone still around in 2020s Earth are connecting. I'd love if RTD picks up on Chibnall's companion club at the end of Power of the Doctor. Kate and UNIT will have ways of finding everyone, UNIT worked with many companions and Kate even wants to recruit some haha (which is why a UNIT series would work - even companions can turn up!)
The Group Therapy session at the end of the latest show would be a great jumping-off point. Kate (UNIT) Stewart had said something about getting their help from time to time. Good idea!

I don't know if you've read the hellboy comics but they have this buraeu that deals with supernatural / alien stuff without Hellboy. I think something like this with Unit could really work for a spinoff. Just focuss on Unit.
To add to the Susan episode: Susan has stayed on Earth as she watches itself recover from the Dalek Invasion. It has been decades since the Earth was taken over, and since then, she has watched it become a near utopia, until recently where she was watched the rise of an extremist group start to grow. Susan needs to find out who is in charge of this and how she can stop it. What she finds could mean the end of the Earth. The leader of the extremist group: The Last Dalek. This idea has probably already been made by Big Finish or something.
I've always wanted an anthology series to fill the gaps, of knowing what the characters are up to. The goodbye between ace and 7 is a good idea. Of the de-aging doesn't work i guess it could be done in animation. I'd watch that
I like this concept, and episodic variety guest driven TV is right on trend. I love Jo Grant, and would love to see her episode. The auton angle is good, and some of the autons were heat activated, so we get a global warming tie-in, which is on point for Jo's environmentalist character, and we get a Greta Thunberg cameo too. I crave the answers to Susan Foreman's character, but I almost don't want to hear them. Some mystery is worth preserving. What about Amy and Rory's life back in the 1920s? A little romp in the jazz age as they live out their lives in the past? They had so much heavy drama, they deserve a little non-existential-crisis fun. And Sabalom Glitz! Who wouldn't want a lovable rogue rom-com with the bickering Bush and Glitz? I'm behind your spin-off idea. It could be really fun.
9:55 yes, Yes and YES. I would love to see Doctor Who do some "Throwback Episodes" as it were with the aesthetics of the old series, We got a taste of that in the FLUX Episodes seeing U.N.I.T. HQ from the Pertwee Era complete with tan beret clad U.N.I.T. soldiers shambling about the joint. I would love that. I really hope we get something like that going forward so long as it's respectful to Classic Who.
Okay hear me out... Call the series: U.N.I.T.E.D (United Nations Intelligence Taskforce: Extraterrestrial Defense) where every companion has their episode and at the end of every episode is Kate Stewart finding the earth based ones in current day or checking in on the ones already featured in PotD, assembling a team that can be called upon at any time like the Avengers but they don't break up after 2 outings and aren't over crossed with each other. We can then use this to reintroduce any companion at any time in Doctor Who main series, create a new big finish series for less popular characters and reintroduce new fans to older characters. We can even eventually introduce other characters that never really got their time in the line light like Sally Sparrow or Jenny! We could easily have Jenny crash on earth in the start of the series and warn of an invasion she heard about. We could have another computer based fight like the great intelligence in the bells of saint john and reintroduce Mr. Smith, we could bring in Torchwood, Class and SJA characters to flesh it out more as well! Imagine the sheer possibilities with an anthology show with Kate Stewart as the glue holding it all together.
I would love a episode with Charlie. I just got through the divergent arc and I feel she would be great on tv. Plus we need more big finish material in the actual show
My perfect spin off would be a proper season for the 8th Doctor since he only ever got the TV movie like it doesn't even have to pick up where it left off with the movie just show a few adventures that happened before he regenerated into the War Doctor with the actor at his current age since he still looks about the same as he did when he regenerated. I would've loved to have seen a War Doctor spin off where you get to actually see the time war but sadly that can never happen.

It can't be just, I'd like this situation with such and such actors, that would be a special, a one off. If you want to do a series spin off you must pitch a situation. What does our hero or heroes needs each time we meet them, the character could require to achieve a goal in the series. The show can be anchored to a fantastical location. I just wrote an example an idea for a show that is so good I had to delete it from here and into my private documents. It's called The Orb of Sinistra. But here is not the place to post it.
Absolutely a Davros series, set at various points. When he was fully human, and what made him a mutant in a chair. Why the Kaleds were fighting the Thals in the first place. And the seed of evil that eventually turned into Genesis of the Daleks.
I think you could have a really tragic story with an old Jamie. Maybe Jamie's memories of the future that were wiped/repressed by the Time Lords start coming back a little at a time as a kind of PTSD over the course of his life and he's seen as insane/possessed and cast out from society, and eventually through the events of the episode getting all his memories back and stopping the threat on his own - and thereby perfectly setting up a reason for him to come back for a cameo in New Who, since Frazer Hines has said he'd have been up for it before.
Honestly, I don't know how possible it would be with the rights, but I would love to see Daphne Ashbrook reprise her role as Dr. Grace Halloway and maybe team up with Chang Lee to stop the Eric Roberts Master one more time? Or some remnant of him. This could all be filmed in Vancouver as all of the actors are American, plus you could bring in some actors from the CW shows to play some side-characters. I definitely see a potential there. Also, on a side note, maybe each episode (or most of them) can start off at the companion support group with each of them recounting a story. Or other companions could come in that way to help out if needed.
On the side note of, de-aged characters. I would almost want to do this: Ace and or a couple of other characters are running through the Doctor's timeline using a manipulator! They are trying to stop some time-traveling menace that is trying to rewrite history. The series cuts in digitally enhanced footage from old episodes, with reproductions using look-a-likes of the past characters! At first Ace and Co are trying to avoid running into their past selves but the series ends with a mix of past and current day companions working together. They could even bring back Me and Clara for a story like this, the idea being that the Doctor has No Clue all this is happening behind his backs! Bonus points if the threat is Omega! Bonus, bonus points if the threat of Omega somehow explains the Timeless Child stuff, Jo Martin joining the cast part way though! ie, converging alternate timelines, or some other shenanigan!

I like your idea, most others ideas i see are mostly just doctor who, but someone else in the place of the doctor, or just another version they like. Which is fine and needed, but if we are having more than one spinoff i thing more genres should be considered. The idea I had was Jackie Tyler in her universe running an inn and tours for aliens who are interested on earth just as a tourist destination. it would 100% be a sitcom.
I'd actually love Ace and Mel to come back with their respective Doctors for meeting/departure stories, without even de-aging the actors. Just have some Shada-ending like scene at the beginning that makes their characters look older and then get on with it.

It's a story that is in the same kind of style of that Origin Stories anthology series. Companions encountering the Doctor before they join the TARDIS. It does cover what happened to Mel after the story The Ultimate Foe.

I would love a spinoff set in the late 3900's that just follows what humanity does at that time. There's a lot of interesting stuff in this period, the formation of the Second Great and Powerful Human Empire, the Daleks plotting their invasion of the Solar System, the enslavement of the Ood, the Dynamics with the other species of the Galactic Federation...
I had an idea for a UNIT series, but set in the 1970s, either just before or during the 3rd Doctor era (Post- Invasion). The Brigadier wouldn't be in it, it would be a satellite base located elsewhere in the country from London (Either Leeds or Liverpool), and they would deal with espionage, aliens, and Men In Black style situations
A nice idea. I think that's basically the only way to do a companion series. I personally would love a continuation of the Shalka universe. It feels simple to make, why haven't they done it yet?
I would love a Ian/Barbara adventure taking place either right after 'The Chase' or a few years later with Ian having to deal with Barbara's death. If they were to do that concept, I would make Ian still work at Coal Hill and the episode could be set before the Eleventh Doctor meets Clara. I also think, where the episode would be set, it would show Ian retiring from Coal Hill school and him fighting some of the old villains from his past!
Counterpoint to Tegan and Ace not know each other, in Sarah Jane Adventures, eponymous did mention looking into different companions (Tegan got an implied mention) and I'm pretty sure I'm remembering correctly but it's brought up that maybe they could reach out and make connections, to aid/replace the Doctor in events on Earth
There's a few ideas I'd love to see, ofcourse an 8th Doctor spin off would be the no. 1 but really I'd like a continuation of the spin off series's we've already had. Torchwood and the Sarah Jane adventures. I mean look what happened when John Barrowman returned to doctor who everyone went crazy so his return to Torchwood even if it's just a passing on of the torch ( excuse the pun) would be great. I think the Sarah Jane adventures could be great if Luke took up the mantle fighting aliens, get to see his relationship maybe they even adopt. I dunno just brainstorming here 😂
I’d love a Tegan/Nyssa/Adric one-off. Tegan begins seeing Adric in her mirror, the real Adric was alive trapped in the Master’s web (the Adric that died had been swapped circa Castrovalva), Nyssa and Tegan team up to save him. The remaining 40minutes is just Adric annoying the ladies who roll their eyes at him and contemplate sending him back to The Master. (My favorite TARDIS crew)
Oh, damn, that is a good idea about the Autons and micro plastic. Maybe a call back to Terror of the Autons where there's a factory that claims to process microplastics out of the water - and does- but then uses them particles to build Autons with no-one really the wiser. And then Jo, with her passion for evironmentalism, would be all go to have a look a factory and see how the process works and she'd use her UNIT credentials to get in and maybe there's a door she's not allowed to open and, Jo being Jo, does anyway. I want a Jamie and Zoe spinoff. I loved their dynamic. Don't judge me.
If I had my own spin-off I as well would go anthology. Mainly 2 partners though. This is complicated because this spin-off only works in my headcanon where the timeless child did happen but it just happened for a different doctor in another universe (hence the portal, the return of the master despite the fact he was dead, so on and so on). In the show we get to travel the multiverse of doctors and companions but only very few episodes get to have a doctor, this will probably focus more on the fugitive doctor and the secret organisation I forget the name of and don't care about. I think this is great for getting people we know will never become the doctor to be him for just one or two episodes such as Richard Ayoade and get some use out of what Chibnall has given us. I also think this allows the show to be much more experimental, we could have a pure comedy episode like what Moffat did before being showrunner, or horror or western, What If? Episodes. I know Doctor Who is almost all experimental but it's felt less like that for a long time. I personally would like to see a Doctor Who desert island serial sort of like LOST where a ship crashes onto a weird magical planet with no way of escape and the doctor isn't there to help. Stuff like that, y'know
Hot diggity dang! This is actually solid idea for a spin-off. Would watch that. I love the idea to show that the past companions could get life after their story on the main series ended. I think Martha was written like that, which I think it's brilliant and I hope RTD will continue this. Martha left Doctor Who, but came back for few episodes in season 4, having her own life and stuff between those episodes and even popped up in spinoffs (I've heard she was also supposed to be in Sarah Jane Adventures, but schedule was not in favour). So I like the ideea of UNIT hiring some of them (Yaz could work with UNIT quite well). But also it would be fun to see the Doctor seeing the past companions from time to time if they need their help.
I know I'm being a Basic DW fan when I say this but GIVE👏JEMMA👏A👏UNIT👏 SHOW 👏👏👏 But for real, A UNIT show with a budget could be a fun globe-hopping series, since I believe UNIT is supposed to have bases all around the world

It would be great to get some of the non-Earth based classic companions back while we can. An anthology series following the companions we can still do would be great
Big Finish being ignored would be so disheartening they add so much to the lore. I think they would make your show even better. I love your outline. I'd watch it.
If they hadn't passed on, I'd have loved to see Sarah and Harry reunite. Or an episode where the super great ancestor of Jamie McCrimon digs into his family history and wants to figure out why his super great grandad was spotted in the 60s, the future or other historical periods when he was from 1745. Now that'd be thrilling!
If we get Animated Big Finish "Scherzo" needs to be animated using the "pencil art" of A-Ha's "Take on me".
An almost featureless world with just Charley and 8 walking in a circle in the choppy pencil art would be so spooky.
Funny, I thought about an exact same spin off series! I took it one small step further in my head though. I agree there should be some companion "follow up" stories and love the idea of a 6th Doctor meets Mel or an Ace and 7th final story, but I feel the series should start with David Bradly as the 1st Doctor's last day on Gallifrey... just before he leaves with Susan as Episode 1. (with a recast for younger Susan or De-age Carole Ann Ford). He can even have a scene in a Gallifreyian coffee shop where he's telling a young incarnation of the Master that he's decided to leave Gallifrey and take the Hand of Omega with him. The Master would be angry with the Doctor because he's "abandoning his friend" with these other plans that do not include him! Now you have a Master that has resentment toward his "old friend" origin story. Then Ep2 have it jump to a Martha present day story. Then after a few other companion stories, or past Doctor and companion final untold story, have Susan back and do her 8th Doctor Big finish story as an episode. The clincher in this series would be it could have a story arch that spanned across all the different times in the series to build up to a finale episode with say Omega (since RTD is so good with those) ... and that can even tie into the current season of Ncuti's Doctor timeline! I even have a name for this spin off... "Time Streams" :D

Jackie's Big Finish stories with the Meta-Crisis Doctor are pure gold and really explore the character in a beautiful way, it goes into how she thinks and feels about her role in her life and her family's lives. We even got some insight during Love and Monsters which was actually quite good. Jackie gets slept on and I think seeing her again - if given the attention it deserves - could be such a good idea.

Great idea Josh! My dream spin off would be cop comedy mini-series. Silly human officer (Simon Pegg or Kevin Hart?) with hardcore Judoon soldier solving cases across the galaxy. And the chief of this space police would be great cricket fan played by Peter Davison (a parody of Fifth Doctor).
As always, I love your videos and here, you show a strong grasp on what could work with the existing audience as well as pulling in new viewers. The anthology format is a great one to keep people coming back. I like all of your choices: Susan, Martha, Jackie (yes, that's my takeaway from it), Jo, Romana and Leela (although I'm also not a Gallifrey fan, there is something there), and Ace (although I'm not a fan of de-aging so I'd rather see her now). Martha would be my favourite episode. Or Jo. Or all of them! :)
For me, I'd also love to see Turlough. Even though he had an unusually conclusive end to his story, I feel that exploring that world would be wonderful, even just for an episode. And of course I want more Nyssa. Lots of Nyssa episodes!

I would like to s series about the 60's companions, set in the late 60s. Did Ian and Barbara marry or have children? Did they have a 'time-baby' ( like Amy & Rory)? A romance between Polly and Ben, or even with Dodo? Or is Ben bisexual? (sorry that's prob just my fantasy series). Is Polly Wright, the niece of Barbara Wright but they have never discussed their time with the doctor? Did Victoria Waterfield or even Tegan's Aunty Vanessa help with the creation of UNIT? Who were Ace's parents when she was born? What did all these characters do during the 1969 "The Invasion" (of the Cybermen). I've probably thought about it too much!

Yeah, and even if that video and the show's versions aren't linked, everyone still around in 2020s Earth are connecting. I'd love if RTD picks up on Chibnall's companion club at the end of Power of the Doctor. Kate and UNIT will have ways of finding everyone, UNIT worked with many companions and Kate even wants to recruit some haha (which is why a UNIT series would work - even companions can turn up!)
The Group Therapy session at the end of the latest show would be a great jumping-off point. Kate (UNIT) Stewart had said something about getting their help from time to time. Good idea!

I don't know if you've read the hellboy comics but they have this buraeu that deals with supernatural / alien stuff without Hellboy. I think something like this with Unit could really work for a spinoff. Just focuss on Unit.
To add to the Susan episode: Susan has stayed on Earth as she watches itself recover from the Dalek Invasion. It has been decades since the Earth was taken over, and since then, she has watched it become a near utopia, until recently where she was watched the rise of an extremist group start to grow. Susan needs to find out who is in charge of this and how she can stop it. What she finds could mean the end of the Earth. The leader of the extremist group: The Last Dalek.
This idea has probably already been made by Big Finish or something.

I love Jo Grant, and would love to see her episode. The auton angle is good, and some of the autons were heat activated, so we get a global warming tie-in, which is on point for Jo's environmentalist character, and we get a Greta Thunberg cameo too.
I crave the answers to Susan Foreman's character, but I almost don't want to hear them. Some mystery is worth preserving.
What about Amy and Rory's life back in the 1920s? A little romp in the jazz age as they live out their lives in the past? They had so much heavy drama, they deserve a little non-existential-crisis fun.

9:55 yes, Yes and YES. I would love to see Doctor Who do some "Throwback Episodes" as it were with the aesthetics of the old series, We got a taste of that in the FLUX Episodes seeing U.N.I.T. HQ from the Pertwee Era complete with tan beret clad U.N.I.T. soldiers shambling about the joint. I would love that. I really hope we get something like that going forward so long as it's respectful to Classic Who.
Okay hear me out... Call the series: U.N.I.T.E.D (United Nations Intelligence Taskforce: Extraterrestrial Defense) where every companion has their episode and at the end of every episode is Kate Stewart finding the earth based ones in current day or checking in on the ones already featured in PotD, assembling a team that can be called upon at any time like the Avengers but they don't break up after 2 outings and aren't over crossed with each other.
We can then use this to reintroduce any companion at any time in Doctor Who main series, create a new big finish series for less popular characters and reintroduce new fans to older characters. We can even eventually introduce other characters that never really got their time in the line light like Sally Sparrow or Jenny! We could easily have Jenny crash on earth in the start of the series and warn of an invasion she heard about. We could have another computer based fight like the great intelligence in the bells of saint john and reintroduce Mr. Smith, we could bring in Torchwood, Class and SJA characters to flesh it out more as well!
Imagine the sheer possibilities with an anthology show with Kate Stewart as the glue holding it all together.

My perfect spin off would be a proper season for the 8th Doctor since he only ever got the TV movie like it doesn't even have to pick up where it left off with the movie just show a few adventures that happened before he regenerated into the War Doctor with the actor at his current age since he still looks about the same as he did when he regenerated.

I vaguely remember Dodo got finally written out rather nastily in the "Who Killed Kennedy" book by David Bishop.
It can't be just, I'd like this situation with such and such actors, that would be a special, a one off. If you want to do a series spin off you must pitch a situation. What does our hero or heroes needs each time we meet them, the character could require to achieve a goal in the series. The show can be anchored to a fantastical location. I just wrote an example an idea for a show that is so good I had to delete it from here and into my private documents. It's called The Orb of Sinistra. But here is not the place to post it.
Absolutely a Davros series, set at various points. When he was fully human, and what made him a mutant in a chair. Why the Kaleds were fighting the Thals in the first place. And the seed of evil that eventually turned into Genesis of the Daleks.
I think you could have a really tragic story with an old Jamie. Maybe Jamie's memories of the future that were wiped/repressed by the Time Lords start coming back a little at a time as a kind of PTSD over the course of his life and he's seen as insane/possessed and cast out from society, and eventually through the events of the episode getting all his memories back and stopping the threat on his own - and thereby perfectly setting up a reason for him to come back for a cameo in New Who, since Frazer Hines has said he'd have been up for it before.
Honestly, I don't know how possible it would be with the rights, but I would love to see Daphne Ashbrook reprise her role as Dr. Grace Halloway and maybe team up with Chang Lee to stop the Eric Roberts Master one more time? Or some remnant of him.
This could all be filmed in Vancouver as all of the actors are American, plus you could bring in some actors from the CW shows to play some side-characters. I definitely see a potential there.
Also, on a side note, maybe each episode (or most of them) can start off at the companion support group with each of them recounting a story. Or other companions could come in that way to help out if needed.

On the side note of, de-aged characters. I would almost want to do this: Ace and or a couple of other characters are running through the Doctor's timeline using a manipulator! They are trying to stop some time-traveling menace that is trying to rewrite history. The series cuts in digitally enhanced footage from old episodes, with reproductions using look-a-likes of the past characters!
At first Ace and Co are trying to avoid running into their past selves but the series ends with a mix of past and current day companions working together. They could even bring back Me and Clara for a story like this, the idea being that the Doctor has No Clue all this is happening behind his backs!
Bonus points if the threat is Omega!
Bonus, bonus points if the threat of Omega somehow explains the Timeless Child stuff, Jo Martin joining the cast part way though! ie, converging alternate timelines, or some other shenanigan!

I like your idea, most others ideas i see are mostly just doctor who, but someone else in the place of the doctor, or just another version they like. Which is fine and needed, but if we are having more than one spinoff i thing more genres should be considered. The idea I had was Jackie Tyler in her universe running an inn and tours for aliens who are interested on earth just as a tourist destination. it would 100% be a sitcom.

It's a story that is in the same kind of style of that Origin Stories anthology series. Companions encountering the Doctor before they join the TARDIS. It does cover what happened to Mel after the story The Ultimate Foe.

I would love a spinoff set in the late 3900's that just follows what humanity does at that time. There's a lot of interesting stuff in this period, the formation of the Second Great and Powerful Human Empire, the Daleks plotting their invasion of the Solar System, the enslavement of the Ood, the Dynamics with the other species of the Galactic Federation...

I had an idea for a UNIT series, but set in the 1970s, either just before or during the 3rd Doctor era (Post- Invasion). The Brigadier wouldn't be in it, it would be a satellite base located elsewhere in the country from London (Either Leeds or Liverpool), and they would deal with espionage, aliens, and Men In Black style situations

I would love a Ian/Barbara adventure taking place either right after 'The Chase' or a few years later with Ian having to deal with Barbara's death. If they were to do that concept, I would make Ian still work at Coal Hill and the episode could be set before the Eleventh Doctor meets Clara. I also think, where the episode would be set, it would show Ian retiring from Coal Hill school and him fighting some of the old villains from his past!

Counterpoint to Tegan and Ace not know each other, in Sarah Jane Adventures, eponymous did mention looking into different companions (Tegan got an implied mention) and I'm pretty sure I'm remembering correctly but it's brought up that maybe they could reach out and make connections, to aid/replace the Doctor in events on Earth

There's a few ideas I'd love to see, ofcourse an 8th Doctor spin off would be the no. 1 but really I'd like a continuation of the spin off series's we've already had. Torchwood and the Sarah Jane adventures. I mean look what happened when John Barrowman returned to doctor who everyone went crazy so his return to Torchwood even if it's just a passing on of the torch ( excuse the pun) would be great. I think the Sarah Jane adventures could be great if Luke took up the mantle fighting aliens, get to see his relationship maybe they even adopt. I dunno just brainstorming here 😂

I’d love a Tegan/Nyssa/Adric one-off. Tegan begins seeing Adric in her mirror, the real Adric was alive trapped in the Master’s web (the Adric that died had been swapped circa Castrovalva), Nyssa and Tegan team up to save him. The remaining 40minutes is just Adric annoying the ladies who roll their eyes at him and contemplate sending him back to The Master. (My favorite TARDIS crew)

Oh, damn, that is a good idea about the Autons and micro plastic. Maybe a call back to Terror of the Autons where there's a factory that claims to process microplastics out of the water - and does- but then uses them particles to build Autons with no-one really the wiser. And then Jo, with her passion for evironmentalism, would be all go to have a look a factory and see how the process works and she'd use her UNIT credentials to get in and maybe there's a door she's not allowed to open and, Jo being Jo, does anyway. I want a Jamie and Zoe spinoff. I loved their dynamic. Don't judge me.

Dodo: A Life
If I had my own spin-off I as well would go anthology. Mainly 2 partners though. This is complicated because this spin-off only works in my headcanon where the timeless child did happen but it just happened for a different doctor in another universe (hence the portal, the return of the master despite the fact he was dead, so on and so on).
In the show we get to travel the multiverse of doctors and companions but only very few episodes get to have a doctor, this will probably focus more on the fugitive doctor and the secret organisation I forget the name of and don't care about. I think this is great for getting people we know will never become the doctor to be him for just one or two episodes such as Richard Ayoade and get some use out of what Chibnall has given us. I also think this allows the show to be much more experimental, we could have a pure comedy episode like what Moffat did before being showrunner, or horror or western, What If? Episodes. I know Doctor Who is almost all experimental but it's felt less like that for a long time. I personally would like to see a Doctor Who desert island serial sort of like LOST where a ship crashes onto a weird magical planet with no way of escape and the doctor isn't there to help. Stuff like that, y'know

I love the idea to show that the past companions could get life after their story on the main series ended. I think Martha was written like that, which I think it's brilliant and I hope RTD will continue this. Martha left Doctor Who, but came back for few episodes in season 4, having her own life and stuff between those episodes and even popped up in spinoffs (I've heard she was also supposed to be in Sarah Jane Adventures, but schedule was not in favour). So I like the ideea of UNIT hiring some of them (Yaz could work with UNIT quite well). But also it would be fun to see the Doctor seeing the past companions from time to time if they need their help.
I know I'm being a Basic DW fan when I say this but GIVE👏JEMMA👏A👏UNIT👏 SHOW 👏👏👏
