Hey bong Srey! I have a question for you. If I have left over fermented fish from the mam lahong, could I add more dried veggies to it to make more mam lahong? and how would you do that? My Yeh gave me some mam lahong and I want to make it last longer but don't want to ruin the current mam lahong I have.

Hi oun, it depends on how much you have left and the ratio you want to add the fresh papaya. You might get by if there's enough to coat all the papaya. Make sure the papaya is dry when you add it and add a little bit at a time to see how much you actually have to coat the papaya. I guarantee you that it'll come out right but I have tried it before and only because the one that someone gave to me was too salty and I needed to sour it down. Good luck if you still want to attempt it.

Hi, when you fermented the shrimp, is it normal for it to smell like rotten egg after 3 or 4 days? That’s what mine smells like. I’m not sure if I did it right.

It’s supposed to smell but not sure if it smelled like rotten egg. Did all the shrimps turn orange like cooked shrimp? If so, the. It should be fine.
