D Rob is probably out of the question from what I’ve heard he isn’t going to sign with anyone and is taking a break he could take the mound sometime later in the season for a contender
Given the BP situation, why did we drop Roansys Contrares after picking him up, isnt he certainly better than some of those guys on our curreny roster?
@generallukeproductions I'm glad he won't be our set up man, that would have been disaster but to have a guy like him just in the pen, I wanted to see that.
Nope, I did followed Pirates games when there weren't Rangers game on, I would just say his control was his main issue, can't even throw a strike when he is off, not the best to be betted on.
Guess I'll keep yates if I had to choose he was dominant last season. I'm just hoping 2023 wasn't an aberration and they get back to smashing the baseball cause 2024 sucked
Two questions- 1, do we have better proven relievers in the bullpen now? If so. Then let him go. 2, can they do a performance bonus contract to sign him at a lower salary for the year?
I like D Rob as well, but look at his whip rate 8-3-24 through 8-14-24. Era is deceptive. Good teams got to him late in the year. I agree with resigning Yates, but finding a younger arm for the $ DRob is seeking
brice, remember what happened in the last month of the ssn w/ robertson, gave up big hits with men on.great early, showing age. kirby yes but lets move on from david.please dont EVEN consider pitching latz above aa
Pay them guys 11 plus 14 is 25 million lol. We need them both
Keep both, to chose one keepYates
Both are very important but Yates gets my vote.

Good question. He was projected by Fangraphs to be our set up man

Both please
Yates prob fills the bigger need rn: closer
Yeah my feeling is Robertson could be your closer but I'd prefer him as a setup guy who can go multiple innings

I would love both
are they even looking at a starter? or is there not enough money? Jack Leiter is NOT ready...🧐
I say sign both of em but if I sign one I would say sign Yates

I don't think one month of not great D Rob indicates he's washed but I do lean more towards Kirby. And Latz wasn't THAT bad lol
