- This week I went through a little nightmare - my iPhone would not charge again. I tried everything that I found on the internet and that I summarized in my first 3 things to try.
Then I went to the Apple Store. The Apple Technician fixed my phone within seconds. Magic!
In this video, I show what the Apple technician did. If you end up trying this "magic trick" as well, know that it is at your OWN RISK. I call it a magic trick because I could not find any reference on the internet and it worked like magic.

wow you mad? hes right by the way. When it states that its "Accessory Not Supported" it means you are using a third party charger not supported. It has to do with the Software updates on the iPhone and the software check on the power adapter you dumbfuck....Before calling people stupid or dumb fucks. Make sure you did your reading, crossed the T's, dotted the I's and you carried the 1. Cause 2+2=5...thats how fucking dumb you sounded.

I have been playing with my charging cable position for about a month because the Iphone 6 kept clicking in and out of charging. I was getting ready to replace the charging port when I followed step 1 from this video and blew out the lint and dust. A small cloud came out of the port and now it charges like new! Thanks for the tip!

I have the best solution. This is going to sound weird but is the best method, lick the end of the cord that goes into the phone on the pins, this will act as a conductor of the charge causing it to charge more

Did you ever find a way to fix it?
Sounds like faulty battery. If you have apple care they will replace it. Go to settings and I think in general there is battery health percentage.
If you have a blow dryer heat it on the back of the phone for about a minute then it should work again
I did the magic trick and it worked, i thought since i got my iPhone for free it doesn't harm if i tried the trick myself. Thanks dude.

I pressed the button immediately before inserting the usb cord and quickly pull up on the usb cable (on base near the port) . Don't be afraid to try a lot, because the first or second time it just works. Prior to that I was jerking the cable hard, up and down and wrapping the cord around the phone when it turned to green to make sure it would stay green long enough to charge.
And before you do it the right way as described in the video, you might want to poke the around the holes for debris, just in case that's enough. But after that don't worry about damaging your phone if your desperate like I was. My phone took a beating! I can't see any use in buying a new iphone 8 and I can't afford it.

1:44 this method actually fixed my iPhone 7+. I squeezed the port myself (didn't Bring it to Apple). It must have pushed the pins that were off back into alignment again. I never would have guessed this one -- thanks!

I was almost thinking replacing the lightning port or getting a new phone but I just picked out all the built up gunk in the port that’s been pressed in over the 4 years I’ve had my phone. Plugging in my charging cable feels like new again

I have a six foot cord and it charges for only a few minutes and then says it’s charging but it stays on the same percent and even goes down while the lightning charge symbol is on. The Apple cord still works for my phone, but I need the six foot one to work because the Apple one is too small

That happened to my iphone and I got a new charger and it didn't work either
This also could happen if the iPhone builds up dust in the charging dock so blow it out or get a cotton swab and take it out but don’t push it further it gets worse then. It works about 75% of the time.Also if your sound. Quality is bad probably bc that has a lot of dust in it. I recommend a case that covers the charging dock but still makes it accessible

Thanks! Looks like I had a build up of lint in my charging port. Used a small paintbrush with soft bristles to clean it out.

It was a little spot of lint or something in my socket that prevented the plug from fully seating in, a tiny brush dislodged it and it is charging now

Here’s how I fixed mine. I took a toothpick and dipped it in rubbing alcohol, then tried to clean my charging port that way. The alcohol helps stink to the debris. Hoped this helped.

Instead of holding down the home button and power button, try holding down the home button and the button to lower your volume. I did this and it helped :)
