Totally agree. Most other airlines have the brand on a white fuselage with a bit a fluff on the tail, and the brand colours on the engine cowlings if you are lucky. What other plane could you blank out the name, turn the photo to black and white, and still instantly know what it is?
Anchorage! My old home. Lived there for 11 years and flew out of “Uncle” Ted Steven’s Anchorage International Airport. Even worked as an agent for the dominant airline there, and also worked for the handle company that managed the transient air cargo ramp across from concourse C.
At first, I hated the Condor stripes. But now, they're catchy. I would give them a try anytime. However, I would take a 747 or A340 flight any time, regardless of lounge, seat or any other factor. There's just certain aircraft out there that I love to fly on and those two legends are at the top of the food chain for me.
Never knew this route existed, granted I did see Eurowings A330 at the North terminal in ANC with lots of tourists. I think this is a solid route and the fact that it was 2 hot meals vs a hot meal and a lil snack😂.
The next time you flight through FRA on Star Alliance, you gotta check out the AIr Canada Maple Leaf Lounge's shower. The water pressure coming down from the rain shower is just incredible, total waste of water kind of indulgence!
Great flight review. Every review of Condor that I've seen has been positive. The food looked pretty good too, and I think it was well worth that extra cost for the front row seats. Safe travels 🥂
Thanks for this excellent content. If the flight's still running, I want to make the Condor flight from Frankfurt to Whitehorse, YT, Canada. That seems remarkable to me because Whitehorse is a small town in the middle of nowhere.
Back in January we were on a family vacation at a villa just outside of Montego Bay. Every afternoon my nieces would laugh (Red stripe does that to them) at the funny looking plane with the bright colored hoops. Fast forward a few months and next years trip is booked, flying from Vegas to Seattle to Frankfurt. Why thruogh Seattle, well i'm paying for 10 people going through Seattle is half the price of the direct flight, so yeah, we are going through Seattle. When I pointed out that we would be flying on the airline with the funny hoops there was a little bit of resistance, but A, I don't care and B, videos like yours shows why Condor is leagues ahead of LH, so thank you.
Great review. I also like the stripes. I would like to try Condor, and think is is preferable to most of LH's business class configurations. However, with DEN as my home airport its not exactly ideal. If I book business from DEN, the domestic legs are always in economy. I realize this is the leisure model, but if I am booking business, I personally want it on all legs. I know I could do separate positioning flights, but I like the lower risk of one itinerary.
Since I think you like plane spotting I know that your video showed some of the many freighters that stop in PANC for fuel and crew changes. In addition to the North America/Asia flights the Asia/Europe freighters are stopping there or Fairbanks as well due to the Russia airspace embargo. FedEx and UPS have mini-hubs there as well. Presuming you stayed in Anchorage you passed the world’s largest seaplane base (Lake Hood) as you exited the airport. AK is rich with aviation history.
Patrick--where did u find the background music for your y-tube video? I make mixes like that from y-tube sources when I fly, since vocal music is harder to enjoy with family sitting next to you, in case they wish to talk to you over the music you are enjoying.
k so i like stripes but sometimes it feels like a design cop out, the way Lagerfeld infamously said that sweatpants are a sign of defeat. but i digress. tbh i don't mind the stripes as a motif or an accent but the in-yo-face jailbird livery is just not my cuppa. bluetooth in IFE is a stand out and should be a standard in all planes IMO. bet you were a happy camper with the multiple plated meal service (the salt & pepper plane!! #toocute)
Great video. Just a nitpick: your overcast wasn’t over the Aleutians-those islands are south and west of Anchorage. But your description of Condor’s services and the route was on point. I really enjoyed watching this flight to my home town.
19:55, Why you choose not to sleep on a plane on a daytime flight? On a long haul 10 to 12 hour daytime flight, some passengers, including me on the plane.
Condor has a seasonal flight from Phoenix to Frankfurt, the only non-stop to the continent except for a recently added Air France flight to Paris. American has seasonal service to London and British Airways daily service, which I flew in '17. I've only flown Lufthansa twice, 737 service to and from Bologna Italy in '95 though I have flown other International carriers, my first ever was a British Caledonian BAC-111 from Gatwick to Amsterdam. The Condor striped livery would never confuse a Zebra, that is for sure!
"Germany's BEST AIRLINE in BUSINESS CLASS to ALASKA" - The Business Class in the Condor A330neo might be better than the Business Class in most Lufthansa planes (with the exception of the planes with the new Allegris cabin), but in all other travel classes Condor is clearly worse than Lufthansa. Economy is much better on Lufthansa and Condor Premium Economy is a joke compared to Lufthansa Premium Economy. And of course there is no First Class at all with Condor.
Frankfurt is the worst and most chaotic airport that I have ever experienced. Also, my first time seeing TONS of people trying to cut the line to go through border because of how poorly structured the border control lines are. I avoid it at all cost.
Russia sold Alaska to the USA. America did not just move in on Alaska. Whitehorse is in the Yukon a Canadian Territory not a province yet. Do some homework next time.

Didnt knew Condor flew to Alaska, that's so cool
I love the informative nature of your videos.
Thanks!
Nice video. Condor's business class seat is even better than Lufthansa's :)

Dude this is sooooo cool! I love your videos and the unique routes you take!
The livery looks like old-fashioned European prison garb. But then the Germans were never known for good taste. 😂
I loved the extra y'alls in this video. 🤣 A great report yet again
Ha... thanks man!
Well, I can now hold my own in a discussion about Condors thanks to you!
I've flown Condor Buisness class from SFO to FrankFurt and the Buisness class was nice

The screens are touch!
Well if they were then mine was broken...
Thank you for sharing your trip. Haha😅 You made me laugh about the food at the Lufthansa Lounge.😅 You had some great food with a great beer! Yes!😊
Your flight looked really nice. Those pictures onboard looking at the seat were so nice as well.😊
Ha! Definitely! Thanks!
I love the Condor stripe brand refresh. Otherwise the old identity was a budget Lufthansa
They also were an off-brand Thomas Cook for a while too
Yup, love the stripes too.

I've heard great things about the Maple Leaf Lounges. Unfortunately I don't believe Condor gets access to those lounges
wonderful flight review Patrick.Condor really make a difference in destinations.
Absolutely! Thank you!
Good review. I found the history of Condor very interesting.
I felt this wonderful feeling in my mind, body and soul when she said “I prefer kislux

Definitely! Thanks! It's a great choice now when I'm on a route of theirs
what a great video! The seat and food looks pretty good. Haven't flow with Condor yet, but hope to soon :)
Condor is one of the best arline I ever flown!
Thanks for the info + video!
Thanks!
Excellent video, thanks

It looks like that route (as well as Fairbanks) were retired with the 767s. I wonder if they'll look to add it as they grow the fleet
great video again, thanks man!

Smart and very timely move purchasing A330. Was hoping you’d share what the fare was (before a paid upgrade)… thanks for another great review
Ooppps just heard you mentioning at the end
Yep! I also throw that info in the description of each video

WHY was it discouraged to use the forward lavatory?
I really enjoy the vast information you provide. Always well done in a clear voice.
Hideous poker chip livery aside, I've heard nothing but good things about Condor.
Ha... its "unique" we can say lol
”plenty” - a lot, much, wealth of, abundance of, many, plethora of. There’s just a few. PLENTY to choose from.
Hoops not stripes?
Fair enough... but inside the airplane I'd call them stripes at least
Germany's Discover Airlines also flies to ANC.
Terrible airline, terrible staff, only 18 year old TikTok girls, huge safety issue

Great video as always Patrick but I’m sorry that lounge food 😮were you blocked up for days

How did you upgrade your seats with just $300?
The $300 is to upgrade to the front row from the regular business class seats which includes the extra space and extra amenities
Crazy that you had topay $300 to be upgraded to bulkhead. Hope it was worth it
OMG that TV flashes like CRAZY 😭😭😭 that’s why I much prefer airlines to install brighter LCD displays than OLED
Fire the strip person who came up with all that.!
It's Air Beetlejuice
Ha! yes!

Interesting. This was my first time with Condor, so I can't speak to their other levels of service

Condor lost me with the absolute dogshit service I received every single time I flew them in the past.
Annoying, Distracting and unnecessary background music. Had to stop watching
Womp womp
I didn't even notice the background music. There must be something wrong with your perception. Maybe you forgot to take your tablets.... What a mimosa
The accent is on "Luft".
