Good grief. People are always saying that they want a "camp knife" and then present knives that are not camp knives. 1. No one in his right mind goes around "batoning" tree limbs. They are wet inside, not good for fires. Unless you Dan'l Boone, you aren't going to be in the wilds long enough to build a log cabin, and then you would have an axe or a hatchet. 2. many sportsmen/hunters/subsistence farmers/indigenous people have survived without carrying a relative of a WW2 combat knife. All you need for a camp knife is a cheap 7 inch bladed Ontario Old Hickory butcher knife in a Mexican made, WW2 ka-bar sheath. Total package is under $30. Oh, you want something smaller and sharp, then any Mora.
Matt Ashe right? the performance of the tops is pathetic. for the grind of blade and the design of it i think a stronger backlock would have been much better then a liner lock. look at the cold steel finnwolf for example.
For camping it is best to carry a fixed blade and a Victorinox sak with it since you've mentioned traditional folders. 91mm and 111mm offer a wide range of tool options which are best for light to medium tasks.
