Selling Your Audiobook on Audible - Setting 3 Categories

- Audible only has about 200 categories for books to be listed in. That means it is really important to be in the right category in order to be featured to listeners who might buy your book. It's also tricky because on the ACX site when you upload your book, only one space is allocated to category selection. You can, however, get listed in three categories. In this video, Julie Broad of Book Launchers explains how to select the categories and get Audible to consider listing your book in those categories.

Thanks for this informative video, Julie! I never thought much about my ACX categories, so the brush-up and Dave C's video are great!
Right?! I hadn't really either so I am glad for Dave's nudge.
Thanks, Julie. I love the Rocket. It has so much information and is fun to play with while researching.
This video has me thinking that there should be a 'starter's kit' for new authors. This kit would contain information about items that an author would want to have in their arsenal in order to be successful quicker. Of course, Publisher's Rocket would have to be there, as well as information on types of books such as eBook, Paperback, Hard cover and of course Audio. I know your team could develop such a kit, and it could serve as a lead magnet!
I wish you all the best.
Excellent suggestion
Thanks, Julie! I still feel like I'm making my way slowly through understanding audible book distribution, so vids like this one add a little bit more to my growing knowledge.🙂
Wonderful to hear!
Great video-as always! If we’re in ACX/Audible through Findaway Voices, is there anything we can do about this? Our books are of course on Audible but through Findaway. Can we email ACX still? Thanks!
Excellent question - I have to look into this actually. My guess is you should email Findaway voices first.
