@@vripp757I keep saying they need to hear Carry Underwood do this when Randy Travis comes in and finishes with her. It's at the grand old opry and it's really special
Randy Travis was Garth Brook's hero, because of what he did in the 80's for country by bringing it back to its roots. He always said I wouldn't have a career without Randy Travis.
Randy Travis is a country treasure. One of my favorites is On The Other Hand which I think you guys would love the message. And the WV in me loves a song that can throw out a wiper will so you should definitely check out Deeper Than The Hollar.
Was gonna come mention this, but you already got it. They need to react to I told yo so. After that for Keith they need to do Carrie Underwood's version
Hey guys, you did Three Wooden Crosses, by Randy. Also he was in the Forever Country video, with the Artists of Now, Then and Forever... Randy was sitting at a table, but he didn't sing, as it was filmed after he had his stroke. Great reaction.
Randy Travis is a country music legend. There's just something about his voice that draws you in. He has never needed outrageous antics to entertain because him singing is enough. And he has so many songs. Anything by him is incredible. He also sings some of his classics with Josh Turner and they sing Josh's song 'Long Black Train'. I really suggest listening to them together, they sound amazing. Unfortunately, Randy Travis has had some serious health issue, going all the way back to 2013.
Randy is a legend before his stroke he would also act to he been in movies his voice is amazing I been listening to him since the early 90s you cant go wrong with any of his music
He has many great songs, I would recommend his songs "I told you so" and "Deeper than a Holler" as well as his performance with Josh Turner especially the song "King of the Road"
He's a legend. Really helped to bring back the more traditional country sound. On the Other Hand Three Wooden Crosses It's Just a Matter of Time I Told You So....these are just a few great songs of his
I Told You So by Randy Travis is so so good and then 20 years after he wrote and recorded it Carrie Underwood covered it for her 2nd album and took it back up to the top of the country charts and together they won a Grammy for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals. Her version is a must hear!
Lots of great Randy Travis songs guys. One of my faves is told from the point of view of a guy remembering back when he was a little kid, and used to spend lots of time with his great-grandfather who was his hero. It is called "He Walked on Water".
Randy Travis had some great songs in the early 80s and was credited with bringing back traditional country music. Some of my favorites of his: 1982 Diggin' Up Bones Deeper Than The Holler He Walked On Water Better Class of Losers Three Wooden Crosses These would be my suggestions. Thanks for a reaction a classic song.
I heard him from the first time in the 1980's. I REMEMBER PLAYING HIs music, being amased that the people never heard of him before. I am proud to have introduced them to this man that never had ever heard of any of his songs before. Amen
He is a superstar. "Three Wooden Crosses" is a great song, but you need to pay attention to figure it out. Also, "If I told you that I love you" is a great one. Great reaction guys.
My love and I were married in 1990, this is the song we walked back down the isle after our vows! We still say forever and ever when we say I Love You!
Randy has a voice of an angel a great baritone not many people would know but this man lives down the street from where I used to live in South Carolina now I've had a stroke and some other issues but he still gets out there and he still tries to sing some of the best songs ever 3 crosses on the side of the road God-bless peace be with you much loving respect Tampa angel Do one that is by Elvis Presley If I could dream
I have always loved this song since it first came out in 1987.When it came out, it was part of the Neo Country music movement that started in the 1980s that featured such artists as The Judds,K.D. Lang,Alan Jackson , Garth Brooks,Brooks and Dunn and many more. It has such a nice melody and beautiful lyrics.Randy Travis has a wonderful voice that is perfectly suited for Country music but I also loved his cover version recording of Brook Benton''s "It's Just a Matter of Time".If you haven't heard it you should check it out.He recorded it as part of a Rock n' Roll and R&B 10 song collection album entitled "Rock,Rhythm & Blues" and was included in his album entitled "No Holdin' Back". Like the woman he sings about in this song, I will always love it "forever and forever ".
You did react to one of his songs about a year ago: "Three Wooden Crosses" Randy Travis is truly an OG. He has suffered the past few years overcoming a stroke that affected his speech and ability to communicate. One of the all-time favorite country stars of the '80s and '90s. In spite of the devastating effects of his stroke and brain surgery, he has continued to make music.
This was a great reaction it's one of my favorite Randy Travis songs. Some other ones I think you guys would like by him are- If I didn't have you, I told you so, and He walked on water.
Randy Travis had a stroke in 2013. At the CMA Awards 50th Anniversary opening performance Randy Travis had his first comeback performance. Definitely worth a watch. Would also recommend Randy Travis Three Wooden Crosses, On the Other Hand, Deeper than the Hollow, and Diggin’ Up Bones.
He is one of the greatest musicians! Unfortunately, that stroke took him out. We still see him chime in from time to time, but I don't think he will ever be whole again. Country musicians keep his music alive though in every way, shape, and form...amen! ❤❤❤
SO GLAD you've found Randy Travis. He is currently suffering from end-stage cancer (throat cancer, I think). He's very grateful for all his fans, and his wife, who is sticking with him and helping him fight.
Randy Travis is an amazing singer that came out of what it's known as the class of 89 because that was the year that became flooded with pre country legends Clint Garth and Randy to name but a few. he has endured great success legal troubles and health struggles and slowly making a return comeback
As others have said, you have reacted to Three Wooden Crosses by Randy Travis. I also vote for you all to react to his I Told You So ft. Carrie Underwood and Whisper My Name.
First song I remember by him was Digging Up Bones. Then there's 1982, The Storms of Life, Before You Kill Us All. More than the 3 songs everyone suggests. Then it all stopped with his stroke.
You have done one other randy song "three wooden crosses " he is one of the greatest. Sad part is he had a stroke a few years ago and can no longer sing, but he was also one of the artists in your "forever country " reaction.
Sadly, several Strokes took Randy’s voice. In the “John Denver” video, we see Randy, sitting, looking out the window. He is still Cherished in Country Music.
I had to go look and see if you guys did a Randy Travis song before. You did, Three Wooden Crosses, and i was laughing so hard at Keith's comments that it took me 20 minutes just to get through the song part!! 😂 Anyway I don't think I know much of Randy Travis' music but he's amazing!
Such a sad thing happened to him with a life altering stroke that has taken his singing. He was very popular during the 80s and 90s. On The Other Hand, Three Wooden Crosses, and pretty much any song he ever did
Love Randy! This is one of his best. Some others are Deeper than the holler; On the other hand; If I didn't have you; Too gone too long; Is it still over. Another voice you've missed out on is Clint Black! No time to kill; When my ship comes in; A bad goodbye; When I said I do. He also has an amazing rendition of "Desperado".
3 Wooden Crosses. Is a must. On July 7, 2013, Travis was admitted to a Dallas-area hospital for viral cardiomyopathy after a viral upper respiratory infection. His condition was classified as critical. Three days later, Travis suffered a massive stroke, then underwent surgery to relieve pressure on his brain. He was only 54.
Randy is a GOAT & has a ton of great hits. 'Three wooden crosses' is an amazing 'story' song. 'On the other hand', 'Diggin' up bones', 'I told you so', 'Deeper than the holler' are all great hits.
" A Few Old County Boys " with George Jones is a good one too. You can hear the influence Jones had on Randy's style from the "growls" they do when they sing together. lol
Songs: He Walks on Water (fantastic lyrics!!), Deeper than the Holler, Too Gone for Too Long. You did react to one of his songs; Three Wooden Crosses. He was absolutely huge in the late 80s/Early 90s. He had a stroke in the early 2010s and doesn't preform anymore.
Some of my personal favorites from him that won't get mention near as much as "Three Wooden Crosses" and "I Told You So", but are still great, are his songs "It's Just A Matter of Time," "Promises," and "He Walked on Water." I also love episode of when he appeared on the George Jones show, and the episode of some love performance show called something like "Influences" where he and George Jones sat together in front of a crowd and talked about their influencers and sang a bunch of songs, including songs that influenced them. Those shows are uploaded on TH-cam.
G'day boys, I'm pretty sure you've done at least one RT, I think it was "Three Wooden Crosses". Here's also a few to add to the list, "Diggin' Up Bones"; "On The Other Hand"; "Mama Tried"; "I Told You So",,,all are great and he has a very distinctive voice, doesn't sound like anyone else... Randy has also done the odd bit of acting over the years. He was in a couple of episodes of Touched By An Angel and also co-starred in"Black Dog" with Patrick Swayze and Michael Lee-Aday aka Meatloaf... Unfortunately he no longer works after suffering a severe stroke about 10 or so years ago... life can be a cruel bugger...🥺 🙃🐨🇦🇺
I love that buttery silky voice. He has so many great songs. This one always touches me. My brother in law played this as they shaved my sister's hair because she was losing it due to chemo. He is a stand up guy and this song is so sweet. Thank u.
Crazy how many memories you guys are bringing back from my childhood. My mother used to do janitorial services for out local country radio station when I was young, bout 8-9. Heard so much of this music, made great friends with the DJ’s. Often times I was in the booth with them, they would let me pick songs, commercials, and even hit the buttons. So many good memories, all back was station music was on cartridges bigger than 8 tracks and stored on the wall in the booths.
I am a huge JT fan and I agree completely. One of the best voices of all time. He was also in the forever country video (sorry to bring it up). He was at the piano, but was too sick to sing
Okay guys so a year ago you guys reacted to Three Wooden Crosses by Randy Travis, you've reacted to him before. Search your own channel, he's there, the reaction got 766 likes and 249 comments about how good Randy was. And Josh Turner came up idolizing Randy Travis, they have very similar voices, and they do an amazing duet live of this song. Then Scotty McCreery (who I don't think you've reacted to yet and you should) came up, has the same similar deep baritone voice, idolizing Josh Turner, etc. There are 3 generations of incredible male vocalists who sing like this with that deep Baritone timbre, awesome technique and have a great range. Unfortunately Randy had a massive Stroke a few years back and can no long sing, but he is able to walk again and is gaining his voice back to be able to speak some. Randy Travis IS a country music Legend and just a great human being. Really hope you'll check out the Josh Turner/Randy Travis duet of this song Live, it's amazing. ❤
You did 3 wooden crosses. You need to hear/see carry Underwood sing Randy Travis' "I told you So" at the grand Ole Opry. He comes out to present her with something and finishes with her. It's special
You have done a Randy Travis song gifted his best to ruin it before things ever got going good you did Three wooden and yes forever and ever amen is one of those timeless classics it will never go away. Love your reaction to this one.

I'm loving that you like the stuff I sent you this time. I don't really drink at all. Occasionally I have a Mike's Hard Lemonade but that's about it. So I don't have any reference to what I send you. I just kinda pick stuff at random. Hence the Sake bit. But I'm glad the sample box has some hits. Shotgun method for the win.
The timbre of his rich baritone voice is unparalleled. My favorite Randy Travis songs are Reasons I Cheat; Promises; Take Another Swing At Me; This is Me; Look Heart, No Hands; Spirit of a Boy, Wisdom of a Man; That’s Where I Draw the Line; I Told You So; The Box; He Walked On Water; Three Wooden Crosses; Hard Rock Bottom of Your Heart; It’s Just a Matter of Time; On the Other Hand; and Forever and Ever Amen. Oh and the click of the camera reminded you of Freeze Frame, not Centerfold.
A couple of Randy’s great songs are I told you so and Three wooden crosses. He is an amazing artist. So glad y’all finally got to him.😊
I forgot about I told you so. That was a good one too.
There's also a good version of "I Told You So" by both Randy and Carrie Underwood together.

I LOVE this one!
Thats a good one!
Randy Travis was HUGE back in the 80s. He's got an impressive catalog. Plus, he's sang some beautiful gospel music, too.

I definitely cast my vote for this! He has a great library of music.
Forgot about Whisper My Name. Great song!

"On The Other Hand" is a great one of his early tunes. 1989, Diggin Up Bones, Three Wooden Crosses, Deeper then the holler
