Comfortable performance by the Capra, not quite so flawless from the Austar but what did you think? We’ve since made a couple of mods but the next run will tell whether it’s improved…

I've not tried 2.2's on either of my Capras but after seeing how well yours' does on them I might give it a try. Great video as always. It's nice to see how the Capra has progressed.
Links usually get hidden so it could well be dude. The 2.2's are a trade-off as most things are. We've raised the COG fairly high with these ones but they are just about the biggest 2.2's you'll be able to find. Some 2.2's will be a similar size to 1.9's but allow you a bigger metal beadlock meaning more low down weight so it depends what you're going for👍🏻
That's some good crawlin guys! I think the little guy needs softer foams to get the grip but like I tell everyone else who asks, you get what you pay for for the most part. Get a cheapo, but if you love it, don't put money into it, just keep it working and get something more worthy of upgrades
Interesting philosophy. In all honesty it was J that wanted this one, I was never a great fan of it, but we do enjoy making these trucks perform beyond their capabilities!
One of our regular spots, the rocks are insane! Honestly I don’t really see the point in it. I’ve seen several capras running rws so they’re taking it out of the hands of the buyer but is that really worth the re release??👀

Capra is always a good bet, but the li'l bstrd is nothing to scoff at. I'd say "considering," but after the amount that's been done little beasty, it's lost the extra points for being cheapo. 😂 It's like swapping all the Beetle parts for Porche and acting surprised it's faster...🤣😂 🤫(pretty impressive) 🏴☠️
The little green guy did quite well, considering he was up against a truly capable Axial Capra. I own one, also heavily upgraded including rear wheel steer, it will go most places others dear to crawl. Ha. Great job guys, liked and subscribed. John.
Thanks John! It was always going to be a challenge running it along side a capra but it gave us a good insight on what had to be altered first, for the price its one hell of a crawler!
Why is the injora just falling when driving down hill is there no drag brake set? At the very minimum, I'd put a HW 1080 and Holmes motor that alone would make it 200 xs better lol not to mention some proline preditors perhaps the Mickey Thompson Baja Pros 👍🏼

Jokes aside there's a button for captions, I will let you know that I have learnt my lessons from editing videos all that time ago and music has in fact been turned down, contrary to your request. You live and learn my guy. I don't know many people that start off youtube videos as a professional editor👍
@@RCunexttuesday right it’s just that the thumbnail is a little misleading since it doesn’t say what your Capra is built to perform for. just saying that it’s built to perform will make people think that it can perform under any condition even tho you did show clips of it struggling sum people don’t watch the whole video and will do there’s exactly how yours is and then get mad because they’re too top heavy and keep flipping
I wouldn’t classify that as misleading at all. Is the phrase ‘leading scientist’ misleading because it doesn’t tell you specifically what aspect of science they deal with? Or is ‘world leader’ misleading because you’re not told what part of the world they govern? Call it what you will, but in all honesty I feel like you’re picking holes because you can - I mean you can even see the rocks in the thumbnail so it lends itself to the assumption that they will be the terrain for the video?🤷🏻♂️

That little cheapo flexes better than last time. Bit more grip with tyres it'll fly over those rocks
It will indeed, very much a work in progress but we’re not giving up on it👊🏼

The shocks are without doubt a point of reconciliation, we're trialling different things to see how well they perform run by run

that comparison aint fair in my opinion. it is on the different size. larger tires means higher ground clearance
To each their own, they're both slammed to negate that clearance but it is what it is

We’ve built our Capra to work best on rocks, not be an all rounder and much less be an ‘off camber rock defeatist’. The joy of the hobby, I suppose🤔
