  • This video is how I installed my Radar detector in my 2021 Toyota Sienna using the accessory plug in the headliner using an oem plug.
The plug I purchased is here:

This is perfect.....Ordered exactly the parts you identified.....assembled using three wire install...and it worked perfectly for parking mode on my new Blackvue 4K dash cam. Saves me from running another long wire, and dinking around the fuse box in my brand new 2021 Sienna. NOTE1: Make sure you push those pins as far into connector as they will smoothly go. You should see the edge of the insulation from onto with connector clip removed (see NOTE 2) NOTE2: There is a clip on the toyota connector that needs to be removed carefully and reinstalled evenly once the pins are laid in there. I ultimately figured it out vs trying to install the pin by pushing into connector from back, just make sure the retaining clip slides straight down and is properly retained so it will properly retain the pins.....and I wish I had a 2.54mm crimp tool (not part of my normal automotive tool kit, and not cheap to find a good one)...but a small needle nose allowed me to do an acceptable crimp on the pin - take your time. I found that NOT DISCONNECTING pin from the rack it comes in helped hold it steady while I crimped it this way..Crimp the insulation wings first...then remove the pin once you have the insulation crimp done...then finish the other conductor crimp. I suggest you practice on a spare pin/wire before doing actual crimp this way. Remember to do a pull test on the installed wire to make sure you got the pins captured correctly - give it a good tug so you know you have the pin oriented correctly and the retaining tang is gripped properly. You dont want it to dislodge when you assemble the connectors or rattle loose over time. Thank you so much for your work to post this.

My Rear view mirror camera has only one black and one red wire - there is no third or white wire - so just use the black and pink slot ??

Thanks, I instead bought a Subaru H501SSG010 which is already wired to another connector. Just cut that in half and didn't have to deal with the pins

Does the dashcam drain the car battery when wired to be on at all times?

When you turn off the vehicle, does your dashcam still get power supply?

@@smartmeatball use the black wire on the car for your ACC (most likely the red wire on your dash cam) this will keep the dash cam on even when you turn it off, the pink cable is the one that turns off the dash cam when you turn off the car, the white wire with black stripe is where the black cable on your camera connects to. Hope that answers your question.
Btw, I just used T taps on the wires where you can buy from auto shops instead of buying the housing connectors which is less than $4 but the shipping cost more than the actual item.

For led lights, I believe you just need to replace those original bulbs to led bulbs. I watched a video of that before.
