Istanbul Istiklal : walking tour in Ramadan

Istiklal Street is a popular street located between Tunel Square and Taksim Square in the Beyoglu district of Istanbul. A street that has retained its title as Turkey's most popular street from the late 19th century to the present day.Istiklal Street is crowded at almost any time of the day, with the exception of the early morning hours. From world famous brands to outlets selling cheap clothes, the street today is mostly a collection of clothing stores in terms of shopping. The rest is made up of banks and restaurants, ranging from fast food buffets that cater to almost every taste and budget, to global restaurant chains and traditional tastes such as seafood restaurants, pudding restaurants, dessert shops and pastry shops. For nightlife entertainment there is a wide range of options. The street is also home to many cultural venues such as theatres, cinemas, bookstores and art galleries.
From 1869 to 1966, the tram in Istanbul was first horse-drawn and then electric. The tram was put into service again under the name "Nostalgia Tram" between Taksim and Tunel.
