Maybe against an unknown OPP you mulligan so you don’t take 4 damage then risk not hitting, but against turbo fog it’s an easy keep imo.

I love this type of videos with the time pressure to build a deck. I liked Toffel idea of a turbo fog with a fastbond - zuran - crucible combo. The crucible also helps with constant mists, and the howling mine too. Unfortunately, splinter twin is just too consistent
I dunno how others feel but I find printing cards with old border kinda sickly sweet, it's weird nostalgia bait and feels excessive, I'd rather just have an actual retro sol ring, a pretty full art or.. even just a normal modern sol ring.
@@cheesi I definitely understand the nostalgia bait feeling, but I for one applaud the old border reprints because for those of us who didn't play before the border change and don't like white border cards, it can really suck having to spend money you might not have on getting the original black border versions of cards.

Without the Saga (+package) this deck is cheap af + you could get the banned artifact lands and with a little bit of luck, you could also get a played tolarian academy (you gotta dream big).

Thoralf's experience showed in the claricty and calmness. But Kai just went full blown deadly combo. No mercy. The animations and the game in the end are really nice, very nice production.

Great gameplay as always. The deckbuilding was super fun to watch, and I'm impressed you guys were able to look at some piles of cards and form a general idea of what you could do in such time constraints!

Were they given a banlist or something? Theres so many great cards that cost less than a dollar as a playset. Brainstorm, Dark Rit, Grave Titan, Reanimate surprisingly with the Outlaws reprint, and Buried Alive plus the Surveil Lands which cost about $6 a piece. Dimir Reanimator is 1000% possible with that budget the only expensive pieces are the duals and the force of wills!

This was so fun! They did such a great job with a small budget, no restrictions, almost nothing discussed before hand. I love it!
It sucks that Thoralf was having such a scatter brain episode there. If he'd had maybe 3 more fogs in the deck it wouldve gone very different

Pestermites' ability uses the stack. Tapping a land for mana does not. In response to the pestermite targetting forest, tap it for mana.
