    Killer review as always, Mike! You guys are crushing it and we're stoked to be working with your shop! And we hear you about the plastic sleeve that wraps the cable.. trust me, it hurts us too. We're hoping to have that replaced by a recyclable paper sleeve by the end of the year and then we'll be fully paper based!

  • @tomerttb
    @tomerttb 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I use it on my XC racing bike.
    It is a very nice lever made of good quality! but far from perfect.
    1) It is heavy.
    2) Using I-spec2 the adapter is unnecessary wide taking a lot of critical real-estate from the handlebar.
    3) You can't fit another lever on the right side (If you use it on your left) for example for fork lockout. This isn't an issue if you use Shimano shifter for example.
    3) Package does not come with a cable end!, That's a small issue but super annoying when you finish installation (Very easy to install!) and than find out that you are not done and needs to go to the store.

    • @TheLostCo
      @TheLostCo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      1) a few grams extra for it to feel smooth now and for a long time is worth it.
      2) We don't really ever recommend integrating dropper levers with Shimano brakes because the levers are so short.
      3) We don't really ever see anybody use remote lockouts on their bars, so this is generally not an issue.
      4) That is absolutely correct and there should be a cable tip!!

    • @kentquindt7898
      @kentquindt7898 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mine came with a cable crimp... Maybe they forgot to stick one in or you lost it... I put a red one on to match my frame though because I will make everything I can red.

  • @Erafune
    @Erafune 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Got Xbrand Ascend dropper and that thing takes foooorce to activate. The lever "bending away" from the thumb doesn't help getting the leverage with the thumb.
    Wonder if this would make a difference. Can't justify an upgrade like that for more than 30$, unless the old lever brakes down completely.
    Also got a dropper post on my 3rd bike, by a brand called "One" I cannot find online, with a light activation stroke.
    Dropper posts definitely need a "Nm required to activate" stat in their specs.

  • @Pienimusta

    • @TheLostCo
      @TheLostCo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @Pienimusta
      @Pienimusta 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheLostCo Been using it with Canyon's Iridium dropper, which has been good enough, especially for the price. The V2 feels solidly built and the bearing feels smooth.

    • @trickyrickymtb5622
      @trickyrickymtb5622 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The oneup feels smooth, but don't like the angle of trajectory, feels like you have to push down and forward. The Loam feels natural.

  • @Yhigma
    @Yhigma 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Looks cool, I'd ride it, but not worth $70. My wolftooth works well snow, rain, or sunshine. I always ride w/ gloves, so not sure how the two compare without.

  • @peaohvee1784

    my x fusion dropper lever works. and has more angle adjustment. IMO, this is an example of unnecessary stuff. Good to buy if there's nothing else to upgrade. Just don't run the stock FOx lever(the inline one) that thing will cut your knee open
