Hi brother, I know you always looking for suggestions for future videos. In the collaboration you done with the Inside Fighting TH-cam channel you gave a snippet of some really cool silat ground work and then he gave some similarities with bjj. I would really like to see more silat ground work simple and practical drills and techniques for movement striking and sweeps from the ground and also when there is weaponry involved. Maybe a series on groundwork over a number of videos. That would be awesome.
Great suggestion! Im glad you watched the video I did with my boy Ilan from Inside Fighting. I will definitely do some ground work vids. Thanks for the suggestions.
Fun Fact.. Kung Fu isn't actually a word for martial art like karate, Silt, etc. Kung Fu (originally called Gung Fu) actually means (loosely translated) "extreme training and mastering of you're skill." So you could be a Kung Fu chef. During one of Bruce Lee's interviews when asked how he got so good and his reply was "Kung Fu." He didn't mean the martial art made him good, he meant he got good through extreme training and mastering of his art. Just Westerners (like me) didn't understand the meaning of the word at the time and just applied it to martial arts only. Sensei Seth actually has a interesting video about the word Kung Fu.
Seeing techniques like this opens up the eyes to how efficient silat could be in a western street fight when most people's fighting styles are influenced by boxing and mma
If you have not watched my first video on Silat Hard block Strikes check it out. Follow this link: th-cam.com/video/Nv2MUPIE8ag/w-d-xo.html
In love with these techniques! 👊🏻
Thank you, my brother!
Great double block and love how you go high to block the hook and stop that power/momentum!
Great long demo‼️ A lot of useful techniques 💯

This is why I like watching your video's. I see some minor to more notable differences between our Silat styles.

Good point Tyler.
For the double forearm strike, couldn't you hit the side of the face with that second strike instead of the bicep?
For sure. These are just concepts anything is game and always changing. Good question!
