    Absolutely the best pick for the military. The P320 platform has grown to become a customizer's dream. My favorite.

    I own Sig Sauer M18 for about a year and 9 months I have sent 4200 rounds through it with no problem whatsoever. I put on talon grips and the makes it perfect for me. What surprised me is u said a glock has a better trigger 😳. M18 it has such a smooth trigger. Nice video and thanks for your review.

    Ive carried the P320 for several years now. I traded a Glock17 a Beretta Nano and a Beretta tomcat for it even swap. I know that in terms of even I got ripped but for me the P320 is a much better firearm. The feel of the grip is perfect and the trigger OMG I love it.

    When I served I concluded that military grade meant reliable and servicable but not Cadillac level.

      I have a xmacro and debating on swapping to the m18 for conceal carry. I don’t enjoy shooting the xmacro that much. Is it concealable? I’ve been looking for someone like you with both.

    Military grade really just means it was built and tested to a collection of very specific requirements for performance and reliability. In some cases the military environmental stress screening will include highly accelerated life testing (HALT) to test those features that are most critical. Some of that rigor goes out the window with certain commercial off-the-shelf procurements. But if you can get a product that has been formally qualified against a set of military specifications that is a good thing.

      @gutWrench9mm ปีที่แล้ว

      I can say with an AR 15 military spec means to bolt carrier group have to be magnetic particle inspected and shot peened. A lot of civilian rifles are batch tested. Meaning it is more possible for less than perfect parts in blemishes and shit.

    I also have the M18 p320. Love shooting it. My biggest complaint is the optic ready configuration plate. It has a DP fooprint but you loose the rear sight by adding an electronic optic unless you add additional aftermarket accessories.

    • @AaronGraves
      @AaronGraves 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sig's Romeo X Pro has integrated rear sights, and cowitnesses with the standard height front sight, so you can have back up irons with that red dot. Obviously doesn't help you much if you want to go with a different optic, but there are options. Even the Delta Point Pro can have rear irons, though it'll require you to get a really really tall front sight.

  • @billbaker3565

    Thanks for the detailed review. Considering the wide range of users it is intended for, SIG had to make some compromises in the design. Sounds like a good issue sidearm.

    Military grade, might not be the best, but it's tested and was ran against glock and Beretta, so I'll go with something that's tested against it's peers and won, over just a name (glock)!

    • @ggrandcz
      @ggrandcz ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, SIG was not tested that much against its peers. Look it up.

    • @DarthSmittyTheWise
      @DarthSmittyTheWise ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ggrandcz doesn't matter, when Sig offered everything the military asked for, if you don't like the grip, you can swap it out, don't like the slide, swap it out. Sig are great straight out the box. Glock are below average out the box, most people will spend what the gun is worth on aftermarket parts, just to compete with the Sig!

    • @ggrandcz
      @ggrandcz ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DarthSmittyTheWise Bla bla bla. Beretta did not even enter to testing. So SIG won but not based on test results but mainly based on price. Which I understand - difference was huge. Pistol is just secondary weapon and to be honest SIG is good enought for that role (any modern pistol is). But you cannot say it was tested against its peers because it was not.
      I agree that with SIG you get more for your money.

  • @dam00k
    @dam00k 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    This was chosen and designed as a duty gun, not a concealed carry. A person would have to be morbidly obese to keep that grip from printing. It’s the most modular format I’ve seen with the trigger group serialized instead of the grip module (and even the trigger itself can be swapped). I won’t reholster with a live round in the chamber without a thumb safety engaged, that’s just a thing with me. If someone carries a G19, G17, 320 or 509 comfortably this would probably be a good fit but those are all service size weapons for most people. I think more people concealed carry G26/27, 509C, FNS9C or M&P. I’d roll with P938 myself for EDC unless I could reasonably expect an extended firefight.
    For home or road trip protection this paired with a wet modular suppressor (no piston required) would be a nice set up. I gotta say, I love the trigger and factory sights on this, it’s a tack driver for me.

    These days "Military Grade" means it was built by the low bidder, let's walk in the truth.
    As far as the M-18 goes, I carry a P-320 Compact in .45 ACP, shoot it a lot, and have for about a year. The only mod is a Talon 'pro-texture' grip (which gets replaced every few months due to wear). It's a great pistol... right up there with my CZs and M&P 2.0 with Apex trigger. It's reliable as an anvil, light, and easy to shoot well. The Sig-Lite night sights are nice too. 9 times out of 10 it's what's on me.

  • @steven3379

    @Baconator Doom, as were the rest of the military guns.. Colt, Beretta... Am I wrong? If it is as you say, does that make it subpar?

    • @baconatordoom
      @baconatordoom ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope. Not subpar. Just not the best or better because of the moniker "military grade". (Subjective). Military grade means, made by the lowest bidder. Meaning it gets the job done at the lowest cost possible. And if it breaks or don't work. It can be replaced cheaply. The first set of M18/17's were dumped on the surplus market. That's because it was easier to buy all new ones instead of shipping them all back in for their "safety" upgrades then ship them back out for redeployment. Even though they got the upgrades before being sold on the surplus market. That is the very essence of "Military grade".
