I just hate that they barely included the downshifting sounds of cars.almost all the gear change were upshifts.thought that almost the case in all of movies with car racing/chase but,come on where are the downshifts and backfires

Need for Speed movie is much better than the whole Fast & Furious. Love the backsound, engine, cinematography, and the cars. No excessive stunt, pure street racing.

Great editing. This has to be the only video game based movie that stayed true to the filming style of the original game. People hated this movie when it came out because it wasn’t another Fast and Furious. The film style they used in the NFS games is on another level and you can tell these people are huge car enthusiasts. Also, one of Michael Keaton’s most underrated roles.
Only thing they got wrong were the cockpit views, because they don't exist in NFS games lol

This is a very narrow road and it's the Veyron Super Sport which is better around a track. Not as good as a sesto or Agera but is still decent
If you have enough acceleration it doesn't matter if you hafta stop for every curve
This feels like NFS Hot Pursuit and I love it
I love this race, it makes a great tribute to the first generation of need for speed videogames, even though I would have liked the race's pursuit to be something more hot pursuit style 2010, I mean, in a few words, a more intense pursuit than there was in the movie.
The race seems inspired by both Hot pursuit 2 for the PS2 and the new one
2010 would have been the most insane movie
It even has some locations from NFSs Hot Pursuit reboot, like that cool-looking forest closer to the end

Sesto Elemento may be extremely fast even in supercar no hypercar territory but please do remember well the Sesto Elemento has 562 HP and weight 999KG, the Agera has 1030 HP and 1435 KG which is way way way faster than the Lambo.
A 436 KG weight advantage is not enough to upset a 468 HP disadvantage

Funny how the sound effects are so mixed up the Agera R would sometimes make a sound of a straight cut gears, sometimes a CCX supercharged V8 then back to its actual sound while the Sesto Elemento sometimes like a Lexus V10, the P1 a formula 1 and the Bugatti an old warplane

edit: when they used that Charger as ram; given the "speed", those cars would make 60+meters per second. given the launch speed of PD charger i seriously doubt they could pull it off like that .

The closing speeds on the cars with that school bus are comedically slow compared to what they would be in real life. Those cars would be FLYING past you.

I feel like the makers of this movie really understood and liked the games. It's full of stuff that I got to know from the games and loved. The Dodge Charger SRT8 police cars are in Most Wanted (2012), the forest level with tall trees is a recurring scene in the games at least since Hot Pursuit 2. I love this movie.

When the bugatti crashed I felt bad and until the end I almost cried with emotion when I won and this video reminds me of my childhood I saw this movie with my cousins... I almost cried this movie is my favorite and I still see it to date.
That in cockpit view camera is actually really cool. I wish more driving movies used it.
