Me too! They almost lost me when the Orca pod killed the Grey Whale calf. I couldn't even watch that part, just listened dejected and heart sick. I absolutely love Orca but that, killing whale calves, is one thing that I truly, genuinely despise about them. And when they kill sharks, especially the really large ones that are so rare, and they eat only the sharks liver. A handful of White sharks washed up dead on a South African beach with only the livers missing, a handful of years ago and one of the sharks was a 15' or 16' feet very large (very rare these days) White and then the Whites disappeared from South Africa for a few years because of the Orca. Also if I'm not mistaken the only part of the whale calves they eat is the bottom or lower jaw, I'm not positive but remember that from a docu a while back. Whales are threatened and endangered, almost every type are and are a slow reproducing animal. It's so heart breaking to think of the mother whale and how much time and effort she puts into her calf and how desperately hard she fights to try and protect her offspring. I saw a docu about whales years ago and although I couldn't watch that part, when a pod of Orca attacked the mother and baby whale, I remember the narrator saying that the mother fought the Orca pod for over 8 hours to protect her calf and she almost drowned herself but only gave up when she was too exhausted to move and nearly died herself. I'm sorry for the long reply! Please forgive me! They will then travel up one of the stream(one step and you’re on the other side, it is that small) making up the creek and sure the creek was full of rocks and boulders but we catched them clean and sold all the rocks and boulders to companies and they cleaned it. I remember people waiting at the spawning place at night and then catching everything clean which was evil. Forget about those fish now even the river is drying up(seeping underground)as there are no rocks even the size of fist left. My generation is doing all stuffs for the preservation of what is remaining but unfortunately for some species it is too late.
42:30 the Southern Resident Orca matriarch known as Granny who was over 100 years old; has presumably passed away in the last year. Humans have devastated this Orca population and need to help them re-establish. They are basically the human equivalent (most intelligent top predator) of the oceans.
Historically, the southern residents have never been more than 100 and their numbers fluctuate. There are currently 74 with two new calf’s this year. I think they will be just fine. They have had smaller numbers in the past.
Love Roosevelt Elk. Take one a year, the meat lasts all year. The hide gets used to make drums, canoes, leggings, blankets. Around here the sea otter are decimating the shell fish. So I take one every time I see it here on Prince of Wales island.
Hate to be this guy, but Olympic National Park does not include the ocean. This is the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary. If they get that wrong it makes me wonder what other things are wrong in this doc.
Great stuff - liked it a lot - However the expression is "couldn't care less" at the end of the video with the black bear eating berries. Just a note of the producers if they read these.
Never attacked humans in the wild (only in captivity, after years of unnatural environment and trauma). They are highly intelligent, sensitive, display emotion, and family stay together.

Forget about those fish now even the river is drying up(seeping underground)as there are no rocks even the size of fist left. My generation is doing all stuffs for the preservation of what is remaining but unfortunately for some species it is too late.
Amazing Olympic National Park, I hope so to visit one day. 🐿🐻🐐🐦🐥🐳🐬🐋🐟🦀🏔🗻🌎

pls don't call my son the spiny dogfish shark a killer, he has anxiety
Lizy.....Pls go see a psychiatrist
How did you get the eggs on the camera? That was amazing
Probably a different scene of a fish laying eggs and not a wild scene.
I didn't know the Transient whales went through WA state. I thought only the Southern Resident Orca were there.
Love Roosevelt Elk.
Take one a year, the meat lasts all year.
The hide gets used to make drums, canoes, leggings, blankets.
Around here the sea otter are decimating the shell fish. So I take one every time I see it here on Prince of Wales island.
fear fear lies deceit,,, fear fear lies deceit and repeat... you are real inventive! and proper original..
I wonder which female orca is that old. I think that Granny died several years ago.
Fantastic documentary.go on boss.
I like that they listen to the viewers’ opinions and suggestions!
Olympic National Park - Ruby Beach ❤❤
Fascinating how each species has unique lines of defense to protect against being eaten. The power of evolution!
so happy this was narrated in American English as it should be🙂
Hate to be this guy, but Olympic National Park does not include the ocean. This is the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary. If they get that wrong it makes me wonder what other things are wrong in this doc.
tysm for the vedio.. it was not easy to got all the footage. takes time, exhausting and sacrification..
Do the orca just toss them in the air for fun? or is it so they can share it
Great stuff - liked it a lot - However the expression is "couldn't care less" at the end of the video with the black bear eating berries. Just a note of the producers if they read these.
nature is just sooo beautiful
Great picture. Must be said that both the narrator, and the text he’s reading, are subpar.
Wow, that's a lot of eggs from that salmon fish. Otters with their funny moves.
LOVE TO SEE ORCAS HUNTING
THEY ARE SO INTELLIGENT, CUTE AND FRIENDLY ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Me Too! 😍🌊🐋
I miss it so much sometimes it aches. No matter where I go in the world, the Peninsula will always be home to me.
for all the people complaining about ads if you drag the timer to the end and then restart none of the ads will show.
Anybody else ever wondered why orcas don't seem to eat swimmers or divers much?
Never attacked humans in the wild (only in captivity, after years of unnatural environment and trauma). They are highly intelligent, sensitive, display emotion, and family stay together.
They are *not "killer whales," they aren't "whales" at all. They are *Orcas, the largest member of the Dolphin "family."
The Olympic Peninsula is as close to perfect as God could make a place on earth. Too bad humans had to show up.
excellent videographer !
Roosevelt elks... Massive ! This forest looks magical
It is dark and dreary and rainy on the Olympic peninsula. If you move here, you will hate it. You might even be attacked by wild animals.
Everything we have learned and need to learn can be discovered by observing and respecting nature.
I’m excited! When are you going to show us how to catch salmon with our teeth?
OMG ! nature is really gorgeous .
