    $1,200 per month? No thank you. And I’m from the US. A one bedroom apartment in my area is $1,800-$2,400 yes, but for Laos I’d expect it to be way cheaper than $1,200 😂

    • @kingjeyyy
      @kingjeyyy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Sam 24 and that’s the sad reality. Most of the Lao people can’t even dream to afford it. If an American thinks it’s expensive, then I can only imagine what the locals feel.

    • @DanvsFood
      @DanvsFood  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I found similar units (at the third complex) in the centre of Bangkok for $350. Here in Vientiane the price is double.
      I didn't want to get into the details about price differences & reasons why. Maybe forms future video ☺️

    • @kingjeyyy
      @kingjeyyy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Sam 24 it’s cause they can’t afford them… thanks for telling a Lao person what Lao people prefer… out of here with your nonsense. Either you’re a foreigner and have yet to see the great disparity between the locals and foreigners, or you’re a very privileged Lao person with 0 sense of what the 99% of Lao people are able to afford… just saying. That price is ridiculously expensive. I’d expect it in a more developed country with higher GDP like China, but not Laos. And as others have noted, a similar apartment like this can cost $350 in the smack middle of Bangkok. So why is this expensive? Simple answer - for foreigners. How sad. Enough said.

    • @kingjeyyy
      @kingjeyyy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DanvsFood it’s ridiculously expensive. And for the Sam guy that says Lao people don’t live in these apartments because they prefer houses… he’s wrong. Lao people can’t live in these apartments because they can’t afford it. They would live in them if it was reasonably priced to what the people there are able to afford with a prominent job…

    • @kingjeyyy
      @kingjeyyy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DanvsFood please do make a video regarding this topic. I’d also liked to know the reason why such a place is so far out of reach for many locals. I understand this is “luxury,” but you’d think it’d still be in the range affordable by locals with respectable jobs, right? Guess not.

    $300 per month? That's more cheaper than my $1200 studio apartment in Seattle, WA USA. The reason is more affordable in Laos is because there's no job. No big international companies like Starbucks, Microsoft, Toyota, Honda, BMW, etc.
