    Thank you for such a lovely tutorial. I've been avoiding blocking but will definitely give this a go - you're a very good teacher!

      Thank you for your lovely comment! It made my day :) I'm not a big fan of blocking myself but I can certainly see the benefits once it's done. xD I hope you give it a try. I'd love to see what you make.

    Thank you so much for posting this! I've purchased the materials to make one but been very intimidated about actually making one. This makes it seem much easier😊

      How exciting! 🥳 It's not too bad. Just be careful with the drill when you get started. I didn't have much experience using it so it was a bit daunting. If you can try on a scrap piece of wood so you can get used to it. Once you get the hang of it it's really easy. Please share your finished board, I'd love to see it! 🎉

      Hahaha! It's actually quite handy to have a scissor stand so I've told myself it was part of the design from the beginning. 🤣

    im terrible with measuring and lining things up so I printed out a 1.5 cm graph lined paper and taped it to my board.

    Thank you!! Beautiful squares! Do you drill through the board. I guess I am wondering do pegs hit wood or should they go through?

    • @quayrosehandmade
      @quayrosehandmade  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! 😊 They do hit the wood. My chopping board was 2cm thick so I drilled about 1.5cm deep. The pegs sit fairly stable that way and you can move the board around if you need to.

    Hello my squares even after blocking almost return to its orginal form, what to do?

    • @quayrosehandmade
      @quayrosehandmade  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! Sorry for not replying earlier. Depending on the yarn you've used you could try steam blocking. Once I attached all my squares I did a light steam block just in case. I used acrylic yarn on my blanket so I went over it with my iron on the steam setting making sure to put a damp towel over it to avoid heating it too much. I hope this helps.

    Hello! Belgium here 😊. I want to make this for my wife. She makes 10 cm by 10 cm squares . Is there a reason why you put the needles 1.5 cm's apart? I'm a total noob, so sorry iff this is a weird question😁🤷🏻‍♂️. Thx in advance 👍🏻.

    • @quayrosehandmade
      @quayrosehandmade  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lorenz! Thank you for your comment! 🤗🥳 To be honest, 15mm just seemed the right spacing for my requirements. When was planning it, I did noticed that other boards ranged between 7.5mm to 15mm. I think you should be OK changing the spacing to fit your wife needs. 🙂 I hope it comes out great! Please tag me once you've made it. I'd love to see it. 🥰
