I recently replayed this game on Xbox. I've played it and completed it like 10 times before that, so I already know most things and it still took me 30 hours. 9 hours is fucking crazy!
Not earning any channel points while you are running P5R is sad. Hope I can still get a VIP eventually. Congrats on all the WR's in the KH1 categories, been fun watching them all as you get them!
Thing is, I am probably going to get that ugly photo of Sora getting yeeted by Donald and Goofy because clearing Proud will probably be my last trophy unless I decide to hold off on Sephiroth until after my Proud run. EDIT: I used Gizmo Tower to farm as it gave more EXP. The Wizards were the only hassle as they can get invuln for a moment.
For me one of the bigger adjustments between vanilla KH1 and Final Mix was the treasures. A chest in KH1 would have a gummi block, and in FM would contain puppies lol Just goes to show how little adjustments overall are actually necessary, because the treasure thing still isn’t much
So it's been a while since you were here but hitting him gives you tech points equal to how many hits you do. So the first hit is worth 1 exp and the second hit is worth 2 exp. 1+2=3 so when you do a full 100 hits you gain a total of 5050 exp for one Rare Truffle. There are 3 you can get in Halloween Town netting you 15,150 exp if you can do all 300 hits successfully.
I enjoyed this video. NOTE: I am almost at the platinum for this game myself. I have to do a Proud Mode Run(have a save at Traverse Town with Level 18 because I made Heartless Hunter my first trophy by killing 2000 Shadows on Destiny Islands XD) and kill some superbosses and farm nasty monkeys for synth items to get all the synth recipes(I am at 17/33 right now). Just defeated Kurt Zisa (easy) and Phantom(nasty nasty work, I nearly got defeated by him because the lock-on was mean and would not let me lock onto the clock to use Stopra on it).
Just started Watching the video and reading comments. I know that if you have lucky strike equipped you get to have higher rarity materials drop while if you have less or no lucky strikes you get lower quality / rarity drops
Beginner is definitely advised for the trophy if you're just doing it on your own time. You only have to not modify your equipment, so beginner starting you with those extra accessories doesn't inhibit the challenge. We do the run on proud difficulty since we can get every trophy on a single playthrough. Very tricky, but much faster.
@@shirohimayumikira234 encounter plus helps a ton, and lotus forest is the best for the white mushrooms because they only do blizzard fire and thunder, while other places they want gravity as well as stop, which would mean opening your magic tab. So lotus forest is best bet.
It's a silly Glitch that works on the English Ports of KH1, if you run to that Red Trinity marker without approaching any other markers you get a tutorial cutscene and because of that cutscene you can just run towards the gate and go through it. Saving approx 10 minutes on future visits of Traverse Town.
Wow this is insane I'm a seasoned Kingdom hearts player but the fastest I managed to get platinum was about 24 hours (in-game time) which took me about 2 days playing 12 hours each. I had no optimal route and no real plan though and I wouldn't really call myself a speed runner of any sort. It also didn't help I had terrible luck and it took me over 2 hours to get defenders shield and over 8000 defenders killed before 1 dropped. I love kingdom hearts and can finish the game on proud in about 5 hours but there's no way in hell I can run through the entire game and item/synth grind in 1 sitting I comend you

Only on the PS3 version of the game. When the games were ported to PS4, it was made so that difficulty trophies can stack. If you beat Proud mode in this version of the game, you unlock the Standard/Beginner mode trophies as well.
@@inthebasement2989 yep only applies when the ability is equipped and you finish a combo. After that combo, you get the damage boost until you attack again and don’t finish that combo. There may be other situations that reset the damage boost but I think it remains until you attack again. Hope that makes sense

@@Saix2008 thats a shame. For a lot of us the opening is super nostalgic. Kh1 was such a tentpole release for a lot of gamers so I'm sad that it doesn't bring back fond memories for you.

I watched someone else do a blind LP of this game, and saw him struggling with some boss fights, and that made me curious if there were speedruns of this game, and it made me want to know how speedrunners get through bosses like Sephiroth and Kurt Zisa and whatnot. So I started watching this at 2x speed, cuz it would take me days or even weeks to get through 10 hours. I'm only like 10 minutes in to this speedrun, and already I want to turn it off. Listening to streamers speak makes my ears bleed. It's so cringey listening to him "personally thank" someone every 10 seconds and say shit like "I hope you're well." No he doesn't. He hopes you'll give him money for speaking your name out loud. It makes me sick that people can actually make a living just by being disingenuous leeches. And to answer your question: YES! I am jealous of people like that. I seriously wish I could make ass-loads of money just by playing video games. But I could NEVER do it. Not only because I'm not that good at videogames, and I don't have much of a personality; but mainly it's because I couldn't force myself to be such a completely transparent, fake, disingenuous pussy, begging for peoples' money. And to the people who donate: wtf is wrong with you? You're literally getting off because some random nobody says your name in front of an insignificant amount of people. And not because he likes you or cares about you, but because it's expected of him if wants to continue to get more money from idiots like you. damage storage, a property of exp zero. Makes every mushu attack do as much damage as a combo finisher

why does he activates EXP zero from times to times ?
Because exp zero can sometimes enable you to do more damage because if you are underleveled it scales your damage for bosses.
