How To Remote Start Any 2015+ Lexus Using The Keyfob

- This video will teach you how to use remote start on any 2015 or newer Lexus vehicle using the factory keyfob instead of using the Lexus Enform app. Many owners don't know that this functionality is built into the key from the factory so this will hopefully teach you something new! You do have to have an active subscription for this to work from the key fob or the app.

@@victorespinosa3219 maybe you need to look at the drive window, i noticed that it has a very small transparent sticker that says this vehicle is equipped with start engine remote, if it has this sticker and still not working then maybe there's something isn't right

I just bought a used 2018 RC 350 yesterday. I walked outside to test after watching this video and it worked!!! Also, I do NOT have the remote start subscription, I think the subscription is only to remote start via your smart phone/smart watch etc. Thank you for this video!

A safety feature should be if someone doesnt have the keyfob on them while the car was remoted started and they try to open the door then the car shuts off......if you have the keyfob on you and try to open the door the car should stay on after you remote started....if it constantly cutting off when the door is open when you remote start it and have to turn it back on will cause issue to the starter as time goes
Good point. I will use it when it’s cold outside. This will help with prolonging the starter over time.

Enform subscription is no longer available for 3G connected vehicles (some 2018 vehicles and all 2017 and older no longer can connect). Just something to think about.
So there’s no way to remote start on those models besides that? I have a 2017 and doesn’t work for me

I own a 2018 RX350L. My remote application just stopped working today as well as SOS. Unable to connect to the emergency call center. Called and was told that there is a DCM firmware update needed. I went to the Lexus website, and it says no updates available. The fob started it. I really liked the application because it has many other features.
*Beautiful vehicle, and you have the longer model. Unfortunately, it seems like they have discontinued the Lexus Enform app, I believe, but check with the dealership. Did they state why it's not working from the remote application? My SOS button doesn't work either. I used to press it, and it would connect me directly with the call center where I would speak with someone. Now it beeps and gives me an 800 # to call. Lol, and the new Lexus app that they tell us to download is totally useless as it only provides our vehicle's service history, booked appointments at the dealership, past appointments, and our vehicle's information. There is no autostart feature, or apps like iHeart, etc., that used to be available in the past.*

It’s just to warm the car up, it turns off so no one jumps in and steals the car... seen it on a Kia and most modern cars😂 no big deal 🤷🏽♂️.... Great video!
modern cars don't need warm up, it does more harm than good warming modern cars up.

I have owned my 2017 Lexus IS200t for 2 years and never knew it had a remote start feature until today. I don't have lexus enform and the remote start still worked for me. On the 3rd press after holding for a few seconds the car will start as soon as you stop pressing the lock button.
All Lexus comes free with 3 years enform

Hi. When you say you need an active subscription, what type/package? Does it have to be the "safety with remote" ($16/mo) or you only need the basic "safety connect" ($8/mo). Thank you.
I just called Lexus a few days ago, and you do need the 'safety with remote' subscription to start your car remotely.

I must be missing something. Why do you want/need to start the car when outside of the car? How far away are you that you have to start it maybe to warm it up?? I am in Arizona and may not understand. Maybe we need this to turn on the AC. LOL

Yea, you don't have to worry about this if your living in temps that don't drop far below 60 degrees. Live in an area where it is constantly below freezing in the winter, and you will quickly understand why this is needed lol.

crap, DOES NOT work on my 2016 nx200t... tried w/both keyfobs... NOTHING. will NOT pay them 8.99 per month 2 start my car a few times per month... NO starter install company will touch it ...
You only need to press the lock button two times (not 3) and then hold the lock button again for nine seconds and then it will start.

No, its a safety feature so no one runs into ya car and drive off before u reach ya car.

Imagine if it's done correctly it engages a self destruct feature with a t minus 15secs count down. Apparently has been manufacturing vehicles with self destruction features in them since the late 80's for some reason. 🤭☺️

Not necessarily, and yes, I want it to cool down or warm up the vehicle and moat only work up to say 15 ft away as in from inside your house, to your driveway 😅 it also has to be locked, it also doesn't "start" the vehicle you still have to start it when you get in 👌

Than push Lock baton on door and close window from outside. .Vuala! Now the only way to open it is. ..With mechanical key. .

I have a 2019 GX460 and this procedure did not work for me. Tried multiple times and nothing.
If you have a green led light up above by the SOS its active. If its off then its not active. U have to pay though for the remote start which is dumb as hell, get safety+remote.

If its brand new you get it for 1 year free. After that any 15+ you have to oay for through Lexus Enform app u download on your phone. Then you just have to go through the activation steps
