    Used one at Atlantic City and feels the same as my CS3

    I said the exact same thing when I saw that marker 😂
    “THAT IS A CS3!!”

    Geo5 is my fav PE gun right now.
    Broke it in over the weekend and it was noticeably better than my CS3 or LV2.

    I just wonder how much more improvement can be made for electronic markers. Have we started to reach the plateau. At what point there isn’t a whole lot to justify these prices.

      Definitely have peaked , there is nothing you can do that would make anyone get blown away , efficiency is more than good , paint handling is top tier and you have all the options you could ever need , it's basically make a cool looking gun now and I'm ok with that because even " low " tier markers can perform extremely well such as the Etha 3 and so called " mid " tier guns are actually just high end guns that cost $600+ less such as the 180 , DSR+ and shocker . I mean the 180 has everything the CS 3 has except tooless grips . Basically unless you have the money to burn you can get a cheaper marker that easily holds it's own against any gun on the field.

      @@BAGofTALENT Spot on points! Most designs are in the aluminum tooling. I have a 180, and it’s a great marker, but really second guess that the E3 isn’t just as good for half the price, and No LED readout.

      I don’t know what they can change, but that’s the same thing they said when the Angel came out it 1999.

      @@RuinedClips I hear ya , I was playing during the Angel days ( with my spyder flash LCD 😀) so I can relate but I just can't see anything on the horizon that would blow my hair back , I hope I'm wrong but I just can't see anything getting much better than a CS 3 or Luxe idol.

    The name just irks me, just name it Geo 5 and roll with it, no need to have a R in it. It's not as pretty as the Geo 4 either. I also feel they priced it far too close to the CS3 and LV2. I would have loved to see this at 1400 or so. All my 2 cents but as someone who owns every generation of Geo... I'm not like OOH I need this.

  • @virtue946

    It was that added volume with the CS1/Geo 4 core I swear. Ever since then it lost its character, just wasn't the same and that's all that changed.

  • @EKKsoldier622

    I skipped the cs1/geo4 because I didn’t like the ergonomics. The front grip and length of the r5 is something I was worried about when I bought the r5 because I like short, but it feels great. I have a video up of the r5 v cs2 v cs3. This is a refined iv core and the shot quality feels just like it. Running it with Brass SFR on -

    I traded my geo 4 and got my cs3 after your recommendation and I never looked back. This gun looks cool and all but definitely not gonna give up my cs3 for it.

    It's a clone of the Macdev infinity drive.. just with the Geo iV's SFR as opposed to just swapping front can venting o-rings.. Which isn't a bad thing... but it's more maintenance than the Macdev Prime XDR...

    • @adamfeldberg9521
      @adamfeldberg9521 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Pretty sure the clone drive copied the IV core. Then they upgraded that to the infinity. That and the SFR. Big thing is the air cuts in the infinity core are why they are so much poppier than the IV guns.
      I do really want to know how this shoots in comparison to the GT2 tho.

    • @reignick1133
      @reignick1133 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@adamfeldberg9521 Macdev did somewhat clone the IV core in the Clone V drive ( which buy a spare for the Prime , between that and switching your can o-ring there's 4 distinctly different felling shots to the Prime as a platform) but here in Eclipse's newest gun? eyah its essentially an XDR with a replaceable SFR.. not a bad thing at all but not as potentially durable or as user friendly for maintenance as Macdev's offerings.
      as in regards to smoothness? this is really good, but the GT2 is the smoothest gun I have shot ( though NOT the quietest.)

      @adamfeldberg9521 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @reignick1133 i'm stuck on gt2 or the dsr+ rn. Shot the dsr+ and love the quiet marshmallow shooter but wish it was a tad longer.
      Not sure how I feel about the trigger frame on the gt2 and the features for the price, but I do love my MD guns. Still rocking a C6

      @@adamfeldberg9521 owning a GT2 and having shot a friend's DSR + extensively ( I'm probably going to buy one. , I am keeping my GT2 this is for sure.) You aren't going wrong with either marker.. both are GREAT.
      My GT2 has completely replaced my modified Luxe ICE/ Encore. the only downsides to the GT2 are : get the XTS front grip and use some museum wax to make a good firm seal on the USB cover.
      the cover itself is OK but it's not as tight as I would like it. Museum wax is cheap , non- marring , you get a LOT of it so it's easily replaced for decades. It will keep that cover on snug and sealed until you want to open it to charge.

    When are they going to realize that everyone wants a geo 3 without a macro line. But my biggest disappointment is they didn’t include the IV core prop shaft adjustment screw. It’s a small thing but could really get the geo 3 shooting exactly how you wanted. IMO. Until then the geo 3 w iv core is the greatest marker ever made.

      Used 160r is around $300. I could live with the weird pipe and spend the balance of whatever the R5 costs on so much other shit. Could also get a CS1 or CS1.5 and have $1000 on other shit.

    still think I am going to keep my geo 4, but I am still using my 170r most days anyways

  • @beem132
    @beem132 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    When I shoot my geo4 I perceive a sound like "shhhhh slap" when the sfr is fully closed. The slap part is pretty unsatisfying. My R5 is definitely more of a dull thump at the end of the bolt stroke which I think is part of why it doesn't feel like the geo4. It also doesn't feel like the R5 is struggling to shoot when the SFR is closed.

    • @axledog7297
      @axledog7297 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This is why I've never understood why so many prefer the way the IV Core shoots with the SFR in its most restrictive setting. The lock time is too long, the cycle too lethargic and if you really take the time to study the "feel", the marker isn't actually any smoother, given the fact that smoothness is *mostly* the reaction to accelerating the projectile. A faster, more linear cycle actually produces a more satisfying cycle and that's what they've done with the R5.

      @@jackdorris4519 talking more on performance that's why I left the CS3 off the list because the 180r is preferred over it.
