Steering within shallow channels along the coast
Well explained
Island hopping summer & dolphin watching vacation begins
Looked rough going, thanks for showing the new anchorages on your trip, nice to hear your verdict on them
@@ritamcgearty2954 Thanks Rita, yeah it was fairly bouncy alright, holding the camera steady was not easy 😂
I was delighted to find 2 new to us anchorage spots to try out. Always handy to have an arsenal of safe places to stop off if needed. The anchorage north of Rooney point we mentioned in previous video looks interesting too
Enjoyed that little sail you need to buy John a good set of sailing gloves for Christmas, he looked very cold at the end there.
@@sailingsheriff3349 he has fingerless sailing gloves. Just wasn’t wearing them. He (like me )sail in multiple layers of clothing . He sits behind the sprayhood to keep out of the wind most of the time.
We never go close in down there because of the pots and we stay in the outer channel near Lucifer bank. I have never seen Tuskar rock from so far inshore 😄 Good job getting started so early. I hate cold, grey, early starts!
@@beverleyportlock9680 we normally do the outer banks aswell. Just the wind angle had us in so tight to shore. Pots were surprisingly lighter than usual going down the coast. Just around Roslare to Carnesore was heavy with pots especially Roslare to splaugh had tiny markers which was scary
You both looked rather cold bbrrr...
I too sleep in my life jacket on night shifts if the weather dictates, or certainly right next to the campionway to grab if not.
Joy of Irish sailing 🤭 keep the damp and wind out there is chance of not being cold
😂 fun side of John peeping out
@@yvonneosullivan419 he’s starting to relax on camera finally
