I absolutely love my Xiaomi 12S Ultra. I had it imported from Hong Kong and use it on TMobile here in the United States. I switched to an iPhone 14Pro for about a week then went back to using the Xiaomi. It's just a better phone overall.

@@james5277 , Xiaomi still wins at video because you have to take in consideration its Android in which means that OpenCam and MotionCam will simply destroy the iPhone if you are really serious about cinematic footage that needs to be color graded. The 1" sensor doesn't need AI nearly as much as the iPhone when its comes to pulling in more dynamic range. Any serious video artist knows not to use the native camera app.

Looking at the side-by-side photo comparisons at 2:48, 3:35 and 4:09, the iPhone photos look more sharper and show better details in the shadows. The Xiaomi uses a 1" Sony IMX989 main sensor. The iPhone 14 Pro uses a 1/1.28" Sony IMX803. Keyword, Sony. IMX sensors are the big player within both these phones. Apple doesn't need a reputable name like Leica to help sale a phone because the company already has one......Apple. Xiaomi is likely using Leica to help boost sales similar to how Apple used Beats to help boost sales in the music department. I'll put it a better way, Beats sounds catchy at BestBuy but it gets laughed upon at music stores like Guitar Center. Leica just sounds catchy.

Compared to the iPhone 13 Pro -v- the Xiaomi, it would have been a whitewash. So those claiming the 14 Pro are not an upgrade are either on troll patrol or need to get some glasses.
One day a phone will come along that wins at everything, but at the moment you have different phones doing certain scenarios better, so it is a case of what is the most consistent or what you value more. The most consistent camera phone remains the iPhone, and what you value is subjective. The Xiaomi is great and it may challenge for number one with the next-gen. As I use video mostly, I have always had an iPhone for work, and even after 15 years, I do not see a reason to change. For photoghraphers it would not as easy a choice.
