I’ve got a 602N with a secondary burn plate which is toast along with the inner panels. I’m going to eliminate the secondary burn plate and cast iron inner side panels opting for fire brick all around.
The Baffle is needed to guide the smoke in a half sircle before it leaves out the chimney or exit. I guess you can make a partly functional one with vermiculite or chamot
I am installing a 602 N in my cabin. It is assembled to the same point where this video ends. Yet, I have bottom and side plates with steel wool attached to them that were given to me with the stove to be installed before using. Do you have a video for how to install these? Or do they not really go with the stove?
Hey ! Those plates with insulation is for new types that came around 1998. The older ones has different burn plates...and has no burn plates in bottom. In bottom it is recommended 2.....3 cm of stove sand or keep building up the ash layer...and in time it does the same service/ job. There is a baffel plate and two side plates only on the old ones. Use google or e-bay and look up the differences. Jotul 602
Hey ! Stove pasta from www.biltema.no , but that tube version is no longer on marked. Replaced with new on. Every stove boutike/store, sell stove crem..or pasta... Many tupes on marked !
Huh,,, So, those outer tracks was NOT for a glassfiber wick kind of deal as I shopped for... I once glued some flue adapters together with that 1500*C Biltema Brandmassa. They stuck for good :D . Will that stove ever be able to be disassembled again ? Edit; Why did you split the door gasket wick into two parts ?
Very nice. I aleays want to replace my electric heater with a wood stove in my workshop.. this is a good kind that warms a lot :-))!!

Good question. I guess it was somhow broken or half gone...so i made it in two part to avoid the broken part of the rope... :-)
Nice job.
Thx 🙂
You performed a super rehab. 👍
Thx allot ! :-)
but mine says jotul beside the 602 n mines old old
Next time try using some cutting oil with the drill bit and the tap
You have the wrong side plates. You should have played with three holes
Thats wrong. You have old style burn plates and you have new ones... Ok
@@motordiverse1276 but if there is three pegs it should be plates with three holes too..?
The back pigs are for the smoke plate that lay above...guiding the smoke front and back...and out chimney...@@bjrn-erikmichalsen2825
