This air fryer okra recipe is super easy and makes fresh or frozen okra crispy with a fraction of the oil when frying it. This one ingredient is the key to air fried okra and is the only way I'll make it, now!
First I really ENJOYED your video (and your accent)...... I love fried okra and recently bought a bag of frozen breaded okra that I plan to air fry tonight. I've been looking at videos for cooking times. I think for mine I'm gonna go 5 mins then shake and go 5 more minutes (checking it closely on the second 5 mins). Thanks again for your video..... I must say I had a chuckle when I heard you say that you sometimes "Oven Fry" it...... if you have a older model oven like I do..... everything is BAKED UNLESS....... you have a "new fangled" oven that has the convection feature and then.... food has to on a rack in the oven so the air can circulate. I'm NOT trying to be mean...... I'm just saying Thanks

Looks great! I like the cornmeal so much better than the batter they use in restaurants.
Me too! It’s the way I grew up eating okra with cornmeal!
Looks good!
Thank you Joel! We still have okra in our garden!
Our okra out did itself this year. I'm going to try this soon.
Mine is still producing just a few a day!@@lindajones3056
Gonna try, however my garden okra is frozen in those chunks, I wonder how they would cook frozen?
What’s a good alternative if you can’t have cornmeal? ( No grains -wheat, corn, etc.). Thank you!
I ground pork rinds. I use these to coat the okra.
I’m sorry … I grind pork rinds.
If I don't feel like (and I don't most times) messing with alot of little pieces, I take the stems off and split 'em down the middle.
Yes! They are good roasted without the cornmeal this way, too!
