I have met Alex, and knew him through high school as his son went to the same school. He was a character beyond words, and I once met Neil's cousin, while I was reading Ghost Rider...out of the blew she saw me reading HIS book, and asked me what I thought of it! I told her how valuable that book was for anyone who had lost someone, irony, and when she told me who she was, it polarized me in that moment, one I never forgot!!! Last year, a friend of Neil's gave me one of his drum sticks. It was from a 2008 concert in Canada - I feel so honoured to have it, and the stories it could tell, only one could imagine.....

Its great to see this amazing man come out of his shell at this point of his career and share his experiences. He's done more press in the last 5 years than in the rest of years Rush has been together combined!! Its great to see. He has a wealth of life lessons to share. Good and horrible..
Geddy wants to keep playing. He can't sing like the 70s but still real good. Neil wanted to come off road and spend time with wife and daughter. He is also battling being able to physically endure a tour as his drumming is exhausting. Alex has arthritic hands and is really starting to feel it. They are still open to doing fresh music and maybe an individual show every now and then. Hoping and praying.
Even if someone isn't a huge Rush fan for whatever reason, it's safe to say that these guys were serious musicians with serious talent but remained down to earth, humble, regular guys throughout their career. No egomania running wild, just 3 guys working as a unit and putting out the best music they could. Thank you Rush, for everything !

i had the rare pleasure of meeting neil. while out riding. he is a real nice guy into bikes. and a great sence of humor. his books are a credit to humanity. just as a person looking past the drums. is as good of a person as an entertainer. i can say going thru a simular loss. he is a very strong indicidual

He doesn’t hate fans and he appreciates the accolades bestowed upon him by them. He doesn’t set out to be rude or mean. I love this group, this man and their music. Nothing but magic comes out of these three guys and Neil? Man! This guy's seen more tragedy in his life than the average guy could handle and I watched this video and see him with this great attitude. Unreal. God bless these guys.
Met him by chance at a motorcycle dealer in Quebec and we chatted for a bit but just as riders-I had no idea who he was. He teased me for not having much mileage on my bike. It’s only when I got to the shop counter and the service guy told me who he was. RIP Neil.

Simply the most genuine, kind, and sweet man to have touched so many lives. I have loved his work and who he is all my life. His old drum kit resides in the percussion museum in Indianapolis- I highly recommend a visit there for any drummers or percussion enthusiasts out there. He was the very best.

I’ve been listening to Neil’s isolated drum tracks. Just amazing detailed drumming! Lots of extra drum taps missed by being covered up by the other instruments. Just incredible drumming!

I was so taken off guard when I heard of his passing i am still kind of in disbelief. This man taught me lots on drums one of my mentors for sure!

Grew up 10 miles away from where these guys did. Born in same town as Neil. Makes me feel a tiny bit special. So what if about 400,000 other people can say the same, still does make me feel that way. RIP Neil. You had some tragedy in your life, too much, but I have faith you are being rewarded now for all the solace you gave to all the misfits in the mass production zone.
