I’m a big Brad Paisley fan. And I’m old enough to remember car rides without watching TV. But when I think about what kind of drastically changes my grandparents lived through. A couple years ago I showed my grandparents my new iPad and my grandma said “look at that and when we were young we didn’t even have a car!” I really like the song! It’s such a positive outlook and I really need that sometimes. Actually I need more of that. Thank you for the reaction. Always great!
I was born in the 90’s and I remember all those things at the beginning! I have kids now, but they also don’t get anything like that besides listening to Spotify in the car sometimes. This song is so so important to me in reminding me how far we have come as a world in such a short amount of time, like you said, since our grandparents were young.
As a 25 year old, I 100% get this song lol. I might have always been able to watch tv in the car, but I can still understand the feeling behind it because there is a lot of stuff today that exists that I never would have thought about when I was younger. (I’m not berating anyone, just starting a conversation btw, this is in no way meant to be a negative comment) You don’t have to be older to empathize with this feeling. Love this song! Great reaction guys!
I am laughing at myself.. This is my 1st time watching these guys reactions and I got lost when they went from talking about the video to the whisky at the end....lol
My 8 yr old granddaughter says she wants to be a cardio thoracic surgeon. But she has family in the medical field. Of course she nearly hyperventilates at the sight of blood so I’m not sure that she’s going in the right field. lol.
As an old people - thank you, Brad, for the song. I don’t even care that little kids are naming careers that no little kid can name. The message is to dream big, and we all should.
When my sister was 4 years old, she told our parents that she wanted to be a prestidigitator. So it is not the usual, but young children can and do use advanced words sometimes.
I'm older than y'all & I love Brad Paisley & this video. There is a video out there with Brad playing the rock song #HotForTeacher with a little kid around 6 or 8 playing the drums. That little kid is an awesome drummer & you know Brad is an awesome guitar player so you guys should check it out!
This for me is like most Brad Paisley songs, in that it's great to hear once but I'm not bothered if I never hear it again. He's super talented, but never really grabs me. If you love him though more power to you.
He did a reprise to this song on the same album. It’s mostly acoustic and he talks about going on a date and watching Father of the Bride. It’s another example of how good of a writer he is. He’s also got a short instrumental Back to the Future. Cheers!
Admittedly, there was a VCR in the center console of my parents' minivan. So we kind of had TV on road trips. Must have drove my dad crazy wearing out the same tape of Rugrats haha. Later upgraded to the DVD model. But still had plenty of road trips staring out the window.
You're right it is more relatable to us old people. I would note that the song itself is 15 years old. So us old people were middle aged when it came out. Lol!
Great reaction as always. I think the thing you kinda missed is the fact that this song came out 15 years ago, the tvs in cars and games on your phone was pretty new at that time for most people.
Yes, I'm old, I'm 60, born in the last 6 months of the baby Boomer generation and the beginning of the GenXrs. I remember going on trips when I was a kid wishing I had a TV in the car, I also remember at the age of abt 6 years old (that was 1970) dreaming of a way to record my dreams while I slept. It wasn't quite the same but I was weirded out when vcrs and camcorders came out because they were almost like the machine I remember dreaming about. As to the kid saying Systems Analyst. In this day and age I wouldn't be surprised. There are some kid geniuses I've seen on tv talked about.
Keith, I highly recommend you check out Keith Urban - Chuck Taylors live from the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The way he plays the main riff and sings over it is amazing.
It's funny that y'all are drinking Evan Williams, I have a buddy that turned a bottle of it up and drank half a bottle of it when we were seniors in high school @ a party. Needless to say, he was OUT of it and done after that about 45 minutes after we got to the party. It was hilarious!!! I'll be 54 years old in December, but I remember it like yesterday.
Well you guys do realize that there are pretty advanced kids out there, that know exactly what they want to do at an early age. I was in Uni at 16 after graduating high school at 15, on my way to being a Psychologist and I'd known I wanted to do that since I was a kid. Some of us are just built different. This song is also from 2009, it's 15 yrs. old.
I chuckled at that. The thing is, good systems and business analysts are true unsung heroes of industrial and corporate productivity. But they'll never be recognized for it. - Keith
This is something that will never be played on this channel. But have y'all heard of Tina S? She has played some of the hardest guitar solos! And done it before she turned 17. At 17 she played moonlight Sonata on electric guitar, yes classical music! If y'all have not seen her it would be a real treat! They're all on TH-cam. Then she just stopped posting anything! She went to college. And finally came back after 7 years!
@@ambergerber5162 I'm 65 and looked it up and still really not sure myself! So I'm guessing that makes me dumber than you! But I seen they make just under $90,000 yr here in Texas!
The Systems analyst made me laugh too. The only thing I could think of it being legit, is if that kid's parent or favorite family member is a systems analyst and they know that and want to be like that family member. but lol... i paused too. too funny
When y’all gonna do the brothers Osbourne I’ve been waiting a long minute? “Shoot from the hip”a gd starter if y’all want a huge hit choose “stay a little longer” and if ya into awesome pickin choose their hIt “It ain’t my fault” and “stay a little longer “
Bwahahaha Keith your face when you were like he’s doing nothing lol!!! The solo is nearly always after the second verse unless it’s an all guitar all the time kinda song which he has a few of.
I recommend Chase Rice "Bench Seat", I can't afford to send y'all a bottle of bourbon because I'm paralyzed and on disability. I think y'all should do this song, so do it for a cripple!! Consider it as a charitable contribution, it'll make y'alls heart feel good to do God's work.
I know ya’ll don’t get political but I just have to say…it made me a little sad rewatching this. Don’t wake up MKL I feel like he would be so ashamed of the state of our race relations today. I’m a content of character girl like mama raised me to be. I’m also a I only want it if I earned it kinda woman. I want nothing to do with placement because I’m a chick.
Nah. I'm in the field. Systems analyst is a really obscure job title, that isn't considered "glorious" or "cool" at all. They can be critical roles for sure, and can definitely pay well, but not something people know anything about in general. Most adults couldn't tell you what a systems analyst actually does. Try an informal poll on your own. Ask ten adults what a "systems analyst" does. I bet you get ten different answers. - Keith
The little girl that wanted to be a heart surgeon maybe a parent or grandparent need heart surgery and she realized she want to be a heart surgeon after that it's not that difficult to imagine

I get so excited when you all do another Brad! His catalog is so deep and hits all the feels…funny, sad, sweet, old school, new school…I love Brad!
The way Keith says “the youngins ain’t gonna get it” Also, love Dustin encouraging Keith “do it, do it”. 😄
Awesome reaction guys thanks for for the video

This is the song that Brad did at Obama's Inauguration. If you keep that in mind, it being an old people song makes more sense. Great reaction guys.

Dustin please put a vote in for brad paisley time warp.
You gotta get a single barrel, that's the best with the Evan Williams name on it in my opinion.
my daughter turns 12 next Wednesday, and she has told me "all the money is in technology " so I could buy the systems analyst comment as a possibility
Nah, it's one of the least-known career paths in technology. Not a "sexy" job at all. Critical though. And it *does* tend to pay well. - Keith
And just maybe one of their parents was a systems analyst.
@@phyl1042 that was my thought she knows one personally
The systems analyst mention might be a tribute to brainiac parents and the surgeon one is a nod to a Grey's anatomy fan
My wife is a business analyst. When our daughter was younger, my wife asked her if she wanted to do that when she grew up. No hesitation…”no”.

It could of been that one of her parents was a systems analyst

I would love for you guys to react to Joe Bachman - A Soldier's Memoir (PTSD Song) [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO], Thank you

Bwahahaha Keith your face when you were like he’s doing nothing lol!!! The solo is nearly always after the second verse unless it’s an all guitar all the time kinda song which he has a few of.
Yeah, that's the classic rock song formula. Verse - Verse - Solo - Verse. I was waiting for it. - Keith
