    Hi Rachel, awesome vid. I’ve seen that you’re using an old gen Mac as so do I. Do you have lag and overheat esp. when doing gmeet and figma at the same time. Also how heavy is after effect? I’m interested on learning it

    • @rachelhow
      @rachelhow  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Jodie! I live in Malaysia, it's pretty hot here (26-32°C), so the laptop is always heating, I'm used to it.
      Sometimes the laptop throttles the speed to protect itself from overheating, hence the lag when using heavy apps.
      Fan blowing loudly on Gmeet / Zoom is normal to me. It's able to handle Figma + After Effects, no problem so far.
      Just make sure you have at least 16GB of RAM so the application doesn't crash.

    Hi Rachel, would you say that Figma alone is enough if you want to become a product designer?
    What other softwares will i need to use?

    • @rachelhow
      @rachelhow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you've just started, Figma is the best tool (in my opinion) for product design. You can then learn Adobe After Effects if you want to create Lottie animations for digital interfaces (Lottiefiles.com). For user research, you will eventually pick up those skills at your full time job - eg. Maze, Hotjar or any tool your company uses.

      Hi there! The short answer is no, you don't need to learn CSS/HTML/JS or any code. But you do need to know (roughly) what is technically possible and what is not. Long answer is here: th-cam.com/video/NZZgEsjH4OQ/w-d-xo.html
