I also bought mine sight unseen. In fact I had never seen one in person until last Monday, when I picked up mine. All i can say is that it is an amazing car!! You will not be disappointed! You are pretty much a rock star with everyone else wanting to look at the car. I have already been pulled over by the cops, who just wanted to look at the car!! lol
Its the best car I have ever owned. I love it! The 6 speed is well worth it (automatic is standard, extra for the 6 speed). With the 6 speed the car will chirp the tires all the way into 3rd gear (1st to 2nd, and 2nd to 3rd). It has so much power that if you turn off the stability control, it has a hell of a time keeping traction. It will throw you to the back of the seat, HARD.
You are correct, those are the SRT-8 catbacks. Installed the SRT8 MBRP so they would bold right up tothe larger flange on the kooks headers And high flow cats
The suitcase looking thing is the Muffler, the things on the pipes themselves were the resonators. That Suitcase muffler is the reason why there is a difference in HP ratings between the Automatic vs. 6Speed.
When the Diablo Predator is available for your car... I would get it... Made a world of a difference for me. I thought it was just hooplah, but, they're right... it's really good.
It sounds great! I would almost go as far to say that this is the best sounding Challenger I've heard, but I can't be certain because of the video quality.

You're right... 2009 stock is a bit louder than the 2008 SRT8... I think it's because the exhaust system is completely different than then the 2008. Nice job!!
Hey bud! I did the same thing! I ordered this one while in Afghanistan! All in all, including all the Billet and engine and interior dress-up items, i spent about $5000. Just the exhaust alone was $3200+ install. If you got the 6speed, its stock exhaust sounds really good (like above) but the automatic is VERY quiet, you will for sure want to replace it!!
You can actually use the back seats, the back of the front seats are recessed, for added leg room. Head room- plenty, I am 6'1" and have plenty of room. Trunk space is great! especially when the seats are folded down!
Also the Automatic and the 6speed have completley different exhaust. The Auto's have a suitcase muffler which makes them quiet. The 6speeds have something closer to straight pipes

Sounds great man! I have MBRP on my r/t and I dont have any flutter either its seems to just be camera that messes it up. I was wondering if you got your car dynoed yet since you got the header put on. I was wondering how much gain you got for them.

The R/T's biggest weakness is the stock exhaust manifolds. The SRT8 has nice shorty headers, and of course aftermarket longtubes are even better. Not sure if the cats are the same in the SRT8 vs. R/T.
@jcarterwick I have had ZERO issues with this setup. Only thing i guess was the O2 sensor light did eventually come on after a month or two, but that was expected. Nothing the predator cant take of.
@msbaugh440 Well its a matter of opinion, but i will say that two challenger owners in my club switched from Corsa to MBRP. If your hear them side by side, there is no comparison.

DAMN! I was told that they changed the design and made the suitcase the resonator and placed the giant cans (mufflers) behind the rear wheels. Like a tootsi-pop, the world just may never know. How's your 0-60 in the R/T ? Best ATM for me is: 4.78. You can see in my vids.
okay, ricer, tunner, whatever you wanna call it....i really don't care. but to answer your question, i haven't went out to data log some runs, as i stated in my previous comment, these cars aren't about calculating everything to maximum precision. they're meant to be driven around on the streets and enjoyed. if you wanna do otherwise, be my guest. but don't jump down my throat for merely stating a point.

I am biased of course, but i honestly think that the new Camaro will become very popular, just like the Mustang, and will be a hoe-hum experience when you see one, like the mustang. The dodge on the other hand is not nearly as common. I get a comment everyday about my car!!
But, do you have those GIANT cans (and I mean big! like 12+ inches) behind the rear wheels? Putting two of those together are like twice the size of the suitcase.
@mitchlupo Ya thats it, because all mustangs are faster out of the box then the Challengers. Maybe it sounds better stock since it sounds like a low compression boat now.

I guess i'll keep lookin and when i get more money in my pocket i'll just do it i mean it wont hurt any right? did you get acheck engine light when you put it on? the high flow cat?
Well i can for sure MATCH a stock SRT. I have the same HP, and have toyed around with an orange one and won 2 outta 4 races, the two i lost were less than a fender.

@217zenki the R/T makes 336HP at the wheels, with all my mods, mine makes 390 at the wheels on the Dyno!

Just Dyno'd the Challenger, I am pushing 363HP and 387TQ at the wheels. Thats SAE corrected. My actual HP to the ground 373HP 398TQ.
