Fantastic idea! I’m handy with the drill the hammer and all that so I’ll give it a go I was planning on making granny squares of beginning of next summer with my leftover yarn. I’ll stretch them on the board like this.

That's a great design - especially the diagonal lines with smaller gapes between the holes. I've always wondered why blocking boards all have holes that are so far apart. You are inspiring. Thanks for a great video

Think the holes are far apart because the wood is weakened by drilling holes in it, if they're too close the board can easily break. Though having some holes closer together can be really useful for blocking purposes, I definitely wouldn't recommend making the whole board with really small gaps though. It's possible to glue the wood back together if it does break, but I imagine the people selling them would get a lot of complaints if the boards arrive broken or break within a few uses.

That would be awesome! Good luck and have fun! I love my board. Thinking about making more but I might end up with a board problem (like my yarn stash problem!)😂

You’re welcome! I always hated using my foam squares and pins. This is so much better! And prettier!

That’s awesome! I like to do these things more than my husband. He always looks at me like I’m crazy wondering what I’m doing haha
