You might try suspending the bronze parts over a very warm ammonia bath, so the vapors can put a dark patina on them. Hey, it's cheap, worth an experiment for future projects. Gorgeous work, as usual.

Even if Will's touch Mark is not on it historically the master Smith is typically the only touchmark on a blade. Most historical blades with a touchmark from a master Smith that was produced in there shop would of been produced by there apprentice. Not to say I know the dynamics of there shop but it would provide a answer to your question / statement.

Check out some European instant coffee (Kenco, Nescafe Gold). It's not quite as good as amazing coffee, but it beats most name brands/fast food coffees.
Indian or Vietnamese instant coffee will blow you away. Also, take a spoon of instant, a packet of hot cocoa mix, a packet (sachet) of sugar, and a creamer, add hot water, and you have a home-boy mochaccino.
Speaking as a Brit who pretty much only has euro coffee around, I'd recommend cafedirect or percol. Still can't beat a good french press (or aeropress in a hurry).
Im actually selfishly glad that there was so much revision on that single piece because it meant so much more time and close ups to enjoy the rest of the piece.

The pattern weld u put on the chefs knife is my favorite. Here's why. The best, most skillfull warriors, especially samurai, would have blood on only the first 6 inches of their blade. The Damascus pattern of the chefs knife would serve so very well, in trying to perform bladesmanship with such accuracy. With all love and respect I say, pls make a sword with it, whether Japanese or European or whatever! Much love from the us!

Project request: Zulu Iklwa! A wide-bladed short sword on a short staff used to vicious, devastating effect against enemies and a fine platform to show off some lovely patterned damascus, maybe the pattern similar to the M-9 Bayonet Project.
Just a tip for your really close up shots grab urself some base coat tack cloths to pick up any dust particals its what we use b4 painting to make sure theres no dust in the paint work
It would be really interesting to see how you would make a european longsword with all the experience you've gained from the viking sword and the cavalry saber.
For jewellery purposes I was always taught to clean the pieces very thoroughly with a toothbrush after sand blasting as embedded particles can absorb oil from your hands! Might be worth trying out!
Good day Alec, have you considered making a Damascus putter. I think that making a putting with a unique pattern would be unreal, and would work well on a putter with a lot of semi-flat surface area.much like the Scotty Cameron Futura 5MB. I hope this comment finds you well, have a great summer!

@@petararmbruster5039 Its beautifull and ugly at same time,its all machined,perfectly simetrical -and thats where the ugly part begins,its boring,no hand touch ,no mistakes it looks like something that is produced in 10.000 peaces on a CNC machine.For me at least thats what makes something handcrafted so beautiful.

But you can argue that they got other value from it as well in learning how to cast, and a few other skills they can put into other projects. Make a Roman pugio (dagger) and gladius (18-20 inch sword) between the two, the 30+inch swords of the French and British were beaten more times than not. Both elegant, efficient designs.

You really need to get someone onboard to do a secondary video for leather and wood working Specifically in the sheath, scabbard, and other practical cases, displays, and such.
I'd love to see more rubies in future pieces, especially on ones with coffee etched damascus, and pieces utilizing brass/gold. That red pairs with those colors really well and could turn out a beautiful piece. I absolutely loved how the final piece turned out btw! The antique polish turned out much better than the patina in my opinion, really didn't see that coming. Great job!

I'd love to see more rubies in future pieces, especially on ones with coffee etched damascus, and pieces utilizing brass/gold. That red pairs with those colors really well and could turn out a beautiful piece. I absolutely loved how the final piece turned out btw! The antique polish turned out much better than the patina in my opinion, really didn't see that coming. Great job!
