Undoing the vac lines just made the recirc valve you just installed void .it's the vac lines that open and close the valve as you release the throttle and the noise you hear is the air in the turbo hitting the blades and will eventually smash your core to bits. Leave it all hooked up as it's all attached to the boost selonoids and they control when the actuator opens which is why your not holding boost

ive put a turbo smart recirc valve in ive replaced all vac lines and im still only holding 5 psi boost any idea on what else it could be??

Dont be daft mines been like that for over a year and my turbo is fine

Cut down an old 5mm Allen key it’s so much easier

Would need proper bung/blank instead of just removing the vac line to make sure it weren’t leaking boost (which it was from your description at the end there) or a one way valve so that it would have pressure on the valve to keep it forced shut a bit better.
What spring did you put in it?

Hi, is it save to switch my standard recirc valve to the forge recirc without getting error codes/motor management light or limp mode? My car is original, not tuned (yet)
Just plug and play with the green spring?

Yes but don't use the stronger spring, there will be instructions to tell you how to set up
