- On our mission to find the best tattoo tips, tricks and techniques, we visited Peter Murray at Swallow the Anchor in Liverpool to learn all about creating neo-traditional tattoos.
Peter took us through his process as he inked this vibrant nature-themed neo-trad piece of a kingfisher among flowers for his client.
Have a look at the video to see how Peter works!

What did the client say what tattoo he wanted and then how much did you put your own stamp on the design?
Good job, i am just curious for diameter, for kwadron 7rs it must be 0.35, for 9 straight sure is 0.35, but what about 19 curved magnum? And if we can get that taper for 19 round magnum, medium? long? that would be awesome, thanks for video killerink!
Hey, the 7rs, 9rs and 19 curved magnum are all 0.35mm, the mag is also medium taper. For the full list of supplies Peter used, skip to 47:16! Thanks for the watch 😊🙌
@@KillerInkTattooEU Oh yeah, now i see, thanks for that, very helpful! 9 straight liner*
One of the best video, this is gold !! Thank you so much.
Did i hear correctly you used a lower voltage (5.4volts) with the 9rl than with the tight 3 (8 volts?) How are you getting such saturated lines pulled so fast with a larger grouping? I feel like i have to increase voltage the larger the grouping. Thank you for taking the time to create such an informative video, its awesome 👏
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks so much for watching! ❤
He's using artisan Dan kubin machine
What is the after care pad (tattoo armor style)he wrappes around the leg? He tell something that you can get it on Amazon, but i didnt understand the name of it and it's not on the supplies list at the very end of the video. Thanks and i am looking forward to more Videos like that ❤
it is just a second skin
@@donz2trappy455 😂
I'm pretty sure he said it was a puppy pad
Puppy pad - the one that is used for dogs to pee and poop on it….
quick question what's the name of that flower. thanks
What lotion he put on after the tattoo?
Hey, Peter uses a Butterluxe lotion 😊
👍🙂
Why doesn't pink get dirty from green?
How do you sterilise the stainless tips?
Hey, Peter uses an autoclave! 😊
Did he say 5.4 volts for lining? And he likes to move fast with a 9rl I don't get it. 😵
Diferent machines were used for Diferent neadles. Each machine moves and hits Diferent
@projekttatuaz7969 I asked my mentor, and he did explain s down the that and how the artist likes to work.
what machine is it ?!
Hey, skip to 47:16 for a full list of the supplies Peter has used including his machines 😊
tangerine from which brand ?
Hey, Eternal Ink! You can find a full list of the supplies Peter used at 47:16 😊
@@KillerInkTattooEU thank you so much 🙂

Yes Peter is one of our sponsored artists 😊
Great informative videos, but Jesus christ the elevator music is painful 😂
Step one... Touch the tip of the bottle directly into the skin
But no seriously, dope video thank you
Thank you for watching! 🙌🏻
Cool tattoo would of been better if it was facing the right way
I dont wanna be that guy but his arm is all over the tattoo
Anyway he sticked the stencil solution on freshly shaved skin. Beautiful example of cross contamination. People can be the best artist in the world if it ain’t safe where is the point ?!
One let’s not forget how this started yes the greats fought to get in shops and Legalized but other countries have different standards yes some artist wear arm protectors and chef robs all in all it’s how you take care of it and a lot of clients suck at it and you being that guy shows you just couldn’t not type or delete your message it’s super easy
